I agree. What is worse; this didn't end back then. It was still going on ten years ago. It has happened to people I know in town as well. I witnessed it first hand in London Ontario. I was crushed by a 1000 lb piece of concrete, broke my pelvis, and leg, and suffered internal bleeding injuries. I was unable to sleep for 3 days and was put in a mental hospital for 3 day examination. During that period of time I saw people who were being electro shocked. They also try to force people to take a soluble pill called Olanzapine. I was contacted by a lawyer during that stay who told me that I didn't have to take medication without consent. I was released early; but some people were trapped inside without a trial, or even a charge laid against them. People who suffer from unfortunate circumstances. The concrete was built by a company in London that likely launders drug money and builds sub-code concrete pre-fabricated pieces for student housing. 4 years ago I was shocked by 8000 volts on a job site where my friend was killed and both of my shoulders were broken. I was so relieved when I realized that I would not have to go back to that place. That was my greatest fear; not death, not having my shoulders crippled, not arrhythmia in my heart, enzymes in my Kidneys, necrosis of my cells, surgery, or even dealing with jerks in society who discriminate; NO I was scared to go have crazy people try to erase my mind and call me crazy. I was scared of being totally vulnerable and reliant on completely insane people who seem to be employed in the healthcare system and government of this nation; not excluding any members of my immediate family. Some of them are equally dissonant and really easy to convince when the information comes from the facade of authority.

It's like most organisations, entities, or facilities - a mix of the best and the worst, when it comes to ethics or empathy. There are newer screening methods that could keep many of the ill-suited dangerous types out of employment in medicine (should the 'right people' care to implement them).

I experienced a "rehab programme" for people who have physical neurological issues including MS, neuropathy, stroke, seizures etc, which is nothing more than a brain washing programme. I refused to agree that what they were saying was true, no matter how many times they made me repeat the action or how forcefully told me I was wrong & reality was a lie. My first meeting with the doctor they used gaslighting tactics to say that no neurological condition could affect the digestive tract, despite autonomic dysfunction & the vuagus nerve being affected in many neurological conditions. I refused to agree & the doctor got actually angry & stormed out. After I left I was shocked such tactics were being used in this day & age & never went back. I talked to others online who had very similar experiences there, I try to warn people what they do. The patients who secum to the brain washing are deemed by the doctor to be treated & cured but those of use who refuse to break are deemed to be psychologically damaged & ignore that our physical symptoms are exactly the same as when we were admitted so their "treatment" does not work with everyone. They try to discredit patients who they can not mold & manipulate, despite not having one mental health professional on their staff, not sending any such expert to see me, or anyone else, during my inpatient stay along with both the nurses & Dr being unqualified to diagnose any mental health problems. The irony that those who are mentally ill & vulnerable are much more likely to succumb to the doctor & his nurses emotional & psychological pressures, seems to be lost on that team & the hospital... Unless that know that & are deliberately preying on those poor vulnerable people.

@@lynniekaye7513 As I understand nowadays in the western world it is up to the patient if they want to try ECT & there are standards about how long each session is, the stength & it has limited sessions. Rather than doctors kidnapping them, trying patients down, forcing the treatment in them, using them as ginuea pigs & frying their brain so much they are turned into a vegetable or in the best case scenario permanently scarred for life.

Exactly! That's how it ALWAYS goes. I can't even tell people some of the things I learned from the music and entertainment business. They SAY they believe you, and then turn away as if you just told them a fictitious story. It's insanity. The plan put in place many many years ago has been generally very successful. Yes there may be a few folks like us with their eyes open, but the vast overwhelming majority of the population will outright laugh at you if you tell them any of this information--even if witnessed and were privy too FIRST HAND. It's a nice idea, but PTSD doesn't work like that. The devastating effects of severe trauma won't disappear by removing memories of the trauma. As a poor analogy: it's like denting your car - you can forget how it happened, but the dent is still there. Also, to "wipe" their minds, these people suffered a _lot_ of brain damage.
