Corruption is inevitable, but in this case, Johnny's is absolutely sickening.

In our country also we can see that court system is created to protect murderer or rapist or thieves. Although they get 14+ yrs imprisonment and hang punishment. But cases always goes like such a hectic way. Disctict court, province court then supreme court. It takes sometimes 20-22 yrs But court should strict towards these criminals.

The lesson remains relevant for any other countries: stop watching big corporation owned TVs, regulate corporations so it couldn't do what Johnny's do which is monopolising the entertainment industry. This scandal also ties into the whole child modelling industry (whole 'nother can of worms) and obviously the girl idol culture in the East Asian countries.

It is pointed out that Johnny Kitagawa is indeed a legend, raising many young boys into superstars, but for more than 50 years, Japanese society has covered up for Kitagawa the scandal that he has long been accused of sexual abuse by his artists, although Kitagawa died in 2019 at the age of 87, and although a few media have reported the incident for more than 3 years, the relevant reports have not received attention.

Btw, there is also rumour about such scandal in Japanese Olympics. The female chair (old woman) took some advantage of Japanese male athletes.

glad i found this video! interesting and informative look at Johnny’s. I also heard that a lot of his power stemmed from mafia ties…

everyone knew about this shit even outside Japan. As a fan of these bands I can say that the fandom knew everything. But we don`t like to talk about it. In the fandom everybody knows but nobody says it out loud. Some fans from overseas were expecting the chapter about it to appear in the Avalanche (book written by Tegoshi Yuya), but i don`t think he would bring this up even though he probably knows a lot about it. I`m not surprised by the dark side of the industry, but how about parents? why do they send kids there generation after generation if it was kind of known that kids will be abused?

Maybe they just assume it's rumors since nothing was ever done about it

Giiiiirl. I loved to talk about it. That was half the fun 😢 even now while there’s some official Johnny’s channels popping up, I miss how messy fandom was in the 00’s. Maybe it’s the kpop influence? Where are my messy pictures and Friday outings, translated 2ch threads.

Yeesh. What a depressing breakdown. Truly sad that media/ the entertainment industry in general seems to be nothing but a wretched hive of scum and villainy.

When I watched that BBC video. I'm really said when I see people ignored it. I love Japanese culture. However, I sincerely hope that Japanese people have more courage to talk the true thought in their mind, not only on SNS but also in a public interview, especially when they hear something bad, or at least maybe kind of incorrect in their mind. I'm a Taiwanese. We share the similar culture. Thank to 古手川唯 (one of the best anime girl), I know that we share exactly the same meaning of the word "廉恥", and even similar pronunciation on this word. I would say similar phenomena happens in those place that affected by ancient 中国 culture. However, I think more and more Taiwanese people (especially young people) are willing discussing about what we thought is incorrect.

Please don't call this a "homo" or a "gay" story as it is already bad enough that in Japanese society, we don't make the difference between someone who is gay, someone who is a pedophile and someone who is a sexual predator. The important part of the story is that this man was gay yes, but we need to focus on the crimes he committed. Just like Dahmer's story is about a criminal and does not represent the queer community, neither does this despicable, manipulative nonce. He was literally a child rapist, children he hand-picked and groomed, and the power he had protected him from facing the consequences of his actions starting in the 80's (!!!), which enabled him to increase the severity and frequency of his crimes. I cannot believe any of the things he did, inject boys with female hormones so they don't become men??!?! Like how twisted and fucked up was this man?
@docaz9453

He only targeted male idols he was gay pedophilia so dont try to twist it

This is a horrible and disgusting story. And yes when anybody sexually abusies a minor, it is rape, and can mentally effect them their whole life. Only sick perverted people would do that. They should be punished and imprisoned for life. Psychiatrist say it is a mental sickness that can’t be cured. Evidently greed means more to people than the children. So sad beyond words.

I met a Japanese man I have known for about three months and he and I talk every day. He used to text me every day until I fell in love with him, but he already had a girlfriend. And he always honors me. He was a gentle man. What is he thinking? What should I do? I like him very much
