And here I was craving some cosmic horror this week! Looks amazing guys, you should be proud. I remember how straight up you were about game mechanics that were difficult to implement in the last preview I saw for the game, and I think that's something most studios should aspire to. Looking forward to picking this one up. :)

There should be at least some level of direction and instruction, otherwise it might push some players away. Perhaps they should release a demo first.

The hand holding and forced path has pushed me away from video games for years. I hope this is the new approach for all games. That being said, I have zero interest in being a detective in a demented make believe underworld.

@@JC-li8kk Yeah, horror component here is what puts me off. I'd love to try an actual detective game, however this Silent Hill-esque setting doesn't seem interesting to me. I'd rather see an actual 1920's setting during the Great Depression or something like that.

@@AchiragChiragg it was 6 months ago, but idk about now. Keep in mind that it was pre-alpha and still under development, because things like fog weren't rendered in well and there wasn't an animation for getting out of boats, plus a couple other things that I can't remember

@@The905Studios I really wanted to love Murdered Soul Suspect, but it was so dull and boring. The Sinking City thankfully looks far more interesting, though the protagonist sounds kinda bland like Ronan O'Connor.

Yeah it was super boring and bland. It felt hollow for sure. It kind of turned me off to games like it but I'm trying to forget about that and give this game a fair chance.

That was a cool game, really pretty, but it was so damn short!

I guess I’m the freak review here, because I prefer some level of handholding. I will obsess over every little detail in a room if I don’t have some basic guidance system to keep me from grinding like that. Otherwise I will move on and wonder if I missed a clue that is keeping me from progressing.

Ca me fait tellement plaisir de voir que toi, Monsieur Toc, un testeur que j'apprécie tout particulièrement, tu attendes ce titre avec autant d'impatience que moi. Comme tu le sais, son report en juin vient d'être annoncé, mais comme pour Days Gone, cela va permettre aux développeurs de peaufiner le jeu, notamment au niveau technique, et ça ne me pose aucun problème d'attendre 3 mois de plus pour avoir quelque chose qui sera encore mieux fini. Sans compter que je suis déjà un grand fan de leur travail sur toute la saga Sherlock Holmes, notamment les 2 derniers qui ont apporté de très bonnes nouveautés, en plus du bond graphique. Frogwares est l'un des meilleurs studios en terme d'investigation pure, particulièrement au niveau du gameplay et des mécaniques de jeu. Et je n'oublie pas non plus que tu as mis 18/20 à Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, et je te remercie pour ça. ;) Véritable bijou, il a été l'une des expériences différentes qui m'a le plus estomaqué ces dernières années ; ou comment bouleverser le joueur avec presque rien ? Rarement les notions de mystère et de suggestion n'auront été aussi brillamment et originalement apportées dans une oeuvre de ce genre. Et cette BO, bonté divine ! A tomber !

"No handholding" Has a magic Sheikah slate. The detective vision is just a tool used to explore the game.

Im a bit worried about the detective vision system. It seems to be in every modern game - and I never liked it. Its immersion breaking to say the least.

If you guys didn't know, this game was supposed to be the actual Call of Cthulhu, but for some reason the devs had some issues with the publishers, some conflicts about the direction the game was heading into, hence the publishers Focus interactive hired Cyanide studios to make "Call of Cthulhu" while these devs continued with their vision.

Call of ctulhu gameplay is in firsr person

Sadly, Rockstar have stated they will not be making a sequel to the epic LA Noire. But we might get something similar to it from another developer, I'd hope.

@@MarvelousGames07 You shouldn't really expect high standards for things like graphics and animations cause this is a AA game, meaning it's being made on lower budget compared to mainstream titles by huge studios. However, your concerns regarding repetitive gameplay seem sound. I hope it won't get too tedious and boring.
