Exactly, they all think she crashed out of them outtta no where. You should have seen the things they were commenting on her body, her hair and image. Apparently they didn't expect artists have feelings and emotions too.

This is why an artist like Beyoncé is important. People always complain about how she doesn’t talk to us, or show us any love, like as if that’s her job. Artists are here to make music, not be our parasocial best friends. To get to know Beyoncé, you have to use her art, which is the point of being an artist. Now look at y’all favs getting sued 5 million dollars for joking around with y’all 😂

It’s mostly social media. You have access to celebrities in a different way than when you only saw/ heard from them through magazine or tv interviews. Celebrities should be able to use social media like the rest of us without the entitlement that’s forced upon a them.
@tripleohcee
@tripleohcee 18 дней назад
Definitely social media! The access we have to them now is crazy.
@sablemuse
@sablemuse 18 дней назад
Disagree, if they want to use social media like the rest of us, make a private finsta for your real friends and family. It’s one thing to use social media for promotion. That’s how celebrities should be using it IMO. But using it to beef, post subs, and be messy on live, is not it. I miss when you had to read/watch an interview to hear from celebrities themselves. There’s no mystery anymore. And in Nicki’s case, the public liked her MUCH more before we really knew her.
@tripleohcee
@tripleohcee 18 дней назад
@@sablemuseAnd I think the concept of a secret/finsta account for celebs is something many are prob doing. Twitter always jokes about that with Bey and her burner accounts. 😂 The beef and subliminal shots ruin the fun of it.
@ashleybanks_x
@ashleybanks_x 18 дней назад
@@sablemuseHeavily agree with the second paragraph. Part of the excitement with celebrities was the mystery and elusiveness. It was something to look forward to and built genuine interest in them and what they were working on. I do agree to a certain extent about social media being used for promotion and the brand, but they should still be able to post whatever personal stuff they want as well. Whether we agree with the personal things they share or not. We as the consumer/ supporter always have the choice to continue supporting or not.

It’s very weird how stans will talk about these women, bringing up their kids, their bodies, their pasts. I’ve seen people wish disgusting things on literal children over a stan war! There’s also a huge problem with gay men (not all, of course) being disgustingly misogynistic to whoever they don’t like. It’s weird and I wish people didn’t get so caught up in this sort of thing.

Being a fan of your favorite artist is one thing. Ok you support their music your show love online and stuff ,ok. But then there is the extra level of fans ..and to me are the barbs …they do WAY too much. Maybe it’s me and internet wasn’t as big when the beehive was doing things but I don’t remember it being as bad as the barbs

I'm 17, I've never felt so close to a celebrity to this extent or at ALL really. Like sure, I'm tapped in on their latest project, album, whatever they premiered in via the news (perhaps it's the way I was raised). I feel like social media has really made these celebrities, in a way, very accessible to them. Even the ones that don't be on social media (ex: Beyoncé) can have fans like these. I don't believe celebs should just not interact with their fanbase (i.e., they say Bey is a robot bc she doesn't do this besides her concerts and scripted videos) but I do believe at some point, it's best to leave your fanbase alone for a good while since it would lead to stuff like this, in Nicki's case.
@tripleohcee
@tripleohcee 18 дней назад
Beyoncé is such a great example too. Because although she is not online, fans still feel so connected to her. I def feel like if they choose, celebrities should use social media to interact and engage. But at some point.. practice boundaries.

lol I’m sorry but the barbz and stan pages back in early twitter started all of this. Barbz in 2017-18 set the precedent for what a fan is. No fan base were doing blackouts, planning streaming parties, doing the extreme promo that barbz do for her. They take the twitter barb lingo. I understand beyonce is beyonce but beyonces fans don’t really shake nothing online. Barbz, Swifties, and BTS fans are the ones everyone copies

It’s social media + celebs + Society as it stands. It’s a perfect storm. People need parasocial relationships for comfort and emotional regulation. Plus a lot of Gen z have grown up on social media and don’t know how to act right. I started using instagram when it came out in 2013 when I was 10/11. (21 almost 22 now). However, The celebs def play into it. Miss swift comes to mind immediately. Nicki def nurtures her relationship w her fans bc it deeply benefits her. A lot of these celebs wouldn’t be nothing without their fans. But they also don’t owe anything to their fans. Chapell is 100% valid in feeling uncomfortable because of stalking. Every celeb has a stalker. Small celebs do! It’s just part of being famous. Stan twitter is a cesspool of insanity and disgusting fanatic behaviour. I try to seperate myself from parasocial relationships as a whole. But I have them with my fav small creators. It’s inescapable.

Nicki never, ever checks her fans. And everyone knows barbz are the most most unhinged fandom. It’s all about balance. Give your fans some love and validation to keep them supporting you. But also, make sure to keep them in check and don’t indulge all their crazy worshiping of you and evil antics towards other artists/fan bases. Nicki is definitely not interested in the latter. In fact, she has egged a lot of craziness on in order to suit her interests.

Good evening: Stan culture is very very crazy. So crazy 😜 ppl get so obsessed, with their fave artists. Relax it ain't that serious. It's fine to love your favorite celebrity, but getting so extremely close like yall family is odd. Alot of these celebrities, don't like you like think they do. And don't care for you at all. Sometimes it's a portrayal. Basically a act. Stan culture is getting wayyyyy outta hand. It didn't used to be this way back then. Good lawd...!!
@pastelvampxoxo5625
@pastelvampxoxo5625 2 дня назад
It's all three in my opinion. Also I feel like the stans that hold other stans (that aren't from other fanbases) accountable almost always do it when it's convenient. They're hardly around when someone is being disrespectful and downright hateful and it gets tons of likes and positive support despite how negative the message is, but when they make the news they all of a sudden want to start separating them from the main fanbase.
@tylerhartman3034

Im sorry but i dont feel sorry for Nicki because this is what happens when you constantly interact with yours and encourage them to behave as if they actually know you! Give it a few years and it'll be studied how weird Nicki's relationship is with her fans she is the prime example of a celebrity that encourages her fans to be more and more parasocial and to carry out this almost cult like behavior! Honestly its pretty disturbing in my opinion
@Luvme4life
@Luvme4life 16 дней назад
Um, its not just her fault though. Nicki literally gives out gifts and goes on stationhead which is nice, and I like that, and yes, fans are going to act wild but not feeling sorry is crazy. Because all she wants is to show her love for the barbz for getting her this amount of fame, not to just lay back when something like this happens
