This reminds me of a story. So when I was 4 we were at the mall and I saw this cool game called "The Sims 3 Pets" and I wanted it so i begged for it to my mom. Being the great mom she is, she bought it. So after the mall trip when we got home I ran to my basement and popped that baby into our PS3. Now what happened when I turned it in? Well here's a little back up information. We had gotten this had-me-down and I had never heard o f the sims before this. Okay now back to it. What happened was it opened straight into game. There was a family consisting of a married couple and a big pet dog. This seemed... weird but okay. So I happily began playing. Of course, this was my first time playing the game so I had no idea how to play it so I just clicked around but here's the thing. I had clicked the "Start time" button 3 times already and it still hadn't started. My mom frowned and we all tried make it work but it was just broken so the next day my mom just got rid of it and i didn't hear about the game again until 3 years later where I got really into it again but that's a whole other story. The point is that now I just realized that the game I got was... Corrupt! So thanks to whoever sold me a broken Sims 3 game. Don't you guys play test that stuff? I could of gotten into the game years earlier than I did and been hyped when Sims 4 came out! But either way, moral of the story. Don't give stores corrupt copies of the Sims 3 Pets or you will hurt me feelings and disapoint me.
was it corrupt or did you just not have base game installed you HAVE to have base game installed or theres no way you could play the sims 3 pets the one you probably bought was an expansion pack instead of base game unless it was a deal and came with base game on it so yeah if you never knew what the game was before then you wouldnt of know that the sims 3 base game was required to play
I had a problem like this but it was on Xbox (which I just think is a stupid console now)it was like yesterday but the game was not the problem it was the Xbox why you may be asking BECAUSE IT PUT SCRATCHES ing the disc when it was in the console why the hell just why
@@yzzy1966 I wouldn't say so. The Sims 3 is not corrupted, more like badly optimised, but not corrupted. The Sims 2 has this specific con it's corrupted since it's installed, it's just a matter of time the errors to show up. For example let's compare Strangetown, which is unplayable at some point. Olive Specter's graveyard is full of glitched ghost to the point it's dangerous to bring them back or even impossible to bring them back. Maybe Isla Paradiso(Not sure If I wrote it correctly) from TS3 may be quite questionable, but generally worlds do not cause glitched sims unless you do something unusual. Usually Nraas mods solve error problems, meanwhile TS2's errors are hard to diagnose and a lot of them are unfixable. I think there is a mod to TS2 that may a little bit help, but not to the point game will be able to protect itself from errors.
@@Ieatmychildren And those glitches from the sims 2 are so creepy, you can't even delete a family because it causes corruption, you can't do a lot of things in game because it causes corruption, and as I said corruption errors in TS2 are creepy af.
I need to say that the sims 3 isn't as bad as you think. I still play that game alot and if your game is corrupted you have a "laggy computer" or too much of expansion packs. I remember when it was 2013 and I played that in windows 7. It was painfull. Now I play it on my Windows 10 with only one pack and it's good.
One of the easiest ways to corrupt the sims 2 is to create a family and then have them interact at least once, after you do that move one of those sims out (use a computer and click find own place) and once that sim is no longer on your roster go to the neighborhood view and than go to the family bin, once you see that sim put them in the garbage bin, now your game will become corrupted because the characters file that you put in the trash wasn’t actually deleted, and will basically be like a virus spreading its file all through your save folder, it was a flaw that was never fixed in the game probably because they didn’t assume people would be able to delete a sim without using mods
