Few comedy shows will ever do it as well as The Simpsons did from Season 2 thru 10. To have 9 full seasons of legendary comedy is very impressive. Idk how show has remained on air for last 25 years tho 😂

23:36 Al Jean said on the DVD commentary that this is one of their best episodes. Dustin Hoffman voiced Mr. Bergstrom but didn't want his name on the final credits. James Brooks wrote the note that was handed to Lisa as Mr. Bergstrom left paying homage to film The French Lieutenant's woman. There was also a tribute to The Graduate in the episode. This episode was produced by geniuses.

The best episodes ever were the very first several seasons, I just can't get into them the past twenty yrs or so. Something is just off(different)for me.🤷‍♂️

12:10 - 12:19 - is that Phil Hartman's voice saying "please hold onto the handrail, do not spit over the side"? I've just listened to it a couple of times but I still can't quite tell for sure. I know that Hartman provides the voice for Lionel Hutz who shows up in this episode after Bart regains consciousness, but I cannot remember it being stated anywhere who provides the escalater voice. 15:50 - 15:40 - It's so funny how Grampa says "we never danced the hoocheecoo either, what's your point?"
