After three weeks of absence caused by my last traumatizing treasure hunt, I finally came back to the forest. My goal was to start somewhere else and move towards the place where I found two 1600’s silver coins. When I arrived at my destination point, I’ve chosen to move on as I wasn’t feeling comfortable close to a hiking path. This is a case of preferring peace over finds.
I then continued detecting in a modified area with a lot of young trees. Finds were few and far between, but at one point I happen to place the coil over a silver coin. It was a small and very thin “III Kreuzer” from 1811. A nice surprise and probably the highlight of this hunt, along with two badges from walking sticks.
But the most important find for me was a tree with a heavy duty string wrapped around. As the tree grew, it was unable to expand due to this nasty, tight obstacle that literally chocked it more and more as time passed by. When I was able to remove it, the noise it made sounded like freedom. After all I hope that at least this gave this outing a meaning.
I hope you enjoyed this adventure.
Thanks for watching!
