“I have been so scared to give it my all and actually fail at it, that I had never gave it a chance in the first place” I have never been so heard on my life, thank you so much for sharing this with us. It is truly comforting to be understood and hear what I have been going through voiced out like that, because I never was able to pinpoint what exactly I am going through. I am 24 but I am struggling so much with perfectionism at my work and my life, it’s confusing. I have always been good and perfect and had the perfect solution for everything when I was student, but now I’m working and things are really hard to navigate without a clear plan and thought process with a perfectionist mindset. Thank you it is really a relief to know that I am normal. And I wish that I will be able to overcome this and live my life peacefully.
This is a great video! I'd like to add something for you though. The shift from wanting perfection to wanting progress is a healthy one, I think, but it can still be a sign that you're making your sense of self worth conditional. I'm not sure how to put this into words. You are worthy just the way you are, also if you don't make progress. Even if you just barely survive. You're worthy of love, from others and more importantly from yourself, whether you become faster at running or not, whether you make steps towards a promotion or not, whether your art improves over time or not. You get to make art just for the fun of it, and you get to run just because it makes you feel good to run. And it's okay if you are slower tomorrow than you are today, you're still worthy of just as much love. I'm sorry for being preachy 😅 Love the video, I'm looking forward to seeing more
Yes, 100%, I agree! This is a beautiful video which I watched after the woman cave video, really enjoyable to watch with great pacing and storytelling without being cheesy! And I want to say we all as humans can just be. Just be! Nothing. Not any thing or any one.. you don’t have to learn and grow every day. You don’t even have to journal every day! It’s absolutely okay to do all of these things and it’s also okay to not do any or all of these things you’ve set yourself. Give yourself permission to do what feels right in each moment or each day. Put trust in your body and mind to take a break or rest if your intuition says you need to. And a big one that I’m personally working on: practice being kind to yourself. I love and recommend the 5 track Spoken word guided meditation by Elena Brower featured on Above & Beyond’s Flow State album.
i’m so grateful this landed on my home page. truly brought comfort but also inspiration in trusting the process. also, i loved watching the camera movement and transitions you filmed between outfits; it was a nice touch!
Damn this hits harder than i thought. Thankyou for sharing your journey and making videos. Wonderful narrative and cinematography, feels comforting like a warm hug from big sis :)
I felt so seen in this video! Dweck's book was revelationary when I read it. Please continue to create the way you do. Let's try to never stop simply creating ❤
I felt like you were reading my diary, every word was like everything I wanted say but was so scared and felt like I was the only one. Thank you for letting me feel normal today.
Wow!! GRACIAS!
The look of the video is insane: really cinematic and enjoyable. It makes me kinda think of Life Of Riza on youtube which i adore. I found the content and message super interesting and reliable even though i am not even yet in my twenties. Go on with filming and creating it is inspiring and you seem to flourish !
this whole video hits home, bawled my eyes out at the end 🥹 top-tier content quality, you deserve a lot more subscribers! the world needs more of your art, perfect or not. thank you for the free therapy 🫶🏼
Thank you, I resonate with this a lot. If it's not easy and perfect right away, you wonder if it's not the right thing for you. But a better question to ask is if you enjoy pursuing it! I hope you don't get caught up in trying to make your videos 100% perfect too! (I know it's very easy to be a perfectionist about video editing, etc.) Thanks for sharing your experience with us.
This video also hits me , iam turning thirty next month and you magically said what i never thought i would be capable of even telling it out wooow saved it to whenever i feel lost again , thanks ❤
I love how you shot and narrated this! Question: do you think that you judge yourself (and your performance) fairly? Or perhaps are you overly critical of yourself? Have you ever heard of the Japanese concept of Kintsugi? I would love to see you make something on this and how it related to you. Isn't it crazy? All these existential questions start popping up in our 30s. I think it's a huge part of our growth and it makes me wonder what we'll be like in our 40s 😆 Anyways, I just created something on this topic and would love to know what you think of it, too. Could be nice to create alongside someone and start some interesting conversations around our 30s.
I resonated so much with jumping from hobby to hobby / being afraid to commit and potentially fail. 🥲 Loved this video, it’s so beautifully shot and scripted! And love that you share about God + faith 🥹
Happy early birthday kiju!!🥳 Welcome to the 30’s, and thank you for this amazing video. I almost cried watching this because I can relate in so many ways🥹❤️ 항상 열심히 사는 우리 기주, 꽃길만걷자🌼
Happy 30th birthday, Kiju! I love the nuanced presentation of what it's like to be in your late 20's and what it actually looks like to be a high-achiever sometimes. New sub
How the heck do u suppose to find time to work 9-5 job, read, draw, workout, run, work on DIY project, keeping faith and find time for family? i would get burn out so quick. nice videography btw.
Great video, love the approach! Thanks for sharing your knowledge! I'm offering free chill & lo-fi beats for video & content creators on my channel. Might be interesting for you as well!
