black guy auditioning for sopranos: "ok so what you got for me?" casting director: "ok so in this scene you're taking a shit in the background of the shot"
@@jriemofficial983 never said I was. Sold plenty of smack and other shit but never made enough money to be a "big timer" who wants that kind of heat anyway? I've known guys really well that caught fed cases, that's all I was saying. You really going out of your way to insult someone you don't know, must suck to have such a boring life....
Some guy claims he saw Tony drop a gun two years earlier and he took it and kept using it and now they are going to make this kid the star witness? That sounds weak as hell.
No, theres no guy.. its the kid in the beginning of this clip lol. It was 2 years later, kid got caught with drugs and the gun then to get off the hook he ratted tony out.
That absolutely sounds weak as hell. All they have is the word of a kid with coke trying to get his own charges dropped. Any lawyer would tear into that. Now, unless for two years something of Tony's remained on the gun (unlikely) like an absolutely perfect preserved fingerprint or something, I can't see how the hell the cops managed to get a warrant for this in the first place. They had to be really stretching it with a judge who hated Tony Soprano.
@@Supperdude9 You'd be surprised on how little a warrant actually matters when Feds invade your house, sometimes they don't get warrants until after the raid and arrest, especially considering that this is right after 911. It's basically a formality.
watch his right hand he wasn't taking a dump he was pulling drugs from his bung hole. But absolutely agree about the scene !! i can hear beavis scream whooo that guy is taking a crap standing up
Too bad that gun charge ended up rolling into a RICO predicate, which meant Tony was going to be indicted after Carlo flipped, and most likely sent to prison.
@@oreganoo7882 Dude, have you ever been to court? Formal dress is a *requirement*, not an expectation. Regardless of how infamous you are, your still treated as innocent until proven guilty, and given time to change before proceedings. Despite the show jumping time ahead, he had at least a couple hours to prepare for court; they just don't arrest you and drive you immediately to the judge. These things have to be arranged. Ignoring all of that, he's a freaking Italian mob boss. Of coarse he's going to have a suit on at public events, even if he has to have shady guy smuggle one in for him.
I love how Janice is like “if you have hollow point bullets, in anything, take them out today“ First time I heard that me and my father both busted out laughing.
For the longest time, I thought you were talking about Meadow, who I wouldn't exactly say was smart enough to get away from the craziness (hell, it could be argued that AJ was more distanced from the life than she was), and I only just realised you probably meant Barbara.
AJ was pretty much worthless all his life and fails at the simplest tasks given to him. Imagine being locked up like that and the pants given to you have tomato sauce all over them. Unbelievable. Tony was right to not get snipped.
That would be sick if a series came out based on a illegitimate son of Tony he had with one of his goomahs. I know it's pretty much the premise of the horrible The Sopranos game they made about P*ssy's illegitimate son, but it would be better if it was Tony's son. Making his way up to the ranks, becoming a capo with nobody knowing he's Tony's son.
You can’t place all the blame on AJ though Tony and Carmela spoiled him rotten and didn’t teach him shit even if they had another son he’d probably end up the same way.
Honestly that whole scene just makes me laugh. The fact he just bolts the moment he sees the fbi, how casual he tosses the gun, the fall…..just *chefs kiss*
@@michaelsinclair8733 Carmella would’ve been stronger in the absence of Tony than Tony would be in the absence of Carmella. The show was meant to show the sociopathy of Tony and the mob life and how in that family Carmella was the glue. A woman who didn’t come from that type of family and who constantly tried to push wholesome values despite her husband. It’s all about contrasts in that show.
It’s weird.. you can possess HP’s in your home or business but you cannot carry a weapon loaded with JHP rounds (not that many people have CC permits here In New Jersey anyway). And if you are illegally carrying a firearm and it contains hollow points you will be looking at more jail time.
Hollow points are way way safer. Govt is outta control. They mushroom on impact and stop. So only your target gets shot. But the not the 2 guys behind him.
@Lawrence Weston Toilet would be the furthest from CO and there wouldn't be a TV in a holding cell anyhow. But I agree in the sense Tony didn't assert anything.
How exactly did he assert his dominance? Looks to me like he chose to sit in an area where he felt he’d hopefully be left alone or have the least interaction with anyone else. I didn’t see anyone in there cowering in a corner because Anthony Soprano walked in.
Meadow wasn't going to go back to sleep but I bet AJ if he did wake up would have gone back to bed when Carmela said that. He probably didn't even want to go down to the court. ROFL
Alot of police departments weren't even allowed to carry hollow point ammo until the mid to late 90's. They used to do surprise inspections of my dad's service revolver to make sure they were only loaded with factory semi wadcutter ammo. He worked the beat in a slum and people were complaining about the damage 357 magnums done to perps.
@@jonnybirchyboy1560 no it wasnt. There's more to this clip with the FBI pissed at the local sheriff;s dept for fucking up a potential case against Soprano because of this stupid yet beatable gun charge.
''Is this it?'' when they are knocking on the door always struck me as a 'wow' statement. Just having to live that life and knowing that the end for your husband is only one of two, dead or in jail. Like she was anticipating one of those two, maybe Im looking into it too much but the 'Is this it?' line was heavy for me.
Too funny hearing Meadow comment about the "show of force" used by the police. Apparently she's never seen her dad's "show of force" while he beats the hell out of somebody or shoots them through the head. LMAO!
I wanted her to be the one to take Tony down...there should of been a storyline where she heard Tony confess to knowing of how Jackie Jr and Adriana were killed. She would of turned on him without thinking twice.
At this point the shinebox line makes no sense and is so played out it destroys the authenticity creativity of mob talk. Va Fangools I stuff my muthafuckin socks with provalone at night so they smell like ya sista’s crotch in the morning. Buncha Sean Gismontes’ and Matthew Bevilaquas’ OVA HEAAA
Shinebox and shoeshine references are for Goodfellas videos and where someone in the Sopranos is "breaking the balls" of the various mafiosi and then gets savagely murdered.
One little detail I appreciate about this scene is the loudness of the gunshot at 0:43, how you can hear it echo for several seconds afterwards. Just adds some more immersion into the scene!
That's the way they REALLY sound. So many people have NO IDEA how loud they are because they've only watched movies. Particularly in countries without a lot of guns
@@clifffff7630actually The Sopranos has really bad sound effects and authenticity when it comes to guns being fired on the show, and I appreciated that too. Your comment was odd to say the least
@@camerontoy8154 they didn’t arrest the gardener they just threw him to the ground securing the area.IF Tony had stuck around they would’ve done the same with him.
They weren't coming for him, but they would've found the hollow point loaded gun and then charge him separately for that. He'd be fucked, no way out of that one
This was a magic gun. When Tony tossed it, the gun's shape and the outline in the snow looked like something akin to a Sig or perhaps a S&W, or even a Glock. When the kid fished it out of the snow, it was a Beretta 92, which has a very distinctive shape.
for real, being realistic because they are exactly like that. I felt so sorry when I discovered that you passed away, irony of fate, in my country, in Italy. Rip James you'll always be in my heart.
Damn your right!! I knew there was something different about the way Tony says "I don't know" about the coffee In this one, it's like "I don't know, I might not have time" and in the first version, it's more like "I don't know, it might give me diarrhoea right now"
I love when criminals to try to negotiate with the police. "Oh, sure. We'll ask your neighbor about your husband's heart condition, and if he confirms it, we'll just drop the charges and leave. Thanks for letting us know!"
Surprised after seeing this scene a few times through the years, Tony didn't have a camera/surveillance system set up with perimeter around the gate /back of the house
Tania Marie he was goin thru GROWING PAINS lol... and he GREW UP towards the end. New gf and new gopher job lol. Better then these soyboys nowadays, maybe that's what u meant? cause the pussies nowadays are LOSERS. Which means the parents are even worse.
"Was that all about humiliating dad" Love that question from Meadow because it shows how clueless she really is. Tony is a member of the mafia, with access to hit men, weapons, and more importantly, the will to kill people. Of course the police would come out in force for a potential flight risk and for a potential dangeours encounter
Not really. Meadow knew what was going on from the start. Before season 1 even. But much like Carmela she decided to act like she was ignorant to the facts because of her conscience. She was more critical of him but Tony later convinced the whole family everything nice they had in their lives was because of his crimes. To continue benefiting from it without feeling bad the whole family just ignores it.
Meadow was completely right. The show of force wasn't over a "flight risk" or "dangerous encounter", Tony would never assault a cop that'd send him straight to jail. The show of force is simply to humiliate Tony and remind him of the power that they hold
@@awges The man has tons of cash, he has multiple cars, and he has the connections to fly or drive anywhere at any time in order to flee. That's a flight risk to me. He also has killed and murdered dozens of people, so who knows what he could be capable of. A mob boss like that is also armed to the teeth, and who knows, maybe his gun-carrying underlings are there with him inside. If I was law enforcement, I wouldn't go in with one or two officers to arrest the most powerful mob boss in North Jersey responsible for dozens of killings These mob bosses, they are animals, if they panic, they could kill police, they could kill anyone they want to save their own skin
@@colechapman6976when the feds actually came to his house there was like 5-10. The police were making a show with turning up in numbers , just like the whole case was for show. Both tony and the police knew he wasn't actually going to prison for this. The chance of him actually killing a police officer is very low
@@KingDrako even the car Tony buys for AJ is similar to the one Jimmy has in GTA V (same color at least) we already had a Tony Soprano-like character before gta 5 and it was Toni Cipriani but the only resemblance with him was his body and his mother issues , also the fact that his own mother ordered a hit on Toni (just like in Season 1) but it thats where the resemblance ends
Carmella made me laugh here “What’s going on?” “Go back to sleep “ “He has a medical condition, the doctors right there ask him” 😂😂😂😂 she definitely went broke as fuck after he died
0:15 It is literally snow-white all around them - these men are in *dark blue* jackets, carrying rifles, behind no cover whatsoever - why are they tip-toeing around like they're on recon instead of an active man-hunt? I'm surprised they didn't even bring a dog.
Jesus Christ, Carmela and Meadow were so annoying and stupid in this scene with Meadow asking for the warrant "we have the right" and Carmela begging them to ask the family doctor if Tony is sick like they're gonna let him go or something if that was the case.
So Tony threw a gun with a bullet in the chamber and the safety off into the snow and some kid picked it up and put his finger on the trigger right away. Talk about gun safety violations!
And has the nerve to look surprised when it discharges. Well, you picked up a loaded firearm with a live round in the chamber with the safety off, genius; what did you think was going to happen when you SQUEEZED THE DAMN TRIGGER?
Yeah kind of a little charge that after watching the ending scene can be easily overturned. Like even if they could prove it was Tony gun they couldn’t prove that he had put the hollow point bullets in and not the kid who found it and has been using it for 2 years.
@@mysteryjunkie9808 Yeah, practically impossible to prove he ever possessed that gun since I'm sure Tony Soprano doesn't buy guns the legal way haha. But regardless, hollow point ammunition is the standard carrying ammo. Why is this guy acting like they found a grenade in Tony's truck lol
