Damn, this one hits different. I’m from El Paso and living on the other side, it’s fucking sad and heartbreaking. Thank you for shining a light on this issue.
“One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. Then the bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.”
That's exactly what is happening with most populations and the governments that control them. How easy would if be if everyone could be on the same page and simply mass in a location and take them over with brute force? It wont solve anything but it sure would be satisfying.
@@hereticlife2546 Yeah, let's not listen to one of the most influential American poets in history about HISTORY... since he studied astronomy also... because some troll that no one has ever heard of before says to. Sure ok.
@@michalaleskandr3985 most influential poets? Hmm. Ok. If you want to learn about history from astronomer poets then go ahead. Neither one of those disciplines make you an authority on history but to each their own. Doesn’t change that statement being dumb as fuck, whether you’ve heard of me or not. Maybe you have heard of me and you don’t know it. I wonder what historical lesson did the astronomer glean this from? When did this happen “as a historical lesson”? Is it actually “the saddest one in history”? What a joke.
Dang son, I just realized how far you've come, I started to know about you since you started LFS and I didn't even know you had a podcast this good man. I'm happy for you Danny
This is one of the best interviews i've heard, never realized how much deeper the overall problem really is, and the stuff with China incredible man sounds like a plausible theory not so much a conspiracy. God Bless you Luis and God speed in your endeavors man.
You should listen to this guy Luis Chaparro on the Vigilance elite Podcast, he goes into a bunch of different stories there and the host is a grade a Badass
This stuff is all connected and the chinese have a long memory. President Franklin D. Roosevelts grandfather made his fortune smuggling opium into China for example...
@@xcofcd yeah the china connection is mind blowing. You gotta watch Luis and Vigilance elite talk about this part, they go in more depth and it's pretty crazy. The CCP basically acts as a globally dominant Yakuza
It will be decades before the current generations of Mexican and Mexican-Americans are able to address the trauma and injustice they’ve been facing for so long. Hopefully there’s some kind of resolutions the country can make soon.
I agree. But, idk if you've noticed, a lot of people in many countries are on the precipice of a bottomless pit of trauma. Its right around the corner but a lot of people dont even see it coming.
R.I.P Mexico 🇲🇽 and R.I.P the USA 🇺🇸… both leaning towards communism… the legalization of violence, homicide, crime and drugs is one of the unfortunate results of the communist philosophy Express into reality ☹️
You're out of touch with reality. All this started in 2010 during obamas fast n furious controversy where nobody was prosecuted. Look up a graph of when Mexican murders peaked and connect the dots. This is out of the control of Mexican authorities
Man that was a great conversation. I first saw Luis on The Shawn Ryan Show and I'm happy to see him again on a different podcast. Keep it up Luis, you have a cool story and you are a great journalist.
@Alt Fi with Leigh Lommen you can actually watch a bunch of his videos, they happen to exist, despite your disbelief. I saw the one he explains about being blindfolded a while ago and didn't know this was the same guy.
I discovered your channel via Matt Cox and have been opened up to a world of mind blowing experiences through your vision. From Ben V to the Statistician I watched this morning explaining decreases in sperm count across the world to the dangers of the Sinaloa cartel this evening. You have the most interesting guests. Thank you for sharing them with us! You rock Danny!!
Except that he lied about just walking into a store and buying a gun and walking right out. Just like every other state, a gun buyer has to go through an FBI background check.
Life is not fair; those politicians are making money of of the back of their populations and they will not face any repercussions. That’s why I always get mad when the book is thrown at people at the bottom of society. It’s easier to be strong towards someone weaker than someone who is powerful. On another note; getting money and mostly power will always be the priority in our society. People at the top are always protected
Him and Ed Calderon are the best, although Calderons not a journalist technically. He has first hand experience and so much knowledge on the subject. Look up Calderon and this guy's interview on the Shawn Ryan Show.
@@gunbacker9428 Ed Calderon is a fraud. Dude is cartel and says he isn’t. Listen to OG Shadow if u wanna hear the best. He has a channel on RU-vid. He called out Ed and Ed never responded

@KONCRETE I just found your podcast I must say this interview and the interview with Ed Calderon are amazing. The way this guy speaks about being in Juarez and something about the town there's a certain electricity that's in the air the food is good there's things to do but there's a certain , I don't know Iron smell in the air but it amplifies everything... Great journalism my guy keep up the good work I'll keep hitting the thumbs up
Anybody remember when the FBI ( I believe ..if not it was the cia) sold a large number of guns to a cartel and a couple a those guns were used to kill a police officer and border patrol officer and 2 citizens...plus others I'm sure they don't know about or won't admit ....the idea behind selling the guns was so later on when people got caught with them they could trace them in order to catch and prosecute many people .....it was not a good idea !!! But nobody got prosecuted on our side for doing that !
Sinaloa Cartel was an Obama administration project. The connection between US government and Mexican drug cartel started after 911 when the Bush administration started arming drug cartels to kill al-Qaeda operatives that could come from Mexico. The operation was a dud but the Obama administration wanted to control the drug operations in Mexico. Because Sinaloa had strong connections in Chicago they started to build them up, giving them weapons, protections from investigations and killing the competition.
Next time when my parents ask me to explain the difference between classic interview and podcast, I'll put this one out. Praise to both of you, I think I would finish the interview even if you talked about woke culture.
I watched the Ed Calderon cast, now Luis. Fantastic interviews. Interviewer is very subtle, compared to the interviewed. I enjoy how some of the questions are the same between both, but how their backgrounds have such different POVs.
You should watch his appearance on the Shawn Ryan Show if you haven't yet. Edit: And the videos with Ed Calderon on the Shawn Ryan Show for content similar to this.
@@nightmark2120 pfft must feel nice to live in a lil bubble lol. The US literally bred these cartels back during ww2 with the OSS and thats not even scratching the surface when it comes to US intervention in Latin America regarding the flow of drugs and arms. The US carries as much blame as Mx.infact Im almost convinced this has to be a troll account/comment considering the short sighteness and sheer lack of ignorance when it comes to US involvment in Mx alone. The American Mil industrial complex literally play both sides in Mx (via plan Merida/Merida initiative) by arming both the mx military/leo AND supplying the Cartel(s) all bc the US wants to maintain some sort of leverage on the flow of drugs.
1:00 - in a previous meeting you said he was your friend. He did it out of caring for you, even though y’all not friends anymore he still took care of you. Not saying what he did was right but you can’t fault him for looking out for a person he genuinely cared about. I wouldn’t turn my back on those type of people
Your not thinking …. He lied if it was true that he told him off he won’t be able to go back to Juarez he has to lie to protect his relationship with him .. a true friend
The town he’s talking about where they killed 400 people is called Allende here in Coahuila, the town is super calm now and safe to go to, sad that it happened
This is a good one I remember in the late 2000s it was crazy, rip Bobby Saucedo he was a school board member out of south El Monte who got kidnapped out of a restaurant in Durango and was tortured then murdered, remember it hit hard in our city, people don’t even mention it or acknowledge it bc nothing happen after the incident nobody was caught or arrested it was like it was swept under the rug
so messed up how corrupt both sides of the government is that the only way to live is through being in a cartel. prayers for peace around and through all countries involved!

This guy talks about getting kidnapped far more nonchalant than Danny talking about doing too much edibles that one time. It just goes so far over the mind how insane this stuff is
I was kidnapped and got my ass beat in mexicali once by the Mexican police somehow by the grace of the big man upstairs I woke up in calexico USA with no phone or wallet I have no idea how I made it over the border or what. But I’m very happy I’m alive after that shit fuck mexicali
During my early age me and my family went thru a war. Till this day, I can still recall the screams . The heavy gun fire and the bomb sirens like in Ukraine. Maybe I have PTSD. Maybe not. But I am partially screwed up lol. 🤷
Man, this podcast was so good. Jesus Christ man. About the guns laws, I support the ban on guns, but Luis' opinion actually gave me another perspective about it.
The problem with the innocent citizens NOT having guns is that now the lawless rule through killing and intimidation. If the bad guys knew they may get blown away, they’d think twice.
Wow Danny, you must have been pretty into this guys story. I'm halfway through and you haven't derailed this convo with a dumb question yet. Proudofyou
I had one uncle of mine disappear in Mexico, he was a farm owner and only had two guys working for him, our the blue we never had contact with him then one day we had a random phone call of a ransom and of course my cousins paid in full about $3k and then nothing heard from since month later my older cousins fly out to go find him in his farm and from what people said in the Pueblo, they said he happen to come across some cartel guys killing someone on his land and they kidnapped him on the spot. It was a terinale story to hear and to this day I maybe visited my abuelos that are still alive 92yrs old but it’s a bit nerving the times that I have gone to visit
I am sincerely grateful to all of the drug cartels in Mexico for being such consistent sources for the various drugs that tens of millions of U.S. citizens purchase from their drug retailers (drug dealers) here in the U.S. and use on a regular basis. Thank you for your hard work in the business of professionally manufacturing/producing the exact high-grade drugs that so many people love! Many people might not know this, but not only do drug cartels in Mexico regularly help millions of people in the U.S. by manufacturing and distributing the drugs they use, but they also save some U.S. citizen’s lives by safely and properly manufacturing the drugs that some U.S. citizens would accidentally blow themselves up attempting to produce in makeshift labs had the drugs not been professionally and safely manufactured by drug cartels in Mexico (and made readily available in all U.S. states for decades past and well into the future)! We are grateful to you for your excellent work in drug manufacturing and distribution.
Can you start embedding any photos the guest is showing you on the screen? Woulda been dope to see that pic of the 9 year old with the Gatling gun. Enjoying the content 💪🏻
I didn't see that particular picture, however I lived in Juárez and Nvo Casa Grandes. There is a picture of a young sicario holding a Stinger Manpad ( though he's holding it backwards and I doubt he has the charging cell. Look up La Línea and Nuevo Casa Grandes.

Can you bring him again and ask him about the problem that the Mexican military have fighting the cartels and being accused of violating human rights and they are not able to use the same guns equipment that the cartel against them
The biggest problem the Mexican Military have fighting Cartels is how bad the salaries are, even if you become part of a special forces unit you are still getting a horrible salary, the problem is that the Cartel knows this so they do some heavy recruiting of military service men offering them 3-5 times more what they made in the Mexican Military so you can imagine the huge problem the military faces, they are training guys to potentially will become sicarios. When it comes to weapons, the biggest problem is one not many people talk about, specially not idiots like the dumbass getting interviewed on this video, The mexican military are extremely controlled when it comes to the types of weapons they can have by the US, there is an initiative that the US had Mexico sign back in the day in which Mexico pretty much signed their military power to the US, that is the reason why the Cartels are usually better equipped than the mexican military. The Involvement of the US is unbelievable and at times quite difficult to understand, it is well known how some cartels have operated for years with the blessing of the US then suddenly the US cuts them off and goes with another cartel and so on,
It’s corruption if you know Spanish you can listen to Gafe423 videos he used to be a ex Mexican special forces soldier who saw combat against drug cartels I remember he said a lot of them do want to fight them and I remember in one of his vids he talked about el comando x which was like a battalion of soldiers who took justice into their own hands because they were fed up about not being able to do anything they basically said screw the law and they just went out on manouvers and killed as many sicarios/ cartel members as they could find instead of arresting them.
I could definitely imagine the Chinese government sending their best chemists over to Mexico to help the cartels make fentanyl or anything else that is gonna cause the US a shitload of problems...overdoses, murders, robberies and all the other trouble that addiction can cause.
I heard something a year or so ago, about back in the ‘Silk Road ‘ era /whenever Asia /China , were considered “heavy hitters” (a force to be reckoned with) Was kind of stopped in its tracks by the Opium Trade… “The Asian People “ became addicted to smoking opium, and didn’t want to really do anything else……so the 100 (or thousand I’m tired and my brain isn’t working right now lol) year war, was organized, to where Asia/China, vowed redemption , and if this is true about the Chinese chemist doing this, I believe it stems from This.
I don't know how this guy can comfortably sit in that chair for a 3 hour interview with the weight of those massive balls. Jesus dude. Great interview!
I wish the authorities would prioritize enforcement against the most violent actors rather than those who move the most weight. The size of the US drug market makes it inevitable that drugs will flow across the US border, but mass murder doesn’t have to part of the drug trafficking process. Incentivize the cartels to behave somewhat honorably and aggressively target those with the biggest civilian death toll
Holyyy fuck this interview is epic!! This is the best I’ve ever heard the cartels explained by someone. It’s so raw. I’m Mind blown! Thankyou Louis your amazing.
Dude el mayos son one of them got arrested I think 2013. The kid was a lawyer I think and had a family. They made him miserable our government and put him in solitary confinement for years. He finally called his dad and said he was going to snitch. They made a deal where the guy ended giving info about chapo which was mayos partner and shortly after Chapo went down and now he’s on witness protection program. I saw the guy from dea talking about this case on tv and I feel like it was messed up and he got treated terribly. Basically he got screwed for coming to the us and being mayos son.
Interesting note from an S&P Global article from 2021 titled "$22.6B Mexican lithium mine bogs down in drug cartel, tech risks." It notes the company is Canadian. It also notes Tesla's involvement had ended.
🤔 So you don't think well off, or even .1%'ers never have problems? Just because one can solve every money problem for the entirety of their lives, & the next 3-5 generations of their children's lives, doesn't make them immune to problems.
Love this podcast! But I think you need to look up the Opium Wars for an explanation of why the Chinese would be looking to pump a lot of the US with Fent - China are using the same strategy that the British Empire did on them
That OG Flip Sorry deck is so sick dude! Haven’t seen one of those in forever. Still have my Tom Penny Shroom deck from that era. Best era of Skateboarding ever.
Your friend gets the people that almost killed you killed, and you cut him off. But he told you you were safe to go back home. So your good enough to go home and enjoy the freedom to not be captured again, but never thank the friend who loved you enough to avenge you
He lied buddy be smarter that that it protects his childhood friend .. proof in the pudding he went back to Juarez and his boy his a cartel member .. he has to lie about the relationship
He's not going to openly say he's supporting his friend for avenging him. That would make him look like he's on the side of the cartels. He finessed it. This guy has been doing this for a long time because he's smart. Not a dumb dumb.
Drugs are illegal, they should never be legal, in other words there is no ‘’ right way’’ to do the ‘’wrong thing ‘’. Marijuana became legal, black market for weed didn’t go away. Legalizing drugs should never be an option.
Imagine the role the cartels could play in world war 3. I read something years ago where Russia has contact with the cartels and would mention how Texas,Arizona,California and New Mexico could once again become a part of Mexico. I think the cartels are very slept on in the USA and how much damage they could do. Just on a psychological level of leaving skinned headless bodies out in the street. It could get bad real quick. Of course people always say the cartels can't do shit vs our military but they could be a major thorn in our side and who knows what weapons or bombs or whatever they have. I could see the cartel having a dirty bomb or some major weapons.

He’s wrong about El Mayo and El Chapo, they were both leaders but of their own factions there is no 1 leader, Chapo moved huge amounts of drugs and now his sons control everything
Bro, you are right. It is so frustrating hearing so called "journalists" perpetuate this myth that El Mayo was El Chapo's boss. It is total nd complete nonsense. As a matter of fact El Mayo was not even originally part of the CDS(Sinaloa Cartel). Chapo and Guero Palma founded the CDS. Ask yourself this question, why would Chapo later bring in someone into the cartel to be higher than him? The funny thing is this "Mayo was Chapo's boss" myth is news to Chapo's sons (Chapitos) who literally keep running the Chapo faction of the Sinaloa cartel right along El Mayo.
@@jimmydane34 Yes, he this "journalist" is 100% wrong. Part of this myth grew from the fact that Chapo was able to regain ground quickly after escaping prison so they all attribute that to El Mayo but they forget that Chapo's relative El Barbas/Arturo Beltran Leyva helped Chapo get back on his feet after escaping prison, it was not only Mayo. Yet I never hear these same people claim El Barbas was Chapo's boss, ironically they claim both Chapo and Mayo were El Barbas boss which is also false lol. In short, El Chapo, El Barbas, El Mayo, Nacho Coronel and El Azul all ran their factions of the CDS federation. None was the boss of the other. Chapo just happened to be the most popular because he was the most charismatic and was involve in headlines such as prison escapes and shootouts etc.
@@lifeisforaseason u think he knows this and stating false statements for w.e reason....(idk of any...maybe protection?) Or he just flat out doesnt know this? But if u know this. I feel like you missed the point .. he didn’t say the whole town works for the cartel, but they are loyal to the cartel because they take care of their needs .. the gov doesn’t so they snitch on the gov to the cartel
