The Sims 4: Bugs Galore 

reading the title I seriously thought Bugs Galore was a new pack

The amount of bugs and having modders fix it is the exact reasons i crack all the dlcs, no use giving money to a company that would throw there problems on someone fixing it for them

I love having a game I can no longer play due to incompetence and laziness.

After crystal creations came out my sims keep doing the weeding plants animation in random places, and the game slows down tremendously whenever my sims cook something

I wouldn’t be surprised if they (EA) are breaking the game themselves to sell more Rene games. Funny it seems TS3 got worse the closer Sims 4 got to release 😅

Ngl the bugs is the reason why I could never justify getting truly into the game. Buying a $60 game pack that could mess up my game? Plus I play on console (a PS5) and every patch they release changes the controls and there is NO WAY OF CHANGING CONTROLS (?) Like hello??? 😭

Reasons I've been clinging to sims 2 and 3 so hard still. I'm waiting with baited breath for Life by You and Paralives. Life By You seems like it will give me sims 2 and 3 nostalgia but in an updated way.

The bug that still bugs me is when you want to add someone to the household or split it. When you press the tick to confirm, nothing happens and youre stuck on that screen. After all this time its still broke for me

Over the last 3 years, every pack introduced more bugs than feature, and, the bug to feature ratio is increasing.

My sims keep getting stuck on tables and it doesn’t even get fixed after reloading the game. You have to input a cheat to teleport them somewhere else. And I also have been having an infinite weeding loop for months now. Sims will weed and weed and weed. They never stop. And the weeds don’t even go away!

I remember that growing together patch "bug" ( I think they modified the base mesh for sim heads) that messed up everyone's sims. It was horrible, all my precious babbys looking like they went through the sims 2 plastic surge machine with low aspiration.

The modders are literally better game developers than EA themselves, they should be getting paid for this stuff.

I haven't really gone back to Sims 4 since Eco Lifestyle made the game unplayable for me by stacking all those annoying neighbourhood action plans and not letting me disable them, so Sims were just in a nonstop rotation of stopping whatever they were doing to do press ups, play the violin and bake cakes while the neighbours looted all the items in their houses. Also the whole Sims Gurus culture makes me itch, I think Cottage Living was the last straw for that.

I knew sims 4 was infamous for being bad, but i didnt realise the problem was this bad.

I used to buy every sims pack during the prerelease and looked forward to every new expansion coming out but like $700 into the franchise I realized that I wasn’t enjoying it as much as I did in the past. I have been playing the sims since 1999. When I got the sims 1 for Christmas and my older brother helped me install it on the family computer I was so excited. I played for hours, when the sims 2 came out and I was a bit older I was even more excited, even after the sims 3 came out for maybe a year I kept playing the sims 2 intermittently. I’m a die hard sims 3 fan though, that world is so expansive, even now, I play it all the time, 10 years into the next franchise. The sims 4 has come to this point where idk if it’s a bug or a feature. I wait months if not years to purchase new pack or expansions and this is after simmers I trust have assured me that most of the big bugs have been worked out. Even still my mods and CC folder is so large my game takes 20 mins to load. It’s not fun without that extra content though. Sure there were bugs in the past, pangu’s axe, for instance, but nothing this bad that the game is completely unplayable. Each new pack or expansion I just cross my fingers and hope my game won’t be completely effed up. It wouldn’t shock me if someone told me these games weren’t play tested at all. I blame the fact that’s it’s built on a broken system and now it’s just like applying lipstick to a pig. It’s still a pig! At this point it’s best to light a match an start over. I think it’s a testament to the franchise that they still have loyal players. Even after the incest bug, the sleep paralysis demon infant bug, and the my first pet stuff pack as a whole, people are still willing to play this game.

I think that even if they took a break from releasing new content for like a year the game still would be broken; the sims games are very feature heavy games which is a good and a bad thing. The only problem is that in recent years they put these packs with completely game breaking bugs, like this save corruption, your sims messed up genetics and we need to wait for months to finally come back to our main save with less fear that we will lose our progress. For me the most disgusting thing is the anniversery "events". Like the most lazy "just play the game" checklist and the merch store restock, with assets from the newest broken pack. I really could understand the fixes for For Ren pack takes longer than expected, but this merch store is ughhh. Well, I really want the sims 4 era to end to finally play the game, with mods (with no need to update them every month). I think the sims 4 has a lot of potential, with mods.

It amazes me how bad TS4 is after like a decade. They’ve done literally nothing to fix it in ten years, and have instead just kept piling more and more bugs on top. It’s bizarre. I know it’s EA but even for them, TS4 is impressively broken.

On the sims 2 expansion packs felt like it truly expanded the game so much. In the sims 4 I'm just trying to avoid buying packs. I don't like to have more bugs and glitches, because I already have seen some issues in my game. 😂😅

UGH thank you!!! i have complained about this to disinterested friends for AGES and they literally don’t believe me, because “surely it can’t be that bad.” BUT IT IS!!! it’s shocking. i don’t play the game with any mods, and it’s honestly nearly unplayable. i’ve personally kind of given up on it, they clearly don’t care about the game, they just want to keep pumping out “stuff” packs to grab 5 bucks off the occasional newcomer who doesn’t know any better. it breaks my heart cause i doubt if we’ll ever get another truly good Sims game.

Its unplayable. The Sims "team" is incompetent and unqualified. I have spent well over 1,000 Canadian dollars for this POS joke and now I want my money back. You have a new sub because you say the truth. This game is now a garbage cash grab that barely works. Don't buy it - not even for free.

My packs have to be "restarted"? No idea what this means. It just loads as base game.

EA makes the same exact football game every year with a roster update and sell it for 70 dollars. It’s kind of a far cry to expect them to do anything that isn’t tied to them getting paid. You’re more likely to have to buy an expansion to fix the bugs vs them just fixing them for free.

I have had a persistent bug in my Sims 4 game since 2019 that makes the game run at a constant 10fps with no fix except restarting the game, for obvious reasons this is game breaking. All the Childhood Christmas Money I spent on DLC's 2014 and onwards has gone to waste. Forums discuss this bug very often due to its severity and yet the Team at EA has yet to even address it to my knowledge. I feel sorry for those still passionate about the game in the development team but are forced to rush things due to poor management and EA breathing down their necks for profit. Very excited for Paralives and other indie projects to give this game competition.

Oh it bugs me so much when I most of the time make my sims dislike mischief but as soon as they move in they go troll teh forums... If they don't have a career that needs a computer, I either don't get one, or keep it locked. And PETS.............................. PETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And KIDS. Seeing babies starve because parents just keep placing them in high chairs and putting them down. And then the babies almost die from exhaustion because they do the same with beds. Actually smoothest way to keep kids is have them sleep on the floor, and feed them raw plants you just throw on the floor. :D

How EA screw up the Marriage event? Every time i play The Sims 3 and marry to another Sim everyone stop what they are doing to see the couple...Even the party dancer from the bachelor part was there...

EA is just depending on modders at this point. Which is infuriating. Modders used to make the game more silly or whatever else. They are now working for free, so others can enjoy a game.

How about the bug where the base game and all of its expansions disappear from your EA library? :)

I'm sorry to say, but the modders of The Sims 4 community have spoiled those who should seriously work on the game and fix the bugs they caused. (Things are simple if the modders manage to find the solution in 24 hours or less), when for example to fix the bug of the broken animation when you gave birth to a sim in the hospital, it took ages, (and quietly there was a mod that solved the problem). For we shouldn't have to resort to mods, especially if our PC isn't powerful enough to handle them, or if we really can't, because unfortunately they play on consoles... If the modders instead of solving the messes that EA creates, it's not their game . Those who create bug fix mods and are "big" on RU-vid should get together and tell everyone not to buy the sims 4, until EA decides to fix every little bug in the game, even the most insignificant.

The Shit 4 is an awful product and lawsuit worthy. People keep dissing the Sims 3. The Sims 3 had lag, yes that's true but at least it was ambitious back in 2007-2009 when it was developed. The Shit 4 not only isn't ambitious and took steps back but it's still 10 times buggier and laggier. The Shit 4 could somehow be excused if it followed the Sims 2 but its incompetence shines comparing to the massive Sims 3.

It’s sad how we have to play previous sims games to enjoy a life simulation….OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE…Stop supporting EA because they gave you some good memories in the past…I Love the Sims series but I will NEVER support EA again…Sims 5🤮😂it will be a PS3 game running on current gen…I can already see it😂😅

Why the constant complaints? It's not fixing the game for everyone, it's only complicating matters. Just move on..for good. My game plays just fine, and many others do as well. Not rubbing it in, I'm thankful I have no big issues. This proves it's not just an EA issue. It's also how we're playing our individual games, the platform it's on, and what we're putting in and out our games that could be causing most of our problems. You can yell all day, everyday for EA to fix 'your' issues...but it'll only cause new issues for someone else who didn't have any.. It's an endless cycle... Instead of boycotting or wishing death to the game, consider hanging The Sims4 up for good and perhaps moving onto other gaming experiences...

The shop button they added is dumb. They say that it's for convenience but don't you have to restart the game to get the content anyway? So what's the point 😭
