As much as I hate how he's probably the most stereotypical fake "rapper", I appreciate the fact that he's a very mainstream artist promoting a Capella music.
sarahhchan It's because as the 3rd judge said ( I forgot his name) he is a TRUE bass, it's not just his singing voice but his voice in general is just so low, gotta love it :)

Felipe Gil I think i know what you saw, but i remembered them saying that kevin indeed has the "perfect" pitch, but Kirstie is close to it...meaning she trained for it, but it's not perfect yet. Well maybe it is now, but at the time of the interview it wasn't quiet perfect.
what really makes me laugh is the clip on that radio show where the host asks avi what his lowest note is and avi asks the group for an A for reference, kirstie hits an almost immaculately pitched A and mitch sings like an F# for some reason lol
It blows my mind that all we're hearing here are VOICES and no instruments! I can definitely hear Avi's bass throughout the whole performance. He is a badass beast.
DarthRayj She really has incredible range! In songs like On My Way Home and Carol of the Bells she's singing the same notes as Scott, Mitch, or Avi, and then you hear her do Mariah Carey's Emotions whistle notes up an octave.
As far as consistency, this is the lowest Avi sang during The Sing-Off, other than dog days. Every single time he sings the progression of chords, the last note is a low A. My goodness.
I'm not sure he sung it tho... There also were the bass from Urban method (Tony) who could lower than avi (watch here i go again) and at that time, an A1 was very low for Avi, he could barely hit Bb1 at that time. Also, if you listen carefully, you can tell that during this performance, the A1 always had less volume, I'm guessing that's because Avi wouldn't sing that note. But that's just my theory, we'd have to ask Avi haha (now tho he absolutely nails that A1)
Well, maybe it was just Tony this time, but either one has a fantastic range. And Avi is incredibly strong now. A1s and B1s are low even for a bass. I can only occasionally hit them (and never with any power).
+Thomypark I actually think that it was Avi doing the low A1. At some points at the video you could see how he had to concentrate a little bit more or just see his effort on singing which made me guess that it's him doing the low A1. I'm not really sure because at some parts you can also notice Tony's effort on the low note's so it may be both of them if that's possible?
You guys do realise that Kevin is not the only beatboxer there right? Urban Method's beatboxer, Richard, is one of the sickest in the field and him mixed with Kevin and all the bassists just sounds like fucking heaven.
Kirstie is the only female in this that could sing and since there was one of her and 3 of the Urban Method girls she tried as hard as she could to save the girls part but couldn't. Good try Kirstie this is why ur awesome
See, I've never watched the Sing-Off, and I don't watch shows like it (American Idol, Pitch Perfect, etc.), AND I don't listen to R&B, Rap, or Pop music very often. That being said, I've become a huge fan of Pentatonix. So watching this from beginning to end, and without bad-mouthing Urban Method or Flo Rida or whatever his real name is, I can only say that I cannot wait for them to do their own cover of the song.
I really do have an immense dislike for mainstream media, not really for because of artist/actors themselves, but rather because it seems designed wholly to rake in cash. I'm not an indie guy, I don't really follow alternate or independent musicians or cinema, but it really does seem to me that today's media has a serious need for fresh blood and talent. And as far as melodramatic antics, I really hate that in television - especially in shows that are supposed to be for giving aspiring new talent a spot in the limelight and not for giving hacks a position to judge others worth with absolutely no authority on the matter (FUCK YOU SIMON COWELL, YOU FUCKING LIMEY BASTARD) - Sorry bout that. It appears that my verbal filter has broken again. While part of me feels that a certain Englishman should suffer the same fate as Rasputin, I'm sure that he has some redeeming qualities that I simply haven't noticed yet. And I just posted a huge rant about yet another blow to my faith in humanity, which would have been better spent praising the talent and success of some deserving young stars. I wish the best of luck to these guys, and eagerly await the day when they will be performing in front of thousands of fans like me.

I can hit the low notes...that's one thing...but hitting them while dancing/moving around on stage....that's a whole different story. I'm extremely impressed with the bass/basses.
I know that this was the routine but I feel like when Kirstie was dancing with FloRida he was being a little creepy and the guys were like NOPE NOT OUR KIRSTIE and I thought it was really cute
Brenna if you watch closely Avi, Scott and Mitch all watch Kirstie the ENTIRE time. She’s their little sister and they need to protect her but also Scott and Mitch are her ex’s so they are still a bit protective of her
I wish I could see the guys more in this video. Most of the time, it was just Florida dancing in front with all of the girls with the guys behind them.
Not only was that a stellar performance that was an amazing arrangement. I don't think the groups on here get enough credit for when they put together a great arrangement because that's just as important as the performance.
I totally agree with you. I gotta admit, I had no idea he IS that good live. I mean, his songs are typically heavy with all kinds of effects and whatnot done with computers so I thought that he is one of those "singers" whose voice is fixed and remastered through dozens of computer programs. So glad to know that I was wrong, now i really respect him as an artist.
Honestly I was wondering what Flo Rida was doing on a show all about a capella singing. But the arrangement works and Flo Rida truly looks like he's enjoying himself out there.
So I was watching The Voice finale.. Is it just me, or is The Sing-Off more exciting? I feel like after the blind auditions everything else is the same as all of the other singing competitions.
Dude Flo Rida is very talented. He has an incredible sense of rhythm and very intuitive flowing harmonies in his verses. Don't get me wrong, everyone else is a badass, too, but Flo Rida isn't exactly a talentless hack.

I remember when this first came out how many people were talking about how the only thing that could've make this a better performance was if they'd let Myke rap instead of Flo Rida. I've been a big fan of PTX since the very start, but I've gotta say that it's sad to see how many people total miss the impressive performance being put on by Urban Method because they are too obsessed with PTX. =/ Appreciate all the talent on the stage.
I like Kirstie...but the other girls are pretty good. Kim's an awesome singer. They unfortunately didn't showcase her as much as they could've, but she always nailed her parts even if there were bits here and there.
