To be honest I was on the hype train when this game released but I played it for only two weeks then just gave up.

I love the gameplay this year and we have server problems every year, the thing that annoys me most is the lack of stuff to do 2 weeks in. For the Twitter people why are they using personal accounts, EA help took hours to tweet out about the server problem. They need a complete reshift at the company, the openness about icons and SBCs at the begining of the year was great but that has gone now

Nep very clearly and eloquently put, overall on your comments: - The technical issues are a basic glaring issues that should have been ironed out. As you alluded to in a previous post there must be some real underlying issues that may be holding up some features. Specifically since the Ndombele release and player pick pack SBC they've held back which i think does mask deeper issues. - The basic human mistakes are forgivable but nonetheless disappointing in a multibillion dollar business that should have multiple check points. From my perspective the biggest glaring issue is again the pace and the 1 depth merchants: - Pace In Defending - the change to the words Def Awareness are massive but have no bearing on defensive positioning hence why change the term??. Pace should be a factor but not override the ability of a player to be in the right place defensively as attack positioning in the other side of the game. Players like pique who should be in people's teams because of his actual ability are being ignored for two out of 29 stats which is nuts. - 1 depth merchants - This is just of a product of the game in how it is made, you indicated one of the people you played had some tips on how to overcome this can you share please. However not making some changes that put pressure to push wider game play in attack that would overload the full back issue and encourage more adventurous play is again lazy Just two final points that i will leave here .. 1)There have been some clear changes to the secondary contain which by down grading enhances the drop back method that makes the playing experience 2) "Strength will be enhanced" - what if target men were actually used? players like giroud where they use strength to create space would provide the community with more styles of play and again vary people's teams and negate negative tactics Awesome content as ever and well delivered to boot - thank you for your hard work in this community

In regards to the "Apply Recommended Consumable" on the wheel, it does show other stuff, like position changes, if the player is out of position and has like 20+ on the contracts. It can also show player stat boost consumables.

This video is a very good insight into the problems of Fifa 20 and Nep gives good solutions which would fix them. Biggest shame is that EA will not take any of this constructive criticism on board and we will be left to continue playing this unpolished game.

I try and do heel to heels a lot but when it doesn’t register I panic and just button mash

Right stick skills work probably about 50% of the time maybe 75% at a push but the weird thing is that normal button skills work so im not sure whats the problem

Great video Nep, Squad battles changes are great and they made playing against the team of the week relevant, but they didnt go far enough. you can play on beginner, bang in 5 goals and put the controller down, this would get you elite 3 rewards for not playing on the easiest level. (I play on legend and get elite 1). they need to restructure the rewards points and rewards in this mode. there either needs to be a reward between elite 1 and top 100 to reward those that only just miss out on the top 100 or they need to move the goal posts on points needed. I'm a bit disappointed that they removed offline seasons as once you got into div 1 you got some reasonably good rewards for doing it. I also think they need to link fut champs results with rivals division placement, this would help to stop players purposely relegating themselves for 'easy wins' which happened a lot last year.

I experience basically all of the problems you described, the problem with the game not registering you pressing pass or using the analogue stick to do a skill move is terrible for me and puts me in a situation where I don’t know what to do as the the player I’ve tried to put a ball through to is now offside and I’ve missed the opportunity to go through on goal.

I had button delay yesterday, 4 games in a row, try to awitch to defenders and it would take a few seconds and them it will switch to the wrong player because as you were waiting for it to switch, your players would move around, the worst part of it all is that even if you tried to prove that you had these issues going on you cant because the game is screwed, amd when you get lag, you expect your playsation to record exactly how ot happened in front of you, but it doesnt, its so weird

Anyone else experience this: heel to heel when i do mcgeady spin, ball roll make the player push the ball either right or left, a player shoots the ball when i fake shot, a player doesnt shoot the ball on a open net?

The thing i love most about fifa is skilling and trying to beat defenders 1 on 1 and i just cant do it... The skillmoves just do not work

Very unnecessary removal of single player seasons, was useful for players that run out of PlayStation plus/Xbox live and wanted to make coins

The thing is they hold back some ideas. One takes time to implement them into a game. An they need to keep it fresh every year to sell the game,so they roll it out slowly over time

Sometimes when I complete some objectives and i go to Collect my season progress reward it disconnects me from ultimate team and when I log back in I don’t have the XP that I have just earned but it says I have completed them. Can anyone help me?

Everytime i come up against a team with the same player as me either one of those players glitches out of position so EA please fix asap as i don't want my defender playing cam/st and having no defender back to defend very weird glitch

Hi Nep, hope ur well, hope the family is good and healthy, loving the vids at the moment. I agree completely, the fact that we are less than two weeks into the game and it feels as if the game cycle is coming to an end is unacceptable. The fact that we literally have to beg EA for content, which would in fact improve business for them if they just gave us content, is crazy. I'm a semi-casual player and I play champs and rivals and squad battles and my team is reasonably good, and the fact that I can't be bothered to even open the game on some days cos I know there will be no new content whether that be sbcs or objectives or something surely has to say something and the fact that EA have probably heard the complaints yet continue to give us kit sbcs and stuff like "Strong Start" honestly leaves me speechless and is 100% a new low for EA. The way they don't even communicate with their own fan base and player base absolutely baffles me, even if they tell us "look we may not release content this evening because there has been a technical issue on our side we apologise etc" the fact they leave us guessing in a way is good for them but as a player base and fan base it's pointless to even play the game.

They should pick silvers that get upgraded to be an 84 so there’s more than the regular meta every year players. Ex Daniel James or st juste or the arsenal guy etc

Admittedly I’ve not bought fifa 20 and don’t plan to so this doesn’t impact me; but my WiFi in my uni accommodation past 2 years has been really poor and so I was never able to play games online. The only way I could play was on single player seasons or I’d play career mode. Find it disappointing that they’ve cut out a section of players with poor internet by needlessly removing single player seasons

17:40 Nepenthez please bring this up in a discussion video. The same point you made is very relevant to Squad Battles. Not everyone is good enough to play FUT Champs to a high level but Squad Battles can be a lot more accessible for people to play at World Class/ Legendary most games. I easily get Elite 1 every week, but the gap to top 100 is often 2x my score. They need to add more ranks to close the gap between top 100 and Elite, maybe a Diamond ranking.

The wheel interface is responsive enough, trying to apply a non recommended consumable requires me to re-enter FUT almost every time (i.e non-rare contract instead of rare)

I keep disconnecting from squad battles kicking me off of ultimate team when my WiFi is working fine

Hi Nep, I've been playing FIFA 20 since the day it was released and tbh up till now I've been enjoying the game. I'm playing on PC and honestly, something's that you are complaining about like the rebound goals and similar stuffs, I am not facing these at all and manual defending is hard yet in some cases powerful than FIFA 19 which I didn't play after last year November. I am although facing some difficulties with defenders blocking almost every half decent shots I take but that I think is probably more my fault that a game problem. In cases of the menu interface, I usually ain't a grinder so getting some rewards are hard for me and I agree a 100% with you that rewards from the season objectives can me more of a magnet than any other thing in FUT. Always love your content. Keep up the good work ❤

One thing that wasnt eluded to on this vid was the season xp glitch ? Ie me completing a level, going to grab my reward (pack/tifo) then being kicked out of ultimate team, the objective would still be completed but im now not level 16 or whatever, i now dont have the opportunity to ever gain that xp again, hands down the most frustrating part of this game for me.

GIVE US SOME DAMN OBJECTIVES EA

All these company’s, EA 2K especially, don’t give a f*** about what we think. The guys at the top just see us as money, they don’t care whether we enjoy the game or not or if we have problems with the game. As long as we are buying the game that’s all they care about.

Hey guys i wanted to know if we can do the friendlies objectives in couch play mode?

I have a super fast fibre internet connection and nearly every mafch I experience what I assume is button delay and I’ve never had it on any other fifa ever. I’ll click pass for example and the player will keep running for a second then will pass it, or go to shoot and delays the shot at least a second, it’s not necessarily costing me matches but it’s a big factor and I don’t understand why it happens

"most people who even semi-casual play this game will have completed the objectives" - Nep Mate, that is like 100+ games over a two week period. Most of us don't have time to sit down all day and "semi-casually" play 15 games a day which would take over 4+ hours. Lets not forget that most casual players aren't good enough to complete all challenges first try and may take multiple attempts. You seem to love bagging EA even though there is quite a large consensus out there that our loving both the gameplay and the additions that EA have made to Fifa 20.

ea has always missed it with ut since the start in 09 they need to employ someone who grinds the game for fun and spends hours on it

My Wan-Bissaka beat a winger to a ball and he ran across the player while I’m holding L2! Wth. I lost it. He’s suppose to take control of the ball, but instead disregards the fact that he’s defending 🤦‍♂️

One of the ways you can tackle pitfalls against the AI is knowing your own maximum "Difficulty Level" abilities matching up against the opponents. For example, my current rated team played against an 84 rated team on TOTW (TEAM OF THE WEEK) 4 and I chose Semi-Pro cause for one my rating wasn't matching up to the opposition and 2 the AI and EA servers would go to any lengths to try and screw anyone over. I know cause I had about half a year of it on "Single Player Mode" on FIFA 19 - Ultimate Team (Standard Edition) game were AI relentlessly go to ridiculous lengths to take out the fun element of FIFA gaming. The thing that has changed on "Single Player Mode" is that they only take into account the first 40 games you play in Squad Battles to determine your actual rank and rewards you achieve for that week.

Nep I just want to say your spot on my man. After I completed all the objectives for the first few weeks I just put my controller down and said I hope we get more stuff like the ndombele objectives and havent played much since. Great video and hopefully (but I hold a lot of doubts) we get the gameplay fixes you mentioned and just more to play for in general.

so true nep, i really feel the same way. EA need to react and make change really quick. I don 't they will do it, but I hope so. Also your idea of giving xp per game sounds Nice, just like in fortnite. They need to do the dame amount of levels weer you can earn special players, like you can earn special characters in fortnite. The tifo's, balls and banners you can compare to the flairs, sprays and trials in fortnite. Nobody wants them really bad, but you get something for reaching a higher level. I hope so Ea will respond quickly Thanks again for your video and I hope other content creators will follow and also game changers.

This game is just genuinely poor... It makes me feel like the last few weeks of a previous Fifa, I just don’t want to and don’t feel the need to play it.

Idk if anyone else has the issue when 2 players (either one of yours and one of your opponent or both yours) when they run into each other they just give up on the ball and/or kick each other while your opponents player targets the ball and goes through everything. My 2 defenders went for the same ball even though my lcb was the closest to it. Bounced off each other and to the opponents striker. Anyone else having that "I give up" issue?

Something that gets widely overlooked in the FUT community but that's completely OUTRAGEOUS in my opinion is that squads in quick play or career mode or anything offline weren't up to date until 2 weeks after release! (Rebic still at Frankfurt, Sanches still at Bayern, etc......)

How amazing would it be if they added a new cup/tournament style gamemode in FUT. EA can put various cups with different squad requirements that reward you with some sort of pack for winning the whole thing. To make sure people don't grind this mode rather than draft they could make it so you only get a pack the first time you win the tournament or maybe there's an entry fee of 5k or something. This would be a great, new addition.

Yup i experience unresponsiveness a lot, but I think there is input delay as well, I just don't think it always has to do with connection or servers. I see both of these in squad battles as well as rivals, have also seen it in play now mode outside of Ultimate Team so sometimes there are server issues or lag but most the time it just seems like something is wrong with the code.

Heading/Crossing is almost irrelevant this year. You don’t get a mixture of play styles

this guy literally says everything that's on my mind, so on point and the game hasn't been fun in years, winning or losing, stress.

I will say this, experienced some strange things already in the game. Saved a clip where I scored, but to dribble past a player upon receiving the ball, his entire leg went through the other leg as if trying to control the ball with both feet briefly, went through his leg like this - X. Just straight through it, no collision whatsoever.

Hey nep, I’ve just recently started to follow you on RU-vid cos you make perfect sense of what you say about fifa. Watching this video of what you have said about fifa20 is absolutely true. They’ve not really done anything at all with the platform, they had 12 months to think about putting new stuff in and really, it’s been shambles. Look I like how you can have that circle thing on a player where you can put in new contracts and stuff, that’s cool, it’s easier and quicker to do. But what I don’t like and like you said is that we can’t do much more on grinding out XP’s it’s rubbish .... also you’re doing a fantastic job, keep it going and I’ll be watching more videos from you in the near future and I hope ea will finally put the game into good use in the future.

I feel the delay on my controller but I believe that’s my fault due to using a day 1 PS4 controller but the unresponsiveness on skills is a real thing I cannot combine 2 skill moves with the current state I play at div 3 and gold1/2 in champs and this game is worse than the previous for error

I really don’t get why ea just make the daily objectives the exact same every day with the exact same xp reward. I’d love daily objectives to be a bit harder and get a 15k pack or something as the final rewards instead of 60xp

I love FIFA. I work a standard 9-5 job. I go to work, I'll grab a drink with friends, watch football on the weekends with them, and I play FIFA. I have ZERO objectives that earn me XP left to complete. ZERO. It is a Wednesday, in the second week of the game cycle, and I have completed every season objective that there is, and I am the very definition of a casual player. It is frustrating, that EA has essentially put a 'paywall' on the amount of XP and progress that I can make toward one of those storyline players. That, as Nep mentioned, isn't good enough to even get into my team. It is unbelievably frustrating that I WANT to play FIFA, but have nothing to gain from doing so.
