I’m fine with it being dead because it’s not in my life and I’m tired of paying crazy prices. I love the reasonable low prices.

Money isn't floating around like it was during covid, and Nike is combating reselling in different ways right now. A lot of us are glad though.

It’s great that the market is normalizing a bit more now…….there weren’t this many “sneaker heads” before Covid hit…..and they’re slowly going away again. Hopefully this keeps resellers to a minimum….not everyone needs to open a sneaker store. Dope video as usual 🙏🏾

I think times are tough for a lot of people. Everything else is really expensive and shoes are a luxury. People should be responsible with their money and need to keep rainy day funds at a higher amount…

I think it's official, the official predictions are officially wrong. Seriously though, that's what every market does, up and down. I mean most hype shoes were on heavy discount at some point. Resellers will fall off, then market will stabilize and eventually recycle. As a person who wears my shoes, I am glad we're going into this dip

This is the result of the resellers not paying attention to what’s happening around them in the market pricing sneakers at outrageous prices and expecting people to pay them . Price is more than a persons rent car note electricity bill put together. Lotta resellers out here thinking short game and I’m not thinking about the long game and that’s what put them in this predicament .

As soon as I saw pretty much every collection-based hobby get destroyed (in terms of skyrocketing prices) starting in 2020 I knew then, there are a bunch of bubbles that are about to grow quickly and burst. It’s been so sad honestly, to see sneakers become legitimate speculative, financial instruments/assets. That is peak materialism and consumerism.

It’s crazy that when I pay retail lately it feels like too much!!! Can’t stress how happy this makes me. Nike is doing their part by flooding the market with releases.

All that matters is supply and demand. Nike is producing more sneakers and ppl are buying less. Market won’t recover for a long time and that’s a good thing

I buy reps alot lol . but if the full presentation of the OG is available for just 50-60 bucks more ill buy the originals . this could be a good thing. but either way imma get a shoe at a good price regardless . but i admit , im Loving the " F the resellers " mindset ive been seeing more and more lately lol

I’m OK with some of the shoes being for resale but you don’t have to add $100-$200 to some pairs that’s the problem that I’m having and just all the back door type of business even footlocker l feel like sometimes bullshit with their app

I just started collecting Jordan’s 1’s I’m buying up all the Jordan 1’s at or around $100. (Which is quite a few) then I’m gonna work my way up to the more expensive ones. I guess I’m a collector, but I actually plan to wear them. 😊

I grew up out here in Los Angeles area… around the Car scene and the music scene. Both are currently DEAD AF. I kinda feel like those of us left understand that it will never come back, but it makes things easier for us to grab what we want and are looking for.

the newest releases are always gonna have all the hype and they're always gonna cost a lot. but yeah this is an excellent time to go back and buy sneakers we missed out on, for newbs like me just getting into sneakers.

From my perspective, this is the way the sneaker market was supposed to be. People did have extra money during COVID and there was the Jordan documentary. Now things are back to normal. For me, I don’t buy based on hype. I buy based on the color way and if I get it for retail. I never pay resale on anything.

They release way too many sneakers and most of them are honestly trash so people stop buying. Then they just keep releasing the same sneaker "retroed" and eventually it gets boring and then the resellers are just getting insane with the hogging and people just give up paying $1k for $100 worth of shoes because its rare. Im happy with it collapsing at the moment i can obtain shoes i actually want to wear for once

I’ve been collecting and wearing since 2003. The Covid years 2020-2022, were basically historical and we’ll never see that insane inflated market again. That was once in a lifetime. It’s a good thing for me and people who like to wear shoes. Only very limited hype releases, or classic OG models (bred 3s, bred 4s, Chicago 1s, Bred 1s, concord 11s, bred 11s, black cement 5s, white cement 4s, any nice 4s, stuff like that) will fetch decent resale. Maybe in 2-3 years stuff could pick up, but nothing like Covid times. That was the big money years, which was due to a once in a lifetime experience. Hopefully people can’t snatch up grails now.

How many Jordn 1s and 2s they going to keep dropping we need 8s, 14s, 15s, 16s, 17s, 19s, 23 give us more more those we got tobmany 3s, 6s and 13s. Ive only hit on military 4s.

If resale prices aren't at a place where people can at least get their money back then they're going to start getting real selective about the stuff they go for. Especially if they have a nice collection of stuff to wear and some shoes they haven't even worn yet.

The sneaker market isn’t dead the sneaker resell market could be which I don’t have a problem with at all. The excessive marking up of some sneakers was ridiculous and ruined the love for sneakers for some people. So the correction was gonna come like everything else. But what you like and love just that simple.

No complaints from me. I think this is great for us who actually want to buy shoes to wear them. Do I sometimes sell some of my shoes? Yeah, but that's only because I don't wear them enough to justify the space they take up when I could recoup some money to buy other shoes I'd wear much more. Reselling was never meant to be more than a side hustle for some people or a way to finance buying more shoes, not a career.

It's not dead. Like very market, it goes up and down. It's not owning a store that goes out of business. This is a big market. As time goes by, it will recover .
