The Seiko Marine Master 300 (SLA023) - Why It's Different From Other Seiko Divers 

I have the SLA059 and love it on the rubber strap. Wears much smaller than the specs. Looking forward to acquiring more MM300s.

I don't understand why they removed the marinemaster text. Still prefer the older model

I have the SLA021J1 as well as the the SLA023. I have yet to wear the sla023. I kept the original bracelet for the quick adjust system. It is a great watch and the sla021 is my most worn watch in a collection of 30+. Great review and I recommend this watch to any watch enthusiast.

Really enjoyed the talking head style into and the comparison to the Tudor GMT, puts it into perspective. Overall great specs and improvements from other Seikos, but you're right at the MSRP.

Sla023 is my favourite Seiko diver as well. I keep mine often on the wrist.

This one Seiko I’ve yet to own but I hope I do one day . This for me is my grail of grail watches . I love the look of the Hexad bracelet on your Marine Master and think I’d go with that combo as well or maybe a Strapcode angus jubilee bracelet. Big fan of the MM300. Especially on the "hex-head style" bracelet. Honestly, I don't dislike the stock MM300 bracelet, but I just feel that, due to the issues that you stated w/ the thickness, and articulation, I find it to be rather inadequate. I find this to also be the case w/ the Samurai, as well. Not to mention, the fantastic light play, that the hex-head bracelet provides. Worth the upgrade in both cases, if you ask me. Great review

Hola amigo, me encantó la revisión que le hiciste al reloj, yo tengo el mismo reloj hace casi dos años y la verdad es que es un reloj impresionante, el reloj corre a +5 segundos con la esfera hacia arriba y +1 segundo con la corona hacia arriba, mucho mejor que algunos suizos de mi colección, mi meta a mediano plazo es tener un Grand Seiko Hi-Beat,.me encanta la marca Seiko, tengo el marinemaster, el sarb033, el pogue, y el sarb017. Estube evaluando bastante tiempo si comprarme el Seiko MarineMaster o el Tudor black bay Usado, al final me compré el marinemaster, me enamoró su caja monobloque realmente es única y también su calibre que es de una manufactura increíble, este reloj no tiene nada que envidiar a un reloj suizo de $5000, estoy muy contento con el reloj, Seiko no alardea con su precisión pero en este reloj es mucho mejor que un cosc, lo tengo ya casi dos años y es muy muy estable es su funcionamiento, un saludo amigo desde Chile, recién descubrí tu canal y es de mucha calidad, ojalá sigas teniendo más suscriptores.

hi Sir. The Tudor GMT is 41mm not 42mm. Great review! I love comparison to the Tudor to show the actual size of this MM Seiko.

The MM is a great watch, I almost got one but instead I went with Citizen. Great QC every thing is spot on…they have so so many great watches at reasonable prices. I’m a Seiko guy at heart but seriously Citizen has so much variety and most real divers use their watches, so why not.

I like the one I have,just the clasp underneath as quit large,put on the rubber strap for time being,no doubt put on a zulu nato,much more secure.

I got one at last . My AD failed to notify me that he had one . I found in in the hands of a customer that didnt buy it . I noticed the case profile and felt excitement and disappointment at the same time . Excitement that I might at last get one , disappointment that that customer might like it and buy it ,plus the fact that the AD forgot to notify me when he received it .

Which Strapcode Hexad band is that ? I found a few of them online. Is that 316L stainless ?

The added lumed marker by the date is required by the new standard to qualify as a driver's watch.

Question: when you manually wind this watch, is it quite noisy? Mine is, and that was rather surprising to me. I assumed it'd be more like an Omega Seamaster or that Tudor you showed (rather quiet and smooth in winding).

Is the colour of the strapcode and the watch any different? I found with the diashield watch colour comes a bit darker.

So yesterday I bought the Green dial Limited edition 140th anniversary MM300. I noticed that some have the brushed silver window around the date and mine doesn’t. Why is that? Also, how many watches did Seiko make for the 140th anniversary LE? I have # 000750. 🤔🧐

It's so frustrating that seiko and Grand seiko make some amazing divers but virtually none of them are sized to suit wrists under 7 inches 😢

The only thing I don’t like is you spend $3000 on watch and they use pins and collars.

It's a sacrilege to replace the OG bracelet by a Strapcode. Strapcode is out of place on a watch of this quality. The edges are sharp, the clasp is mediocre and the color does not match Seiko's Diashield. It's cool on a SKX or a Turtle but the MM300 deserve the real thing.
