I just did the same. what we should of done is started off with kettlebells and calisthenics to build foundational strength and then powerlifting / body build but we did vice versa b/c society brain washed us. It’s crazy how far body weight and one heavy Kettlebell can go even for intermediate athletes
Kettlebells are great for strengthening core. I never knew something as simple as walking in a straight line with a kettlebell while maintaining correct posture could work my core so much. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
@@aintfromrounhere8099 Depends on the exercise. There are many variations of this particular exercise. The Squat University channel has a ton of great examples for core, no shade to present company. ✨👌🏾
Kettlebell? Naked in garden? Ummm...I think we all can guess why you'll be in court. Now, where's that melon baller? I need to scoop that image out of my brain!
Kettlebells are the most functional way to lift weights to get strong, efficient and to gain muscle. Regular weights in my opinion, is kinda outdated, even tho some movement are needed for athletes. I'm talking here for functionality. If your goal is getting bigger then go for the regular weights.
I only have kettlebells at home and I couldn’t be more sick of over working for mediocre progress when if I could afford better equipment id almost never need a kettlebell
The problem is, for many who try them, they never learn proper form and get deterred. Else they continue with bad form and teach others with bad form. Just look at all the gawd awful "kettlebell" experts, such as Caroline girvan. EWWWW! Where is that poker? I need to jab my eyes out!
They 100% make you stronger!!! Wth do you mean??? I have personally discovered the strength and endurance benefits from doing 30 min kb routines 4x a week. My glutes feel like steel from swings!!
I plan to start using KBs from next week - ordered them online - 35 pounds each - I have had a bit of wrist history - are KBs going to take a bigger toll on the wrists? Do they really make the workout safer or decrease the stress on the back?
KBs won't affect your wrists, unless you have an existing problem with them. Better check with your doctor if you're worried. The only time they're affected is when you bang them while doing cleans and snatches with improper form/technique.
Again, if you use proper form/technique, your back shouldn't be affected. You will get sore the first few times you do the exercises, but your back will get stronger and you won't feel anything. Also, ALWAYS start with light weights.
@@morrisboris6877 I have a bit of history with my wrists - for starters, they have always been weak, small-sized like the wrists of a 7-year-old and secondly, I have been into transcription and copywriting, so I developed a pattern where my wrists and fingers tend to start hurting after a few hectic days at the work desk. The KB training seems train them further. But now, I have a system of using wrist bands and sleeves and my overall form has gotten way, way better.
That means you're not using them correctly. Kettlebells are great for building strength and mass quickly. But only if you have proper technique. e.g. squat and lift or squat and row is NOT a kettlebell swing
Ahem! The word "sweat" should have told you right away what those bands are for. Else, you could have easily used one if those things used by girls. Forget what they're called.
Of course, hes selling kettlebells for 2-3 times the price.im talking an 80lb kettlebell listed on his website, On sale, for 375$..weights go for 1-2$ a lb MAX. SCAMMERS LIKE THIS IS WHATS WRONG WITH FITNESS, stop praying on begginers amd novices who just need to up their intensity, fix their technique, amd be more consistent. Looking for some super all encompassing fix for their lack of discipline/knowledge and folks like this selling them a dream have them thinking itll fix their fitness troubles
I only use kettlebells and a hangboard and my hands, wrists, fingers forearms back and core have been in the best shape of my life. Fuck planet fitness, get some kettle bells
@@goodboi4939 if you can get a lighter weight one too, uneven suitcase carries and chaotic suitcase carries are like making your core into a brick wall
I was training with dumbbells for months and still felt like a lot of muscles were asleep. With just one session involving kettlebell swings my life changed. Lol i felt it in my arms, my Glutes, my hamstrings, my core, and my legs. . I also noticed my back muscles were working as opposed to just feeling pain in my lower back. Kettlebells are amazing
@@morrisboris6877thats interesting you say that because im recently learning that its important to be able to lift your own body weight and i want my body to function as well as look nice. What if my life depends on it. 😂 So i decided to make pushups and pullups a big part of my training. Thanks for the advice. I def will add more calisthenics overall
Were you doing swings before (many kettlebell exercises can be done with dumbbells too)? Maybe the new movement pattern was the gamechanger, not necessarily the kettlebell itself.
Omg KB Training was something I felt like I had been missing out on in my 40yrs of life lol. I trained with KB only during covid and the following year and I shed a shit load of fat and gained a new functional strength and became more flexible… as part of my experiment lol I have since stopped tracing period and boy let me tell you my gut and lack of mobility is testament that in my experience KB training was way more beneficial than any weight training fad regiment out here on the web or provided by some over trenned/test trainer at the gym. Restarted my KB training yesterday, Let’s Fucking Go!!
@@geeweezy90 KB just like all other strength training builds muscle. The more muscle you have the more energy your body requires to sustain itself this your caloric needs increases with more weight training, so if you eat the same stuff but build muscle you will indeed lose weight. I'm dealing with that problem right now
All these things would be true, if someone didn’t know what they were doing with kettlebells and a lot of people don’t! Personally, I love kettlebells work!
There are lots of good instructions on RU-vid on proper kettlebell technique. You just have to weed out the "Barbies" and hacks who profess to be experts.
If you do them properly, with proper technique, your shoulders wouldn't be ruiness. Too many people watch the numerous quacks on RU-vid and do what they do, so they get ruined everything
Combining Barbell training with Kettlebell training and i must say...getting stronger with the KBs transferred A TON of strength over to my Barbell lifts and most days, i prefer the bells over the bar 😂 LOVE Kettlebell training!
Is it referred pain in your forearms? You can tell if it is by pressing hard and rubbing up and down your bicep. If the pain goes away, you have referred pain caused by tight biceps. You can do the same on the forearms if your biceps aren't the cause.
it's a good complimentary lift meaning if you get good with bells it can carry over and improve other barbell and dumbbell lifts. Try a single arm overhead press with 24 kg or above. The movement pattern is the most natural for the shoulder and definitely builds muscle.
There is this amazing thing called science, kettle bells are cool and a good workout, but the ability to properly load a bar just dwarfs the kettle bell for anybody who can lift more than 90lbs
AHEM! You cannot compare barbells to kettlebells. They are completely different, as kettlebells have a lower center of gravity and are harder to control than a bar with loaded weights.
This sounds like a total salesmen tactic. Kettlebells are fine, they can work, i mean its weight but theres nothing special about them and they're kind of just a fad. Its not "thinking a certain way" If your goal is muscle growth, kettlebells are just not the ideal modality. It is just a fact you can exert more force from a stable position like you would with a machine or barbell and if you exert for force theres just more stimulus to the muscle and you get more growth for the same amount of effort and energy.
The secret to kettle bell training is to avoid the nonsense...Use your precious time in your life banging out "Around the world" calisthenics routine every other day and progressing on the following compound movements...slight incline bench press...with either parallel bar dips or incline close grip bench press...military press...squat...alternating with leg press each lower body workout...rdls...a supported row...and either deadlift or to really overload the back rack pulls...accessory work consisting of calve raises alternating between standing and seated...the biceps will get enough stimulation for growth if you are not happy with your bicep growth then add a bicep curl that works the biceps efficiently...triceps get plenty of stimulation for strength and growth growth from the bench presses...dips...military presses...for a complete program for natural lifters feel free to dm...Big up to Jeff Bridges for his kettle balls...Nice 1.
They're the easiest thing to use. They're also the most brutal, Punishing, And versatile piece of equipment ever devised. There are no secrets to them. All my lifts have gone up since I included them years ago.
Nothing magic about any piece of equipment. Nothing wrong with kettlebells, unless you turn it into some weird fitness religion and ignore other viable options.
@@morrisboris6877 It matters because he doesn't need it. I'm sure nobody has ever told him that. Hair is overrated on men (by men). If he knew that he might shave it and be better off practically and be better looking. Life is easier without that mess. 🤷♀️ I obviously think I need makeup to look nicer, as well. But you're right! I'm a babe without it. I shall never wear makeup again. Women should never wear makeup (neither should your mama or your girlfriends) ... I'm throwing it all away now. Thank you for waking me up to my inner and outer beauty! Have a blessed and joyful day! 🤗💞💃
