Wow. Most of the dignitaries walking into that church are dead now, and the bride before almost all of them. She was driven to her death, literally, five years before the Queen mum passed away at the age of 101. Diana should have been allowed to live that long, and been able to bounce all of her grandchildren, and eventually her great greats, on her knee. It infuriates me that both a drinking driver, and bottom feeding, celebrity stalking, paparazzi like the ones in Paris that night, ended so much, for so many. It's those young boys though, I cried so much for them. I'm just 3 months younger than Diana, she should be turning 62 on the same day that my country turns 155, July 1st. Her children and grandchildren can't celebrate her birthday with her each year, instead they were, and still are, left with the anniversary of the day that mummy died.

It may be somewhat morbid but I feel like you should show them Princess Diana's funeral; they would be so shocked to learn that she passed away so tragically at such a young age, and it has had such an impact on British history and culture. Perhaps you could teach about her accomplishment such as her work towards fighting AIDS stigma etc.

The older people you saw were the Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Phillip, and the Queen Mother, Elizabeth I. The men in uniform were Prince Charles, the bridegroom and Prince Andrew. The wedding was in a famous church in London, England. The bride was eventually called the Princess of the People.

These men are smart. They know exactly what is going on in this video. I love how the little guy bursts into song and taps out a catchy drumbeat as accompaniment. The tall man's eyes are hypnotic. If I were to meet him, his eyes alone would compel me to do anything he asked. He is powerful!!

The long cape part of the wedding dress is called the "train". The two flower girls are there to help her carry it and give out flower petals or flowers. There are usually rehearsals for the whole "wedding party", so they know who needs to stand where and what to do next.

For all the pomp this was an unhappy marriage. It did produce children before it ended in divorce and they have grown up and married with children of their own. The bride was unfortunate in that she died in an auto crash in Paris while her sons were still young. RIP gentle lady.

At the start you told them “there was an English princess called Diana and you will see her wedding”. That’s incorrect. There was an English Prince called Charles and this was his wedding to a lady who then became a Princess by virtue of marrying a Prince. Charles is now King Charles III.

Someone tell Babu that even though he is poor and a "little people" he probably has a much happier marriage than sadly Charles and Diana did. Both of them had doubts beforehand but didn't call it off because it was on such a world stage. This also took place on July 29, 1981. If they want to see a more modern royal wedding, you should show them William and Catherine's. More modern and by all accounts, a much happier and loving marriage. Money doesn't buy happiness and a good marriage. Love and compatibility make a good marriage.

This actually teared me up. Princess Diana was a legend. Unfortunately, Prince (at the time) Charles was a cold, uncaring man toward her who was in love with someone else, and Diana was a very young, naive woman in infatuated love. Prince Charles was jealous of the attention she got from people the world over and all she wanted was attention from him. This of course is only my humble opinion garnered from interviews, books, those who knew her and media as only Prince Charles and Princess Diana knew their truth and what transpired behind closed doors, we can only speculate. She had a whole life ahead of her that was taken way too soon and I can only imagine what she might have accomplished had she had the opportunity to grow old. I miss her spark, her beautiful smile, her sweet voice, her kind soul and zest for life. May she rest in peace in the loving arms of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

*Amman, Badshah and Babu..many of the invited guests are either royalty, family, many Hollywood celebrities, people of high station, etc. The 'commoners' were lining the streets they would travel down, for many hours, just to wish the new couple well. Diana was from a high class family, and Prince Charles...now King Charles...was the royalty. Diana was royalty by marriage. However, she is not Queen with him now. They divorced after having 2 boys, because Charles was in love with someone else his entire life. He was not allowed to marry that woman because she was not found 'suitable' by the monarchy. After the divorce, this woman..Camille...married Prince Charles and now that he is King, she is Queen Consort and Diana is gone. She died in a car crash in France, not long after the divorce. VERY tragic, to me. This is why people are so divided about the whole affair. But the wedding was supposed to be the start of a fairy tale for Diana, before she found out right before the wedding that he was still communicating every day with Camille, exchanging gifts, love words, etc.! The wedding couldn't be called off by then, because it would embarrass the monarchy, so they sort of forced her to marry him even though she'd found out about who Charles really loved. He only married Diana because he had to be married and she was the best to change the image of him as a playboy. That's the truth. EVERYONE loved Diana...across the world...everyone except the man who married her. He never loved her.*

Knowing how unhappy Princess Diana would be in this marriage, watching this wedding makes me very sad. It also makes me angry because at the time he was marrying Diana, he knew he did not love her and that he would rather be marrying Camilla. That's why I don't think I will EVER be able to refer to Camilla as "Queen" because it is only because of what happened to Diana that she has gained that spot. I also am not real fond of Charles because he married Diana knowing he did not love her. If he had loved her when they got married but then for some reason fallen out of love with her, that would be more understandable but I cannot have any respect for him for marrying one woman while loving another. I know that his mom and dad were pressuring him to marry a woman who was innocent but he was a grown man. He was old enough to say, "Sorry, but I will be marrying who I want to marry." I know his mom was the Queen of England but as far as I am aware, the reigning monarch had long since lost the authority to say "off with his head" at the time when Charles got married and the Tower of London had not been in use for a few centuries. He should have stood his ground! The same weakness he exhibited back then is still on display today by the way he allows his youngest son to attend his coronation when Harry has shown many times over that he is nothing less than a traitor! I hope Harry is booed mercilessly when he shows up on the big day!

When asked if he would ever want to return to England to stake his claim to the throne that is his rightful heritage he declined he said he would never want to live like that. he loves what he does and until he was contacted by a researcher, he had very little knowledge of his history, and his children did not know they were really full blooded British Princesses. Diana was indeed "The people's princess" she was so much loved.
