FABULOUS topic. I am age 71, I have autoimmune conditions and MUST eat homemade organic, GMO foods so this topic is very pertinent for my family. My husband (age 76 with reversed cognitive decline) and I spend $1,000 month on our groceries and this is a MUST for us! We practice Functional Medicine too which is ALL out-of-pocket costs. Between food and Functional Medicine so it's it's pretty hard (i.e. impossible) to stay on budget. We pay for Medicare AND BCBS every month and barely use it. BUT we have to have it for an emergency auto accident or surgery. We pay for this these ways; 1) My retired husband took a part-time job (4 days a week), 2) we never eat meals out, 3) we take no vacations, 4) we drive ONE older (2013 Subaru) model vehicle that we scrupulously maintain and 50 we no longer buy birthday or Christmas gifts. It is a conscious lifestyle choice for us. We want to see more programs like this one!!!

When we first started getting out of debt, we definitely spent more than the 10-15% on food. For one we had a very small amount of money to work with and the other reason was because we spent 0% on medications. We figured buying organic now would be saving us money later. We also have a very small health insurance premium because we use cash based naturopaths for any health needs. Our debt free date is this November! 🙌🏻 Thank you for finally addressing this topic 😌

A little bit surprised no one mentioned a plant-based diet. Not only do vegans and vegetarians live longer than meat-eaters, but they don’t spend as much at the grocery store. I noticed that someone else mentioned Forks Over Knives here in the comments- I completely agree. This diet works wonders for conditions such as heart disease and diabetes, as well as others.

I figured out I was allergic to aluminum back in my teens (rash) but it wasn’t the deodorant as much as the antiperspirant. It was hard to find female deodorant minus the antiperspirant & so I had to get more gender neutral or mens brand deodorant. Now the world has caught onto the aluminum part is bad. Thankfully Mother Nature was on my side back then

I make no wheat muffins and breads for quick grab snacks, and add fresh fruit or applesauce along with, these are out go-tos. Also salted nuts, find your kids favorite and let them have that for "special" snacks or outings. And look at Pinterest for peanut butter oatmeal balls, always a hit and can be frozen for at least a month. The best recipes for no wheat plus protein muffins I use are Tone It Up mini muffin recipes, just Google it. Also that Tone it Up brand protein powder is expensive but my kids LOVE the muffins made with that powder more than any other I've ever tried. Oh and we make chia puddings with coconut milk and vanilla then the child can add fruit or homemade granola if they want. Blessings!

we give our daughter green smoothies. put some spinach and kale with frozen berries, frozen banana, peanut butter, almond milk. The kid will never know there are greens in it if you load it up with primarily berries.

@jakeandsarahhealthnuts3299

people have been successful on natural healing. its not a common route to take because a Dr does not recommend it because the medical system would be broke. chemo just destroys your body.
@comment_account2343
@comment_account2343 3 года назад
@@jakeandsarahhealthnuts3299With any cancer, there is a chance of spontaneous remission. Sometimes, the immune system figures it out on its own and starts attacking the cancer. People interpret this as a result of whatever they were doing at the time. A healthy diet can never hurt anyway. Not sure I would bet on it because what happens if you are not part of the lucky few. Good diet is a good addition to chemo and can lower the needed doses and increase efficiency, which is really the best one can hope for.

The chemo + the cancer was killing her. The hospital told her she had a few months to live and there was nothing more they could do except hospice. Then radical family stepped in and found a treatment center that has a strict health and nutrition program that excludes chemo for people like her. She got off chemo, all meds except one, and turned from deathbed to life. It’s real. You don’t have to believe, but it’s real. Everyone just choose what they wanna do. To each his or her own.
