Hey Tom, Thanks for the shout out. I must admit, I'm excited to hear your enthusiasm. I couldn't think of anything to change either. The customizations are all things I've done in the past to my Webers. He really put a lot of time and research into getting this right, and it shows. Don't tell him I said that though...I'll never hear the end of it. lol
Thanks for the mention Tom! I actually watch a lot of videos (including yours) on my TV, so I can't comment. I tell myself that I'll go back and comment from my laptop, but I guess I get lazy or distracted. Another great video, so thanks! Your garage-o-grills reminds me of Jay Leno's garage of shiny cars. I ordered some of that gel cleaner stuff you use after watching one of your vids. Cheers brother!
Been waiting on this... you can NEVER leave well enough alone, LOL. I use those very same hooks on my Traeger and my Weber in the stainless table. They come in handy as long as you don't overload them.
I also own a SNS Kettle. Love it so far! I’ve made chicken breasts, thighs and wings on it, along with pork chops. Using it this weekend for pulled beef and chicken. Can’t wait!
Oh man! I thought you were going to go nuts on this grill. That's a pretty sensible addition. I don't use my pegs very often because I end up dripping on the concrete.
You drew me in with the modifications! LOL Glad to see your thoughts on this and see what you would or would not do. I will be ordering the hooks! I do not hang many tools, I live in the country and have seen a raccoon on my security camera licking my grill brush, so I had to replace it and now keep my tools inside different grills, but while I am cooking I will hang them. I am really enjoying my kettle! Cheers!
The guru should work on that just fine. on my draft inducer tube there are threads on it so if you wanted to screw it on then yes the hole is too small but if you are using the weber installation kit with the seating clamp... then it will work fine. I would love to have this grill but.. I have 5 and I flattop already... and my wife says NO MORE GRILLS!! So I don't think I will get it... LOL. but if Dave were to just send me one... I think that would be fine!... Take care Tom.
Got my sns grill coming on the 26th July . Great idea with the magnetic hooks , will definitely get some . Looking forward to seeing some of your cooks on it Tom
Im thinking about buying one of these, they now come in black in 2022.... ive always had weber but the new ash pan design drives me nuts, this one looks kinda like the old weber design which worked better...the small side table would be nice as well and this grill basically comes already modded ... i love the lid bail, my copper kettle doesnt have that but Ive used them on the performer previously
I just had David Parish, owner of SNS Grills on the podcast yesterday.. the episode will air in the next 2 weeks on RU-vid, FaceBook, and anywhere you get audio podcasts!
I added the Char-Broil Gear Trax tool hooks ($4.99 on amazon) using existing holes. Dave at SNS indicates the holes are meant to drain rain that may get on tray if stored outside in the elements with the tray down.
Hey ya old man in the land of grills! I hope you are doing well. I’ve got a good question/challenge for you. I want to know what brand rotisserie ring attachment will work on the SNS grill. I think the Weber’s ring diameter is too small, not sure. I know you made a video a couple of years ago using the Only Fire ring on a Weber kettle. My question is which rotisserie ring works best with the SNS kettle. You’re the man to solve this quandary for me because I want to get a SNS grill, but want to be able to add a rotisserie ring that fits well. Thanks in advance Tom and love the channel! 🍻
Thanks for Watching John! At this time I’m not aware of any rotisserie ring that will fit the SNS kettle, hopefully I’ll find something or SNS will make one. I appreciate your support and comments!
Another great review Tom. I actually like the color. And yes 3/4 of an inch can make a difference lol. Or so I’ve heard. Congratulations on the love from Greg!
Hey Tom, thanks for the nice video. I bought one after looking at your reviews and i really love it, but is there a fix for the bottem vent, because my handel is very lose and that makes it difficult to do minor adjustments. Thanks a lot from Holland
Thanks for Watching Jerome! I would e mail SNS on that it should not be loose. Have you tried turning it 90 degrees so the tab is pointed up, that’s the position that it’s at its tightest.
I think you should Suprise Dave and add some flare to boring battleship grey. Luv the video's informative and entertaining. See what you think about the Napolean kabob rotiseree attachment could we use it on weber rotisserie, check it out. It's 17" by 6" it doesn't show rod adaptability, the robot was hard to understand.
It does look like a solid grill. I suppose my one quibble would be it’s easier to find cheap Weber replacements, grates specifically than having to order any from them. Any other advantages you’ve seen on the Weber grills?
I'm just wondering how you got 2 hooks on with all 4 still in the package at the same time? LOL, "mysterious mod" Cheers Tom! Wish it came in other colors.
Nice review and mod - question as a true southpaw ( my right arm is basically just hanging there 🤣) do you think the lid would be interfering with flipping meat when the lid is in the bake?
Louis at R shack BBQ That’s a good question Louis! I think to an extent it would be in the way. However if you moved it so it was in the back of the grill then it wouldn’t be. Thanks for Watching!
Louis once we have a couple of production runs under our belt it's our intention to make a few limited edition left handed grills. The struggle is real!
Hey Tom nice review, I like the simple mods. When I put utensil hooks on my stuff I put them at eye level because they are a little easier to reach and my dogs can't lick them. Check out my 250 subs video, I mention you in there 2 or 3 times. Have a great day my friend.
