Nathan Mabie at least there’s actual horror in the game unlike call of Cthulhu. Swear it’s so boring that even the jump scares are just boring.

As much as I want this to succeed. I worry that it'll be a case of the developer's resource and execution not being able to match their ambition. I think the game will be a disappointment as a result.

It was okay-ish, nearly on every corner in the game you can feel that there was not enough time/money/skill do create the game they wanted it to be. Originally Frogwares should do Coc, but then Focus said they arent happy with the outcome, so they hired someone else to do it. Maybe not the best bet in the end...

According to the official gameplay trailer, the game will not hold your hand when it comes to solving cases, which means you can make an incorrect deduction and not realize it until the consequences play out later.

Buying this game on day 1 is fraught with risk. As much as I want it to succeed, there is every possibility that it'll be a limited and janky mess of a game.

Looks like Bioshock, Fallout, La noire, The Order 1886, Alan Wake, with some clear inspiration from HP Lovecraft, and borrowed mechanics from Eternal Darkness, and Arkham Asylum (which did it before Call of Cthulhu n Detroit Become Human)

That game focuses on one case as it slowly degrades your mind. This from what it seems, you are solving multiple cases and your sanity is ticking down throughout it all and this game seems to encourage you to try and fight back despite how futile it will probably turn out to be

It got pushed back to June 2019 mate. The devs were honest to admit it was a crowded month, hence the decision! Fine by me, more time for polish and for playing Devil May Cry V, Sekiro and Days Gone.

So a little bit Silent Hill, a little bit sherlock holmes. Sounds cool but when i hear "ammo will be scarce", it makes me wonder how helpless you are without it. I hate if you run out of ammo and you end up having to run past enemies or it borks your save up when you don't know there's a big fight in the next room and you just saved with no ammo

Also, this game was supposed to be call of cthulu, but the frogware devs were fired but they rebranded the project and completed the game. Also, that game was a linear adventure game and this is an open world detective game.

True but Cthulhu's awakening impacts us more prodominately. But who knows, they clearly have deep ones in the game so Dagon may be in there. The Nameless One may also appear (I hope so).

I just finished the Plague Tale. what a masterpiece. it was way better than the last of us. sadly the game ended.This could fill the gap. Hope they'll fix the robotic stiff looking animations.
