Power is nothing without control. This sub frame, suspension arm plus anti roll bar improvements really delivers the goods & helps to make the most of your recent tuning upgrade......great work!! 👍🔥
All very well and good having a massive amount of power, but you need to control it. Uprating all the underneath bits is a must and it makes a world of difference. I even run a full set of polyurethane ECS engine mounts on a MK6 GTI I had a few years ago and it took a lot to bed them in as at first the cabin noise was awful but once broken in it was one of the best mods I had done. I was running Superpro controls arms etc and it just planted all the power straight to the road it was ferocious!
You should add a discount code I've just calculated the whole cost, not bad to be fair subframe around 100 of ebay in good condition. All the white line parts come to around £1500 add a discount code for %10/15 that would make a difference.
Id agree the wishbone bush is the cause of the wheel hop, gti bush has voids in it whereas tt ones dont and they dont hop nearly as much. I think people go for the dogbone because its cheaper and easier
Only just caught up with this video! Though, I’ve already seen you sold it via your insta already. Sad to see it go so soon, would of loved to see you take the GTI for a spin on a track. You did so much handling upgrades, would be nice to see how she performs. Maybe compared to stock version or even a track ready car. But! As always love the work that you do! Looking forward to the next project you jump onto! 😁
Insane!!! Well done Hamza. I definitely need to invest in those upgrades for my car. Thank you for the awesome content. I always look forward to the top quality content. All the best from South Africa.
I just did the dogbone mount upgrade on my K04 Mk6 GTI that was suffering from wheel hop after the upgrades, I have to admit for what I've done the dogbone mount alone took care of the issue and like you said, you feel like it's a lot more direct from the pedal. I can imagine the bushings and control arms can only be of benefit, especially at higher power levels. Nice video, appreciate all the info
What a cracking channel, informative, honest and a sprinkling of humour! Going to have fun tricking up my mark 7.5 performance pack GTI. Cheers Hamza lad.
I've got a Mk7.5 GTI with a stage 1 remap so it's at about 315hp and the wheel hop is insane, so this is great to see, getting a dogbone mount installed next week so we'll see how that goes, great vid brother
@@richardtaylor7411 Got it done by the guys at RTech performance, awesome bunch of guys, they do all the maps custom to your car and also how you want to drive it, not just generic maps and they specialise in VWs and Audis so would recommend. Have definitely noticed a big difference even just on the stage 1, the car is a lot more aggressive now, love it
@@theyogmaster1091 great thanks very much buddy appreciate you replying. I’m probably only aiming for stage 1 so not sure whether to do intake or just forge elbow and k&n filter 🤷🏻♂️
The Powerflex full dogbone insert was enough to get rid of wheel hop in most situations for me with ESC/ASC on...has to be full beans for any to happen then. With it in Sport or ESC off, wheel hop is non-existent. Standard VAQ diff, stage 2 power, and 255 wide Indy 500s for a bit of context. I have been considering getting those LCAs though for that extra caster and tighter steering. Nice vid!
Crazy awesome. Honestly, to top it all off, I think this thing should get kw clubsport coilovers. Yes, extreme expensive but.. From what I've heard, if you've had/driven kw v3, it makes your v3 feel broken in comparison.
Wow, seriously awesome upgrades in this video! That's a sweet Aluminum upgraded subframe from an Audi with those nice control arms and dog bone is huge upgrade. Going to the engine mounts next I suppose? Most the shops I talked with didn't want to upgrade the control arm bushings on my MKVII and I only have 26K I guess they don't have a hydraulic press or something? I'm still debating on going with the Bilstein setup you have but I don't know since your bottoming out?
The harder or stiffer roll bar promotes witch end of the car rotates faster on the "Y" axs .. So I would think if you stiffen the rear roll bar that would promote oversteer , and soften the front for grip. IjS Nice vid tho.
I want a 3 door, black Golf GTI with Sunroof.... this is way out of my budget but great to watch anyway. Unless you fancy selling it to me for 10 bags 😂
Hello hamza, i watched all the videos of the golf u did, i have a question for my self, i have a gti and its stage 1 tuned but when it goes high rpm the turbo whistles a little bit, u think its a bad thing or the tune did that?
