Dude... agent Harris literally slept with a coworker to get inside information on where Phil was, and couldn't even wait until she was out of the room to tell Tony.
Andrew, never looked at that scene that way.... interesting. Hey now, if that broad was banging Harris she had her reasons too. With all due respect, Harris wasn’t exactly Brad Pitt over here.
can you please explain what he meant by that? my english is pretty good but not always good enough to get full understanding.. how did this death benefit the agent..?
@@bodybuildingABC Harris was essentially on Tony's side in the war, both because they were trading information and because he ended up just kinda liking Tony personally. So he was excited that Tony was winning. Harris actually based on a real FBI agent who worked with some mob IIRC, who said a similar thing when he heard a rival mobster got killed.
I love how Tony treats Agent Harris, like he’s an annoying little brother that’s forced to be with you to go out and constantly bugging you, rather than treating it like it’s a federal agent 😂
One of my favorite all time scenes. I love how this quid pro quo "friendship" developed, even just briefly. Both men having jobs that put a wedge between them and their family. Both love their country despite thier differences.
Tony cons, bribes, and murders his fellow citizens for profit. He's not a patriot, he's a sociopath. You have to be pretty warped to describe that as "loving your country."
So do I. I always loved the fact that he always acted like a real professional. He did his job but always treated Tony like a fellow human being and tried to always let him keep his dignity. I was really impressed with the flowers his office sent to his mother's wake.
He knew that NY and terrorists were the real deal and in a way he did enter in that mutually beneficial relationship of sort. Not the first time government worked with mafia, see WW2 Invasion of Italy.
I agree and his relationship with Tony in the final seasons 6a-6b was very interesting. They are both very respectful of one another considering they are technically mortal enemies at first but in the end Agent Harris knows Tony is an extremely lesser evil and will work with Tony based off their prior friendly and respectful relationship.
@@flightofthebumblebee9529 how are the mafia a lesser evil than terrorists they destoy the nation from within all the time ?! terrorists only hurt your massive american egos !
@@gobblelevclass3nuclearsubm393 The Mafia certainly aren’t good, but it’s generally not their aim to kill innocent civilians (although it does happen). Terrorists’ main aim is to do precisely that.
@@acat6145 true but I think once Harris started working counter terrorism he saw Tony as the much lesser evil. Tony also came to truly respect Harris' job too
@@acat6145what do you think cops do? They murder, rape, take bribes, they're their own mob, and everyone knows it. Even a cop with morals knows he has to work with scumbag cops to do the job.
One of the coolest things was the fed celebrating after hearing phil got wacked lol..he felt like his team won!! he had to check himself because he was around his colleagues
Lmao. Agent Harris not only pulling TnA Wayyyy out of his league but also finessing deep CI knowledge out of her and passing it onto his former target. Easily my favorite substory of the entire series. "DAMN! We're gonna win this thing!". I dunno how man times I've watched this clip and I laugh every time. Never underestimate hometown pride or the human element in any historic moment. Often times the greatest events are decided or greatly influenced by the tiniest, stupidest thing. It's so absurd it could easily be real.
They were a means to each other's end. Tony got some info, as well as Harris. They both benefited from this relationship for their respective professions, so I guess it's a win-win.
One of the most interesting (and realistic) parts of the show is how both the individuals within the FBI and the mafia see others with total indifference, and completely disposable in relation to the wider interests of the organisation they represent. Agent Harris works personally with Adrianna. He knows what happened to her, and he cares about as much as he did when he helped put her in that fatal situation in the first place, which is to say not at all.
@@retroguy9494 all the middle east isnt desert, and it used to be one of the most fertile places on earth, sadly not so much anymore. they still grow alot of shit, but what's protrayed in movies are usually deserts. people dont live in deserts unless they are nomads and move around, usually.
Tony seemed to have a great deal of respect for intelligent people like Mink, Harris, etc. who were just as clever speakers as him. Notice at 1:22, Tony usually hates it and cuts off people when they talk about their lives, but Harris knew how to keep it on level fields between them
@@AnastasiaBeaverhousn yeah he told Tony where Phil was because of his threats towards that agent. Do your research next time before making an obviously asinine statement.
I also love the little detail of the butcher saw in the background as Tony orders a sandwich. Same saw used to dice up Richie. The little details in this show were outstanding.
@Principal Scudworth According the writers 15 years later lol. The actual writing of the ending was more profound to me. Tony could've died that night in the Diner, he damn well deserved to. The way I perceived it is Tony is stuck looking over his shoulder for the rest of his life . Tony knows he isn't safe and his family isn't either. He will live a life of insecurity with only his enemies by his side. He did betray almost every one who was loyal to him , atleast to some degree.
@@austinarellano1657 He did die. You notice the gun to his head? ru-vid.comUgkx1dEdctuyqs4ZHzfEL9tCuYfk8pI1lrDI It's part of the wallpaper, I think, but it looks like the barrel of a gun.
When agent Harris said, "damn we are gonna win this thing." Was that referenced to Tony winning the gang war. Impling how much he likes Tony and he's on his team
4:01 at this point, in the car with that noir lighting... amazing. clearly portrayed them both as very similar, miserable people living on two sides of a coin
I know the actor who playyed agent harris. Greaat guy. If I were to compare him to a character in the show he is more like artie bucco than any other character. A pro chef irl.
0:49 HOOOO Borko my man, what's with the gratuitous editing!? *Nobody needs to know about how the Shah of Iran used to eat grill cheese cooked off a radiator!*
Man, you are the man of your own rights here. For the first timers this would be some jumbled up video clips put together but for us it’s refined gold.
I think Agent Harris and Tony had mutual respect, they both respected the power they carried in their field in my opinion...and it Helps Harris can be relatable .
Ladies and gens i found out after 14 years that there is a video game based on Sopranos.Even worse i found out that there is a restaurant called Sopranos in my own town, that is working for years and i didn't even noticed it. :D
