The Simplest & Most Profitable Detailing Business Strategy | $1,000 Per Week. Here I break down step by step exactly how I made $66 per hour detailing this black truck IN THE SUN, and how this strategy is actually NOT complicated! The simplest & most profitable detailing strategy is one that anyone can do with a little focused attention in certain areas. Auto detailing businesses often rob themselves of profits that they simply don't have to, and in this video I take a deep dive into avoiding that exactly!

The stock market is surely a lucrative way to invest, whether you want high growth, leverage, stable income, or something in between. It’s possible to make a consistent $1,000 every month from the stock market.

Great video, i would like to address one thing though, having been in business for over 16 years, if wanting to build a company the 1000 per week cannot be looked at as a whole 1000 per week factoring in expenses as well as fed and/or state taxes, and most importantly insurance. Cash side hustle, great .

Can you do a comparison video between a car that has used your service, vs them using a car wash? I feel like detailers in my area struggle because there are multiple car washes in our area that offer monthly wash services, most are around $30-40 a month for unlimited washes, and that includes things like bug spray, clear coat, siminoz hot wax, and more. I feel like to a normal human perception, that those car washes suffice enough to be clean. Of course as a detailer you will notice a difference, but I feel as though the average person, or client that is visiting an office would not be able to tell the difference between a car that has used a good car wash vs a detail service. Maybe I am wrong, but I would like to be able to see a comparison video of that. The only advantage detailers have in my area is that they can offer interior cleaning I feel like.

Those non touchless car washes beat the hell out of your car. They pick up dirt, mud, debris on the previous cars and then slap it all over yours. One of my friends takes their car through one and already has marks over her plastic areas. The touchless car washes are better for preventing marks on the car but they’re not really doing any cleaning worth paying for. If you truly care about your car have a professional do it or figure out how to do it yourself and save money.

Materials don't cost much especially when diluted like it should be. 5 gallon wheel de greaser ($80), soap ($70) lasts me 4+ months, all purpose ($25) 6 months, tire shine ($120) 1 year. 1 gallon jug of compound ($30) and polish ($30) lasts about 6 months-8 months. glass cleaner about 1 can every 2 weeks @ $7 a month. microfiber spending $5 weekly. At least 4 cars a day. as for brushes.. well they last a long time which also don't cost much. The profit margin is LARGE especially if you do ceramic coating.
@redfish3054
@redfish3054 4 года назад
But you have to deduct for tools and products cleaners towels etc. and do you have to a license and insurance???
@tirkentube
@tirkentube 4 года назад
all of those products are tax-deductible. think of it like this. you get a $1000 paycheck from your employer at a job, taxes are taken out first thing, roughly 15% for federal (FICU, SSI, Medicaire), and in some states about 15% more for state tax.. after paying for benefits (401k and health insurance) you're down 30-35% easy on your check probably closer to 40% at that income level, so you're left with $600. He is making $1000 business income, and will also owe somewhere around 10-30% in taxes. Chances are, his taxes are lower as a self-proprietorship, but assuming they're the same as your paycheck's taxes, he can now deduct any costs of those items from those taxes, so he's investing in the business by buying those items, and now pays less taxes, and so at the end of the day, he's essentially made more money than you by being able to keep more of the gross earnings.
@tirkentube
@tirkentube 4 года назад
So let's say he earns $1000, he can buy the equipment, it cost $200. He owes the 40% ($300) in taxes on the $1000 but can deduct business expenses from that, so he's left with $600 AND the cleaning products.

I have sold maintenance packages to people & they are all gung ho at the time but then when it comes time to schedule it they don’t want to do it anymore, so I do I need to focus on different clientele or do something that assures me they will reschedule or keep their appointment?Hopefully this makes sense. Currently I have to see a surgeon July 8th for my wrist so detailing using one arm for most all of it is a pain but I make due. I wish I could just sit down and "pick your brain". I just feel a little overwhelmed at times in just starting out. Thank you for your time and information in your videos brother!

Any suggestion for a wheel brush? I've tried 3 or 4 different brushes and the "hairs" always fall out. The backside of my wheels I sharp and apparently that plucks out the "hairs" of whatever wheel brush I am using. With one particular brush it was so bad that the wheels were covered with dozens of the "hairs." So I'm seeking a quality brush that won't break down!

That's 1.5 hour job? Clean, clay, dry, and wax takes me like 4hour for me to do my car.. How are you doing so fast?
@jsplay7415
@jsplay7415 4 года назад
You're trying to "perfect" your car. It's your car and you want it to look as nice and do things as correctly as possible. He minimizes what he has to do and sometimes he does two things at once. He also uses machines to help cut down his labor time. Idk if you do the same but even in high school I was able to wash, clay and wax my dad's truck in less than two hours (dodge 2500 extended cab). Make sure you aren't doing more work than necessary but 4 hours for one car seems like a lot doesn't it? If you go to a professional car wash it doesn't take them 4 hours to fully service your car and they do the interior (remember this job didn't include the interior)

You work pretty hard for only making a 1000 a week. By the time you pay self employment tax and insurance and of keep your quipment is that really worth it
@ghostwrench2292
@ghostwrench2292 4 года назад
He said $1000/week based off of 2 maintenance washes a day both taking up 3 hours of the day, so 15 hours working per week. Even factoring in travel time and set up/tear down time, maybe add 2 hours/day. He also said he works weekends. All that considered, he's easily over $1000/week just in maintenance washes. If he upsells paint correction work, that's probably at least $500 per job but it sounds like his niche is exterior maintenance washes though.

@wilsonautodetailing
@wilsonautodetailing 4 года назад
Yes I am talking about top line revenue (gross). That being said, generally speaking, the products I suggest, as well as the business model I teach people to build creates a very LOW expense side of the equation, so while you may detail for $50 hourly, the LARGE majority of that is net profit. This isn't like creating products, and purchasing inventory with a 30% profit margin
@maxbailey3087
@maxbailey3087 4 года назад
Wilson Auto Detailing totally get it man, just saying that it may not be as simple as you lead on in the video. For aspiring detailers even if they get clients at this rate they, especially at first, will not see the number of clients that you might project (based on personal experience alone) and so I just wanted to clarify for the sake of general information. All the best though man! Love the positivity and thanks for the reply
