Wayne thee answer to the hinge for the chair arm is in your glasses!!! Take the hinge off a pair of broken/old glasses from the arm and the frame and there is your hinge to make the chair arm lift up and down. Hope this helps.

You're very fortunate to be able to visit and have others visit your shop to share your skills and compete in these challenges. Just a little tip for all the fans. These boards can be purchased WITH headers, so as to avoid all the intricate soldering.

This takes me back. Came out 23 years before I was born, but it's still a classic in my eyes. Also, I saw on the eBay listing that it's 1:8 scale, not 1:6. 😉 The figures are 1:6 scale for some reason or another, maybe to not make the time machine look too small I would guess.

Wayne don’t know if you ever saw my how to flock video on my channel when I was flocking floor pan for delorean. I honestly think I gave a bit more info them some people do especially to make slightly different shades of same color flock blend for that weathered(also where your feet are) effect. Also the base color paint you use will effect the first layer of flock if you’re doing multiple layers like I’ve done. If you buy the flock get the smallest length flocking for multiple layered effect medium is still good if only using the one color. Looking forward to the next installments 👍

This build looks very interesting with some serious challenges. How did you get the wire fed through the side arm? Will all the modified pieces and, metal castings, and electronics be available for purchase so that others can make ones just like yours. I am curious how the shaft and gear arrangement will work out for the motor driving the large wheel. Also, how the center point can be stabilized to prevent wobble and vibration.

All that is in hand except for the center point and wobble. We are hoping its minimum but Lou has 3D printed a disc if it’s too bad. Yes the coding will be available once finished. I just want to ensure everything works as it should before releasing to the world. The back engineering for this disc is achieved by a vertical motor connected to 90 degree bevel gears in a turned metal housing. The side arm wiring comes that way. It can be made on request from Mikes Model kits. We will however need to channel a further 4 wires to the back. We are still figuring that one out too. Everything will be available once we know it all works.

It's ironic that I just got finished reading H G Wells The Time Machine. One of my all time favourite books. It's interesting to see what his mindset of what the future would be like in 1890s. The 1960 movie was good too and his great-grandson directed the 2002 version. Interesting trivia there.

I would have to stick with a static model - unless it is a kit that comes with the electrics, I've never done a mod that involves adding the electrics to it after the fact. You mentioned the DC-3 kit at one point, what is the status of that? I've not seen a video of that in quite a while.

That's an excellent price+it looks very detailed for that price as well. The last recent modern adapation i saw of the time machine was the version that starred Guy Pearce Jeremy Irons and the sadly Samamtha Mumba who passed away afair while back somtime in the early Noughties that the film game out

Hello. First of all, a compliment for this great video. I have a question about the electronics? Is there a list of the components that were used? Which potentiometer, which resistors and is it possible to get the code for the Arduino Nano? I printed out the time machine myself and would like to expand it into a functional model. I would be very pleased to receive an answer.

I actually used all generic parts so it doesn't really matter what potentiometer you use as long as it fits. All the leds were pre resistored to so I didn't have to worry about that. The coding is in a link in the video description.

really in joying this build. I have the 1/6 time machine model kit too but my is the master replicas kit but iam going to start building my too and links or information links were to get parts today build the lights and motor and nano Arduino program in love how your showing how you do the detail of building this kit information where the flocking materials and how the flag would be greatly appreciated too. can't wait to get started on this project alone with you guys

Can you please release the Arduino code and can you please list parts used such as what Arduino board was used, switch/potentiometer, LEDs motor. Maybe also links to where we can get the parts would also be cool. I intend on following you guys on this one and building my own. Also please can your guy's list where I could get the machined part/gears etc for the rotating saucer and will Lou be offering up the parts he made for the leds and his paint masks for purchase? Lots of questions on this one I know.

So , not one of you can fire up my machine .. By the way, official term of time machine is not time machine. It’s not a machine as per say a engine... To say Wells ,this to say like Ford . But with modified parts added . The shell is all Ford , but the engine and other components are Wells and Tesla and Franklin. Why don’t you ask me how to fire up the time machine...
