I like that you started reviewing other smart gadgets.

I've tried several different systems, and ALL of them break at the plastic fittings after a few months to a year or so. At that point, water is spraying everywhere until you notice the flood. You can help extend the time until things break by using a short extension hose so that the device doesn't hang from the faucet. The weight of the hoses and water place a lot of torque on the fittings otherwise. I've decided to avoid the disasters until someone makes a quality product using brass fittings.

Thanks for the review, guys. I've been looking for an automatic irrigation system to manage home crops since I went on holiday and lost a lot to the weather. Thought this seemed interesting, but definitely disappointed by it's lack of intelligence so will keep looking - please share any others you know of!
