I'm disappointed that "Five Nights at Chucky-E-Cheese: Rebooted" wasn't mentioned. Seriously that game nails the feel of working at a Chucky's location back in the late 70's, although I'm not sure if it was made by the same guy who made the original, but it's definitely better than it by a long shot

I think it would be cool to have a remake of this video in the future, but just less rushed and more researched. I've seen a lot of people in this comments section bringing up some really good points about details you've missed and entire games you didn't mention that were related to ones you did. If you ever take a second look at FNAW I highly recommend the third game, it’s incredibly unique, and all the generic problems with the first two, are almost completely gone

I'm actually surprised that they never mentioned Dayshift at Freddy's and the dating game franchise. Yes, someone turned FNAF into a dating game series, and the first one is genuinely hilarious. Both of these are, but Dayshift can get a lot more inappropriate. So just be prepared for that, if you plan to play or watch it.

This video is pretty flawed honestly. You clearly spent too little time with games like Popgoes, and outright got some details wrong or just barely acknowledged some of them. Also you make a big deal at the end about seeing how much the creators have grown and improved, yet you didn't even bother mentioning the later FNAW games. There are a lot of more high quality fan games out there, but over time FNAW got better and started becoming its own thing, Origins and 4 in particular are really cool, 4 has some unsettling moments and Origins has some pretty unique gameplay. I was hoping to see those get mentioned, but instead you just clown on the first one because haha funny Google Images horror game. That's like the lowest hanging fruit possible. I appreciate the lesser known fangames getting a chance in the spotlight, I was really happy to see Porkchop's Adventure getting some attention, but from your description it didn't even sound like you played it, Dawko did a better job at explaining how it worked. If you're going to do a big video like this then you have to actually commit to it and not just brush off some of the games. This video isn't terrible or anything, but it felt like more of a bare bones showcase than anything. It needed more time, or maybe just don't talk about games you've only played for 5 minutes and focus your time on a smaller selection with more detail. There are better FNAF fangame videos out there.

Nice job stating there are mechanics in games where they aren’t and not playing past night one on over half of these, the sad thing is is that I love your content but dying on night one at 1 am on Popgoes and saying it’s bad isn’t a review, it’s being frustraited and quitting. I respect your content still, but please don’t say you have done a review when you died at the tutorial

While, yeah I did enjoy this video and the cameos were great, I don't really think you gave some games a fair shot... like, I won't even go into the whole "you only played 5 minutes of this game" debacle that everyone is talking about on Twitter, but I don't think there's the need to be so critical of fan-games that you can just get on GameJolt for free... You even seemed way more critical of games like PopGoes than stuff like F**boys... Furthermore, these aren't big ass corporations... most of these games were either done by one person or by a small team, and instead of giving out constructive criticism, you just sort of said some really negative stuff and that's it... At the end of the day, it's your opinion and I'm still a fan of your work, but I just wish you could have given out some more constructive criticism instead of piling on negative stuff...

I'm surprised you didn't talk more about One Night at Flumpty's 2, aside from just showing some very brief footage. Was there really nothing else to cover? You get to make a bird smack its face on vent covers.

As a note, Five Nights At Warios was made by an adult. A RU-vidr called WwwWario. Edit: I don’t see the problem with Popgoes having the several mechanics. For me it’s one of the only two fan games that I’d consider to have any tension because of that fact (the only other reason is The Joy Of Creation because of the fact that you have to rely a lot more on sound than most fnaf style games).

I agree while the first five nights at wario's game is not the best and is a bit on the generic side, WWWwario really put a lot of effort into the series recently, especially with the newest game, five shows at wario's, with the best gameplay mechanics I've seen in years for any fnaf fan game, so just talking about the first game doesn't give a good light to arguably one of the best fnaf fan games series

POPGOES giving off too much info to the player was the reason why Kane rebooted it in EVERGREEN. Plus, Evergreen POPGOES resembling Freddy was intentional, his hat was taken from the OG Freddy via the Fnaf 3 auction. EDIT: unlike mark, it only took me 10 minutes on the POPGOES wiki to figure out the game mechanics. Yes, the mechanics aren't OUTRIGHT explained to you.

As a person who made their own FNATI fan game... *You gave any fnati fan game too much credit* Oh... Five night's at wario... Actually uses a model viewer of Smash Bros Melee. The developer is a guy by the name of WWWWario, and I definitely think this video lacked research after hearing the way you talked about it... not because it was good, but because the developer made several sequels of increasing quality as the first one was their first dive into point and click games.

Why even write reviews for popgoes and fnac you played like 5 minutes each of them

Though my memory might be rusty, I remember following the development of 5 nights at warios. It was by this youtuber, I think named wwwario, who was making the game at first to make fun of all of the shitty fan games coming out at the time. I remember him trying to make the game have its own thing going though, even if its a shitpost first and foremost. He hid a bunch of stuff in there too. I remember briefly following his development on the sequel, and I recall him improving on everything by 10 fold. Never played the game personally, but Im sure mark could have wasted a couple hours to do more research and actually play the games hes condemning. edit: briefly looked back on the series, and apparently there are a ton of 5 nights at warios games and spin offs, going from a shitpost game to something that genuinely has alot of effort and heart put into it. Sad to see Mark go from "dont judge a book by it's cover, try everthing out" in one video, and then not even play the games hes talking about in the next. Hell, even researching said games would make more sense then just watching gameplay of the game and being like "yeaae, thiss gaem is shieet XD"

A little fact about FNAW While admittedly the first game is the weakest, it’s sequels only grow in improvement, with new and unique mechanics each game (story could use some work tho) Also the dude who made these games (from what I heard) isn’t a kid.

the criticism for five nights at wario's seems incredibly unjustified. while the original game was pretty unoriginal with its presentation and gameplay, it should've been given similar levity to treasure island. plus you hardly did research into the rest of the series or wwwwario, the developer. then you say its worse than five nights at sonic's which i just straight up can't agree with. judging by other comments it seems this video was in development for a while and other games got similarly skimmed over. i understand rushing a video out but your content greatly benefits from a more thorough playthrough like your first fnaf video.

The fact that they didn’t mention Dayshift at Freddy’s is a crime. I know this fan game changed the theme from horror to comedy, but holy shit that trilogy is pure gold, the characters, the soundtracks, and the story. However what stands the most for me is the writing, masterpiece.

Animation at the beginning is great, but I feel like you didn't even do any research on any of the games. You just either downloaded it without any research, or seemingly watched a video of the game and say that it was bad. I feel like you could have actually researched the games rather than either playing or watching a stream of the game and without giving any thought put in to it, and just saying its bad because you just want to find a random game and say its bad without playing it.

I usually enjoy your videos, Mark, but this video is honestly a miss. I feel like you should've spent more time on some of these games rather than just dunking them for visuals, but judge them for their gameplay instead. The whole "looks like MS Paint!" schtick is quite repetitive. You also got some info wrong too, like when you said Five Nights at Wario's might've been made by a kid when really it was made by a grown man. You need to brush up on your fact checking a bit. Looking forward to the next video, but I just hope you take this stuff into consideration.

I want to make clear that I haven’t personally played the game, but I don’t understand how Popgoes is too complicated. At first it may seem that way, but so is FNAF 2, 3, or 6 when you first play it. You just need to learn the mechanics, like any other game. What I remember from watching RU-vid videos, the mechanics are the following: Popgoes: He will travel to different rooms with 3-D printers to print a part of a Bonnie animatronic. Once he prints 5 parts, you die. All you have to do to stop him is to turn off the camera he is in. That’s it. Heck, when you look in the cams, I think he looks at the room he goes in. The Badger dude (I can’t remember the name): If he leaves his room and is in your room on the left, go to the camera he is usually in. There should be a color in the camera that corresponds to one of the buttons on the desk. Press the corresponding button to stop him. As long as you are paying attention, you shouldn’t die. I guess it’s just too complicated to press one matching button. Squirrels (Still don’t remember names): The Squirrel Sisters will enter the vents when they leave the room. If they get to the vent above you, they take your phone and leave you to die. All you need to do to stop them is to just keep tabs on them and “heat” the vent they are in. If I remember correctly, there is only one vent path, which shouldn’t be difficult to check every once in a while. In my opinion, this is probably the most complicated mechanic. Even still, I would say every mechanic in FNAF 3 & 6 are more complicated than this. Panic: Panic is extremely easy. As you look at the cameras and animatronics, your panic goes up. To make it go down, just look out the window on the right. Sooooo complicated. The only thing that “complicates” this is… The Crow: From what I remember, when your panic gets high, you start to have hallucinations of him in the cams. This makes your panic skyrocket. I believe he also appears in the window on the right, again making your panic skyrocket. To counter the hallucinations, just look out the window. Heck, the hallucinations might even be helpful because they sort of work as a warning saying, “Hey! Your Panic Is Too High!”. To counter the Crow in the window, just look back at your computer. If you need to lower your panic, then just look out the window again. To make it very clear, to stop the crow, you just need to look out the window or look away from him. That’s it. Summary of Mechanics: - Popgoes: Turn off the camera he is in - Badger: press the button that corresponds to the color on the camera he comes from - Squirrels: Keep tabs on them in the vents and heat the vent cam they are in - Panic: look out the window. Nothing else. - Crow (Hallucinations): lower your panic by looking out the window - Crow (Window): look away from the window. Look back if panic still needs to be lowered. Again, to be clear, I haven’t played the game and am going off of memory from RU-vid videos. I could be wrong. But if my memory is correct, then I gotta say that these mechanics are not at all complicated. None of them are entirely auditory, like FNAF 4, or use some sort of tool to lure them away, like FNAF 3 & 6. I’d say those sorts of mechanics are more complicated because you have to use the tools in a specific place, or listen for specific sounds that may be faint. I would also like to add that there are not too many mechanics to keep track of. There’s like only one more mechanic than FNAF 2. (FNAF 2: Foxy, Puppet, Mask || Popgoes: Popgoes, Badger, Squirrel Sisters, Crow/Panic) If I had to criticize the mechanics in Popgoes, I’d say that they don’t flow super well together. They’re kind of disjointed. The only two that connect together are the Crow and the Panic Meter. The disjointed mechanics can make it a bit more difficult to learn them, however, a more difficult learning curve DOES NOT mean the mechanics are more complicated. It may just take more time to get used to them. I’m probably wasting my time, since it’s been two months and it seems like Mark played the game for all of 5 minutes, then ragequit, but I still wanted to put this out there so that people understand that saying the mechanics are “way too much” or “complicated” is wrong. If I made any mistakes (either spelling or in the mechanics) please let me know in the replies. I can’t promise I’ll see them right away, but if I do I’ll make the necessary changes.

Please ignore the part where he talks about Popgoes, he doesn't know what he's saying. Also there is no vent in FNaC1. And TJoC has a different game play style every night, not just a bedroom. And Flumpty's 2 is way better then 1. And FNaSM doesn't have bad gameplay, it just had weird visuals. Keep in mind Mark played about 10 minutes of each game.

I do wish that Mark covered ONAF2 and especially 3 They improved the gameplay so much
