@@mich421apparently it can carry Aim-9L/Ms internally as it was leaked from a former pilot. Tho no photos exist. So it’s up to Gaijin if they will implement it. I mean they have given stuff that hadn’t have it before to buff it so i don’t see why they wouldn’t give the F-177 missiles so it can work in air rb. Plus F-22 leak could be tied with the F-177 with internally launched missiles testing
Depending on how Gaijin balances these stealth planes, they will either be completely useless, or ridiculously overpowered in ground battles and either way someone's ganna be really pissed! XD
You will have high altitude invisible planes at ~10.0 then it will be so broken it will either need to be removed or put at 12.0 where it can see Pantsirs and VT1s. Since we have dual battlerating system it should be much lower than 12.0 in air rb, possible 9.7 or something with air spawn.
It will be useless because in real life all stealth aircraft can be detected from less than 20 kilometers, in real life stealth aircraft are meant to remain invisible from long range, for penetration strike missions or launch long range missiles before the enemy can see and lock you, it will be usefull only in large maps especially in simulator, in ground RB will be useless because will already be detectable when it spawns at 15 kilometers
@@Maverick966 That 20km is a myth, the distance a stealth aircraft can be detected depends on a multitude of factors, angles, the radar looking at it, weather conditions, etc... those values are also very VERY classified. Gajin has free will to do whatever they want with the values, kinda like with the top tier MBT's, a lot of the numbers (not all) are guesswork
@@TheSmudge223 and thats good. they should use this to their advantage and make them good but not overpowered and not underpowered. imo they should do it with every vehicle in the game and maybe keep the values real only for sim but its their game so they manage it however they wanna(mostly poorly)
Still no eurofighter typhoon, or dassault rafale, even though both came out before the J-11 and j-10, which are both in the game. Truly Germany suffers with no eurofighter typhoon in particular.
If they added EC back to realistic then not only would the F117 have a niche, but so would all the other large bombers. But that involves effort, and we know how Gaijin feels about that.

you would spend like 10 min just flying to a base, drop your two bombs and fly back... And the enemy will never find you, and also just flys around doing jack shit. Idk if thats desireable
So the Nighthawk DOES get 2x 9Ms at MOST but they were never used operationally. This was soley so it could be designated F for Fighter and get around the UNs "no more building bombers" rule. The Su-34 gets a PESA radar and 8 R-77s. The Su-34 might unironically end up being a better missile buss then the Su-27SM. The Su-34 gets KH-36 cruise missiles that have a range of 120km. The F-15E gets GBU-39s. These have a range 110km. We are so cooked.
@@ZigaZagu Probably going off of the FPP Podcast ep. 72 where the retired F-117 pilot mentions that they could carry most of the U.S. arsenal at that time. Additionally, at 31:25 in the podcast, he mentions having a secondary role of shooting down Russian AWACS. This is probably about the closest we can get to knowing what the F-117 could carry without getting (yet another) classified docs on the forum incident.
new afterburners laugh at everything done yet in any game. We also finally have physically based rendering, real global illumination (brute force rendering) and true ray tracing (reflections and volumetric shadows, volumetric as CGI terms, not gaijined shells)

We have F-16s in the game, so we should have F-18s by now. But we don't. Gaijin is clearly not interested in adding planes in some kind of logical (much less chronological) order. They also took a long damn time to add the B-26 that they promised us in 2014.
@@tychoweidner379 At less than 20 kilometers will behave like a normal subsonic bomber carrying just 2 x 2000lb guided bombs, in ground RB its stealth will be totally useless because will be already detectable when it spawns
@@littletweeter1327 F16 still has a normal control surface plan. Its only issue is its hyper-maneuverability. The F117 uses ruddervators which cause issues for generic FBW/autopilot programs in other flight sims as well (not enough yaw-pitch separation).
Hopefully, Gaijin gives it a few good skins for if you don't like the all-black: An early F-117 FSD had a three-tone desert camo one point A few have tested all grey schemes
Premium probably because gaijin likes making all the cool vehicles premiums. (F-20, F-4S) If it was a niche variant, it would be a squadron vehicle. (Hunter F.58, F-5E FCU...)

3:46 SU 25 with KH 38 has been dominating according to people who play GRB, Russia has never really lagged behind in terms of CAS its just the US has so many options.
You can say that Gaijin sucks at balancing their game or that instead of adding new vehicles they should fix the ones already in the game but you can't say that their trailer sucks because they are just amazing

Imagine if gaijin made a new game mode called “drill” where there are awacs(player can fly the awacs and talk to teammates), unfathomably large maps (like real life) everyone spawns in a hangar and taxi to the runway, voice chat enabled, average match duration of 2 hours, aerial refueling, just overall pure realism
I remember in ace combat 4 that these things was used as fighters, so since im 20419% sure AC4 is historically accurate, you should definitely use it as a fighter 🥰
Patriot (and probably other SAM stations) might come in a SEAD mode, there are leaks hinting towards one. Of course also shown in conjunction with the Su-34 due to a somewhat recent IRL event between the two.
Hi Defyn, keep up the good work man! But the F-117 could carry 2 sidewinders, and in this config, the F-117A-1 OCIP could in fact carry 2 AIM-9Ms although I doubt gaijin will add them.
Fun fact, the reason they look like that is because the computers that existed when it was being developed were not capable of developing a smooth model that would be low observable. I have had the pleasure of touching one (that was flown in) , they are pretty cool.
Your right on the name but it's calling it a cruise missile is a bit of an overstatement It has no jet engine. It's basically a glide bomb with a booster motor. It will probably work like a long range jadam in game
it would be kinda cool if they used patriot AA to create map barriers you had to work together to destroy, giving planes without radar missiles some openings. knowing gaigin that's not gonna happen, but imagining it is nice.
It MIGHT get better engines, but the Strike Eagle initially came with -220 engines, the same ones as in the C, and the -229 later on. We’ll see what they give it.
That SU34-scene at the start... i could swear that there was an engagement in the war (oh sorry Mr. Putin: the 972-day special operation) recently where an SU34 (barely) dodged a patriot and we have the audio of the pilot. I'd like to see Patriot/S-400 (and their older counterparts) as a part of a reintroduced ARB EC (Air Realistic Battle Enduring Conflict). They'd be perfect for base AA in that context. I'd be ok with seeing older SAMs like them in regular ARB with much shorter ranges and worse tracking etc. but that could get dicey.
Just to lower manage everyone’s expectations.. stealth does NOT mean actual invisibility to radar. I makes it reduces the range Search Radar can find them, High frequency Fire Control Radar should still be able to see. 😅

We got the F117 before a propper German top tier plane 😂 I am curious though, and would love to hear you talk about it... of all the planes out there, what makes the F117 your favorite? You could make a whole series where you talk about your fav vehicles and how they perform in the game...
Everytime I'm about to unlock a top tier plane the next one comes out. Gaijin needs to either add the F-18 asap or chill so I can actually unlock the F-15 tree
Since the F-117 only carries bombs.. as a Sim player they NEED to fix the CCRP/CCIP bomb drop queue bug. In most jet's HUD it flickers/disappears from the HUD when trying to zoom in to see it. But I'm hella excited for it as a niche/roleplay jet to take out.
It occurs to me that I completely forgot that the F-117 isn't a fighter, and didn't ever carry air-to-air missiles. I suppose it technically COULD, or at least I've seen things that say it could, but Gaijin's implementation of this plane as nothing but a weird bomber would be kinda depressing. It would be even more sad than the Buccaneer.

Thoughts on patriots being at airfields with limited ammo to prevent getting smacked at airfield while resupply but without letting you just sit there to be invincible
Its gonna be balanced in ground rb Its invisible in radar and has guided ammunition but its limited by amount and the nature of aircraft So its best played like a super MQ-1 High altitude and using your good sights and guided weapons to strike highvalue targets you only get 2 bombs but they are almost a guaranteed kills both But it will take you some time to get into a position and reload Obvious counters are IR guided weapons and interceptors carrying such weapons
Fun fact: that whole exchange with the Su-34 pilots and ATC is real. Its from a recording of a Su-34 dodging a Ukrainian Patriot missile launch near Mariupol last year
