I am absolutely in awe with how emotionally gut wrenching it was to watch Hestia discover Iris’ body. The lack of dialogue, the music swelling as Hestia realizes what’s happened to Iris, her soundless panicked screaming… holy shit. I think the absence of character dialogue made the scene so much more potent! It made it easier to put myself in Hestia’s place when it came to her initial confusion; Hestia is blind, so we the audience temporarily go deaf, to better understand the dissonance and chaos she is feeling. Incredibly clever execution!

When Jackson was pinned I kept thinking about how awkward it would’ve been to just sit and grunt into a microphone

Despite Vivian being like an exact female copy of Ares and is just as harsh and manipulative as him, I still felt pretty bad for her when I saw her crying during Jackson’s rant. She’s been through hell herself. At the same time that doesn’t justify her being so cruel to the only person who was there for her after Iris’s death and before they met the thorns. I’m surprised that even Vixy and Vivian were shocked by Ares cursing Jackson by giving him that huge scar that could’ve blinded him for life. I don’t think they were expecting that to happen. Can’t wait to see what happens in the next episode.

I love how Vivvian starts to look more loke Aries as she spends more. Time with him.

I’m loving the relationship between Vixie and Vivian. Who knows? Maybe she will choose protecting Vivian over her blind obedience to Ares

Jackson absorbing and genuinely believing all the horrible things about him made me feel so bad :( I’m glad he’s finally out of that abusive environment, but it seems he still has a ways to go for recovery. Lucky he has Lunis to help him ^^ For his sake, i really, really hope he doesn’t chicken out on telling any details. Maybe he can be brought to a safer place where he can’t be so easily kidnapped, and spill the beans about everything. But something tells me that, for plot’s sake, he’ll keep the curse to himself until the battle, and then we’ll watch some truly interesting shenanigans play out from there…All I can do is hope for his safety. As for Vivian she can suck massive ass. Some things Jackson said seemed to get through to her, but with her general behavior right now, I don’t think it’s gonna do much.

I love this episode so much! To see Jackson not taking Ares’ crap is just amazing, what a great character man. I wasn’t expecting him to get cursed so soon, but I’m super excited to see where it goes! Also, the EMOTION in this episode looks so real, like Hesia crying and shaking Iris’ body just felt SO real! The sick smirks Ares had throughout the episode were great as well! And Lunis panicking and running after Jack when he was forced to leave just shows how great of a cat she is. Even if she couldn’t find him in time, she still chased after him and gave him a shoulder to cry on. I admire her so much. Apollo, too. Vixy also snapping at Ares and showing she doesn’t agree with all of his actions was great as well. It seems as if she truly does feel at least a little bad for Viv and Jack, and I wouldn’t be surprised if she starts, or has started to, regret helping kill Iris tbh. Seeing her try to comfort Viv was really sweet, too. Unfortunately, looks like Viv is desperate to try and excuse Ares’ actions and not accept that he truly isn’t a good cat. She just seems really desperate for a parental figure, and, while her actions are inexcusable, I do feel bad for her. Especially when she started crying while Jack was standing up to Ares. All of these characters are great, they feel so real and 3-dimensional. The art is amazing as always, and these episodes never disappoint!

Vixy’s empathy for Vivian is so beautiful and yet so tainted oh my god 😭😭 I love how this is written, the way Jackson is chewed up and spit out is such a rollercoaster

This episode was definitely the most amazing and brutal one I’ve seen in this series so far, the way Jackson stood up for himself and called out pretty much everyone on their wrongdoings was incredible. The way he was able to stand up to an evil, cruel, merciless, manipulative, psychopathic killing machine who so happens to be his father is one of the most powerful scenes in the entire reboot so far in my opinion. I don’t get chills often but today I certainly did. This episode was extraordinary in so many ways. So many ways.

(Cracks my knuckles tearfully) God I don’t even know how to start this one. This one hurts SO BAD which is even worse because I know things will only GET WORSE! Fuck! Fuck Alex making it so difficult to do my epic analysis comments >:’( God okay so, firstly, we have our first Rose appearance! Her new design is stunning and I love Collin’s voice for her! Their voice acting really carries the years of sorrow and regret Rose has gone through. And god, Hesia and Iris’ relationship hurts man. The way Hesia cared so much about Iris and was so utterly devastated that she couldn’t protect her hurts, and really proves that she did it not only because Rose told her too, but also because she deeply cared and worried about her. Seeing Iris feeling so much love for her children and wanting to protect them no matter what is absolutely heartbreaking. It makes me really wonder how Hesia felt about Jackson and Vivian when she found out Iris died. Anyway, Jackson time! (Immediately disintegrates) I won’t comment too much on his and Vivian’s relationship in this ep, but the tension between them is really thick, and you can tell that both sides are furious with each other. This episode also sheds a light on Vivian’s own internal conflict (but subtly!) If I were to describe her in one word at this point, it’s desperate. Desperate for Ares and Vixy’s approval, desperate to get away from the thorns, desperate to be strong, desperate for a parent. Ares offers all of this and Vivian is too blinded by her desperation and hatred of the thorns to see how he is playing with her. When Jackson lays the truth out right in front of her she cannot accept any of it, and breaks. She is too deep in this hole she was coaxed into, and now she’s digging her own grave. Jackson in this episode absolutely hurts. Dude gets ratioed so hard. He explodes at Ares, he’s been keeping his feelings trapped in order to sustain his and Vivian’s safety, but now it doesn’t matter to him anymore. He calls out every act of absolute bullshit Ares as pulled (excluding the one he doesn’t know about), is completely justified in all of it, and what does he get? Fucking Morbed. I really need to commend all the VA’s in this because this episode was BRUTAL AND THEY ALL PULLED IT OFF FLAWLESSLY. Devon as Ares is absolutely TERRIFYING, I would never ever want to be in the same room as that fucking cat. Soggy can not only snore, but also be absolutely enraged as Jackson, and like?? Personal message to Soggy but stop like actually irl crying just for this role? Ur making *me* cry. And then LUNIS. LUNIS. AAAAAAAUGHHHHHHH. The laugh was only the beginning. HER CRYING????? FUCK ME. Ary is able to sell Lunis near SOBBING and choking up and panicking and it’s all so believable and real and I felt shit. Augh I want to say Jackson is at his lowest point here, even though I know THATS not true, but I’m gonna say it anyway because this is his lowest point so far. The stress, anger, fear, sorrow all coming from Vivian and Ares just hits him all at once, and he can’t do anything but break. He is terrified of getting his friends in danger and is so heartbreakingly selfless. He gets abused so much and all he wants is Lunis and Apollo to be safe. That is really, *really* commendable. Just let him have a break, I think Apollo can help with that, who is the resident stupid ray of sunshine who only knows three emotions and I love him. Apollo is the light at the end of the tunnel. God bless him. Can’t wait for him to get fucked up too.

In the original version of this series Vivan was a monster right up until the very bitter end, she had no redemption ark or any qualities that would make you think she deserved one (maybe her daddy issues?). In this version, I appreciate that Vivan is a villain with even fewer good qualities, she betrayed her brother without a second thought, threatened his friends, and most of all, sided with Aries (yes, I know she did this in the original as well). She's much more cutthroat, with even more emotions. Even if she has redeeming qualities it seems she still has some humanity which makes this even better. In both versions, she didn't start with much humanity, but as it goes on you see her morals disintegrate, lines she's more than willing to cross, and cats she's willing to kill. It's interesting to see her psyche die little by little. Vivan is and always will be a multi-faceted villain. While I don't mind her dying as a villain and dare I say it's even more refreshing that way, I wonder what a redemption ark would look like for her, she's been the bringer of so much death I don't think she'd handle being good, nor would the Thorns be so accepting of her so easily. Vixie on the other hand, I would love a redemption ark for her, she's gotten so much better, and I love her character this time around. She isn't so much of a yes-woman this time and displays sympathy, and even she has more morals than Vivian. She's also someone I'm looking forward to seeing grow.

This episode was so good??? The writing, voice acting, plot, everything really! I’m really living for sassy Jackson. He’s just DONE.

I quite like the idea Lunis only woke up because the sound of Jacksons snoring strangely helps her sleep and Apollo? Nah nothing can wake him up, Lunis woke up when Jack stopped snoring and a different noise coming from vivian woke her up. Or she just happened to be awake ^^' with her gift its probably hard to sleep Idk its just a idea Also I choked a little when Jacksons problems started to crash down on him all at once and he just couldn't hold it back anymore, I felt that. Your work is so inspiring, thank you so much for this masterpiece

I really like Jackson, he can be too soft sometimes, but when it's a real danger he take his shit together. He love his sister, but if Vivian wants to deal with Ares and Vixy, so it's her desicion. I hope Thorns won't harm him because of that curse. Well, Lunas at least will be at his side. Great reboot series, can't wait for next part)

The VAs never cease to amaze me with their acting! They did such a good job in this very emotional episode. Jackson has gone through so much and needs a thousand hugs. Looking forward to more!

I nearly teared up at Hesia's reaction to Iris' death..! Gosh, that made me feel things. And poor, poor Jackson. Vivian's such a jerk, eugh, but I can't help but feel a little sorry for her too. Her actions are not to be excused, but I can see why she's hurting and how manipulated she has become.

I love Apollo. He doesn’t do anything specific in this video but I’m just saying, I love his name, his personality, his voice actor, everything about him is just a relief from the trauma. He’s so wholesome.

Alex, you are the only youtuber who has made me cry due to their outstanding original series. I am so proud and glad Jackson stood up to Ares the way he did - even if it ended badly. This is a great message to everyone in the world experiencing familial abuse and proves Jackson is an amazing protagonist viewers can look up to and take example from. And then that scene with Jackson and Lunis...god. It's so rare to see such real, raw emotion in animation and you executed it fabulously. Truly. This series, your work, and you should be more well known because you are incredibly talented and intelligent when it comes to writing, animating and producing an entire series! Keep up the amazing work, girl! You are such an inspiration to me and countless others!

Man, this series is just getting better and better! The characters develop so naturally, and the arcs are being handled so well for each of them! The flashback scene was so emotional too, makes what Hesia said about Iris in the previous episode even more emotional. I also love that we can see Vivian's struggles of wanting recognition overcome her. I think her upsetness and agitation after Aries attacked Jackson was maybe because he was given the Curse before her, despite all her hard-work to be "seen" in her father's eyes. A great series that keeps improving and great characters, and I can't wait to see what Ep5 brings!!

All right, I’ve gotta say this: I l o v e Jackson’s sassy, deadpan-snarker side that he’s been developing throughout these episodes, just as a result of being increasingly done with his father and sister’s shenanigans. GOSH , THE VOICE ACTING, THE DRAMA. IVE NEVER HEARD A CRY AS GOOD AS THAT IN A ANIMATED SERIES ON RU-vid IN MY ENTIRE LIFE

The way this can bring up emotion in people just by watching it. The heart racing, the urge to see what happens next, the way it gets you so enticed it feels like you're in it. The last 3 episodes I watched including this one as the 4th just blew my mind, I love it when people make it look like they put their heart and soul into the emotions shown within the clips and the detail is magnificent! The moment Jackson got hurt and the tears that were shown were enough to make me cry at the things he is going through, never lose hope on this 😍

I'm not sure how many of these comments you're able to read since I'm sure you get so many, but something I've noticed, and really love about this reboot, is how it seems to be telling Jackson's story instead of Lunis's. Don't get me wrong, I love Lunis, but Jackson is such a deep and complex character that I've loved since the first installment of the series and I'm so glad his story is getting more of a focus in the reboot. Beautiful work as always, and your improvement in animation blows me away every time I see a new upload from you!

This episode was great. I feel so bad for poor Iris and proud of Jackson for standing up for himself. It's horrible that he had such dire consequences for doing so. Poor Hesia, seeing Iris like that :(

DUDE!!! This episode was absolutely stunning and Phenomenal! I almost cried during the scene with Iris and then the scene with Lunis and Jackson! That is some professional level acting and writing! Like Holey cow! This is chefs kiss. I was on the edge of my seat with Jackson this episode the kids got some guts!! I don't want to go to deep into detail because of spoilers for this episode but I can literally pick about every line and moment in this episode and praise it because it is just God level of entertainment! The art was amazing and so appealing, the backgrounds were really well designed, they felt so natural and had character to them, and they fit with the characters so well it truly felt that we were in the scenes with them! Really love the character designs and the dynamic posing for this episode was so creative and compelling. just hands down a masterpiece. I'll shut up now! Excited to see what you have in store for the rest of the series!

Hope vixy and Viv learns the easy way instead of the hard way, definitely hoping Jack's words keep ringing in Vivian head. Maybe she might learn a thing or two- It was just phenomenal! You and the crew are just amazing at what you do! You know I'm watching that again and maybe again. Can't get enough of this show! Guaranteed one of my favorite stories and artwork ever! This was a fantastic episode! Things got really intense really quick. And pour Iris in the prologue :( I do feel so bad for Jackson. He's already gone through so much shit but still desperately loves his sister, his only family, despite how rotten she acts towards him. Now that led him into such an awful situation. And now he's cursed as well. Poor boy. Lunis is such a good friend, though. Her and Jackson's bond is so wholesome. I do wonder what'll happen next with the curse. Will Jackson be able to control/resist it or will he fall into the same ways as Ares?

The voice actors do such a good job of portraying emotional scenes. I'm so sad about Jackson! 😭

Wow. Just wow. I don't often cry at movies or shows, but this episode had me in tears, so much so that I had to pause the video because I couldn't see the screen. Your storytelling skills are stupendous, and I can't wait for the next episode!

This episode was absolutely incredible. The amount of work and effort the whole team put into these episodes is just marvellous! The absolute improvement, I still remember watching TSH since 2018 and being so hyped about everything you post. And I still am! Overall, I really felt bad for Jackson. He stood up so brave and fearless in front of Ares. I also love the idea of Rose gaining the rose veins, was it from guilt?shame? I'm honestly filled with so many theories. I have to mention that the voice actors are really talented! I'm excited to see more of the upcoming content!

This reboot is phenomenal. I remember catching the end of the original series way back when, and I had no idea what was going on xD. But the writing/story telling in THIS is really well done, not to mention the visials are not only pleasing but expressive and overall benifit the story. Awesome job. This series deserves more credit. ^-^

This episode was very intense, but it had so much going for it at the same time!! The visuals were great, the way the characters are written relationship-wise was fantastic and well done, and overall the entire thing was amazing but heartbreaking to watch! What a way to kick off the start of June, excellent job to all who took part to make this episode become a reality!!!

I love Jackson's and Lunis relationship! It's so sweet! I hope they get together in this reboot!!

JACKSONNNN, POOR BBY. HURTS MY HEART SO MUCH. I feel bad for Vivian but fuck, Jackson's not wrong. Ares doesn't care, they're merely pawns. Vivian wasn't enough cause she doesn't have the same anything that Jackson does. She doesn't look like him but her brother does. Vivian's on the side of the person who doesn't actually care about her, there's no genuine anything. That's not a family, that's just a king and his subordinates. Nothing more, nothing less. Seeing Jackson like that broke my heart when all he wants is a relationship with a sister who practically hates him and has been manipulated into believing their father who wanted them dead. Makes me wanna cry because it breaks my heart, stop making me feel so much over poor Jackson and his hell. I just wanna pick him up and hug him, he's too precious for any of this 😭 although I will say that Vivian seemed pretty concerned and brought back to her senses when Ares struck Jackson and transferred the curse to him, maybe even a bit scared by it from the look on her face? I'm also curious about how things with Vixy play out in the reboot. She seems to not agree with everything and shows genuine concern. She comes off a bit bothered when told not to be "loving" or "friendly" with Vivian, to not have some sort of bond with her. She isn't voicing anything too much but she already seems and feels like she's really conflicted about everything I loved the episode though, it just tugs at my heartstrings so much. I love everything about the series. From the characters to your art style and to the voice acting. All of it's just fantastic, I'm excited for episode 5. Keep up the amazing work ❤

okay so i watched the episode and it was so freaking amazing?!?! the first scene with hesia and iris especially brought up emotion in me, but it was just amazing in general! the emotions in characters are so real, i could feel the way they all feel! the scene where hesia discovers iris’ dead body almost made me cry, even though there was no voice acting (once again shows how well this series is written dgyxhajwjdid). and the way ares, vixy and vivian all try to manipulate and gaslight jackson…he stands up to it but as it shows their words still leave scars on him, and although he is not falling for their manipulation it still affects him in a way. i can relate to this a lot. standing up to someone, especially as aggressive and brutal as ares, is extremely hard and that’s why i respect jackson so much. as for vivian, i see that, although she is brainwashed by ares, she still has doubts and jackson’s speech struck up some emotion in her. her character is also pretty realistic. and lunis, apollo and jackson’s friendship is so healthy and cute soejdoazaozd i love them so much!!

I swear I broke into tears so badly, it just tears me apart how Jackson was treated and how much he suffered. This is amazing, great job! Definitely one of my favorite series

WHY AM I CRYING MY EYES OUT. That beginning pulled my heart right through my eyes 😭😭😭😭

the voices in Jackson's head and that entire scene made me actually cry.

Holy shit, that opening scene was so intense and emotional! It hit me right in the feels! Seeing Iris as a runaway and Hesia offering her help when she needed it most was so sweet, and Iris crying and thanking her over and over was so touching. And then the abrupt transition to Hesia finding Iris’s body and freaking out was so well executed! You could see the sheer horror and shock and grief as both she and Rose mourned Iris. This seen legit almost made me cry, it’s so well done!!

Holy shit, this episode was absolutely phenomenal! Everyone did an absolutely amazing job putting this together! The visuals, the music and audio, the acting, everything was at a peak! This story hits emotional beats so well! Great work, always looking forward to the next installment!

Got through ALL four episodes several times now, and I am head over heels in love with this story. I am super excited for the next episode, whenever it comes out! Jackson deserves so much credit for how much he's put up with from Vivan. Steller brother, no question, and I hope Viv maybe turns things around and see that. I LOVE that not even for a second he buys into anything Ares is saying, but because abuse is abuse...he is still effected by his words, the harm he is causing. That's the way abuse works, as awful as it is. SO shipping him and Lunis, too. They are very sweet :). Again, so well done and can't wait for more!

One of the things I wished Jackson literally said to Vivian to really get her to think about her choices more was something about dishonoring their mother’s name and wishes directly. The voice actress for Iris did a better crying voice than how a lot of actors do it in cartoons ngl

i rewatched this ep so many times and its beautiful to see how much emotion is in the sene where arise attacks his son vivian and vixy are shocked and afraid and you can see the worridness in vivians eyes she may not care as much for jack but she still cares about him up until ep 5 all he wanted was to be loved by his sister and now she doesn't even care and when shes ask jack to give her the curse you can see the pain then in her voice and her eyes, this ep has really shown how much arise is willing to go to stay in power, no matter how much of a terrible cat he is. all he cares about is just as long as he stays in power.

The episode was so AMAZING. I love it so much. The Details, the art, and everything was good and incredible. You did a really amazing incredible job galemtido. I'm looking forward for episode 5. Thank you for making ours days better.

Holy moly man ☹️ This was literally the most emotional and freaking AWESOME episode Alex. Everyone put so much work and emotion into it and you can really tell. Gotta say it was sick watching Jackson finally let all of those feelings out and stand up for himself. He’s been holding so much in for so long, good for our dude in letting all that out. And nice to see that Vivian and Vixy still have a good bond. Fuck Ares hours yo lmfao. Anyway, I am hyped for episode five!!! 💕

Holy CRAP!! This series is so good, I did not expect to get so addicted!! Hell, I even binged all the original and I LOVE the improvement. Plus, having Jackson and Vivian be the main characters is a really cool change. I so badly want to make my own series, too, it would be so cool! Watching all this has really inspired me, hope I could figure it out after like two years of no inspiration. I’m excited for the next episode!!

i started to cry when jackson did, its a beautiful story. i love how you made Jackson/Vivian the main characters instead of lunis. i remember when you made the old version of TSH, the original story was also breath-taking, for the love of god, I hope you continue. Yet my love for these is endless, very mysterious, and beautiful, Q: will vivian get that scar like in the old series? Q: will jackson turn into a hybrid

I love the fact that Jackson stood up to his crazy father.

This felt like an actual episode I could find on TV!! The lightning, framing, music… everything in this was perfect!!

Oh man I got chills, that was so good! Poor Jackson needs a hug ;; This is so interesting to see develop, and I love that though Vivian is incredibly aggressive and angry, its easy to understand how she got to this point from the absolute hell they’ve faced. I’m excited to see more, I really love these characters!

What an episode!! I am yet again finding myself getting emotional over these colorful battle cats The final scenes with Jackson and Lunes here are by far incredible. The voice actors conveyed the emotions perfectly, the art and expressions were on point the entire time. Your crew seems to be improving with every episode and it’s amazing to see how far you all have come

So excited! 🥳 If you are to continue any further, I advise you to NOT if you haven’t watched the previous episodes. Spoilers for episode 4 are below, you have been warned. Woah! This episode was packed with so much action, I couldn’t breathe even if I wanted too. I wasn’t expecting Jackson to get the curse so soon! This situation makes me wonder the possibilities of how he will cope in the future. I was really excited to see the interaction between him and Aries. Jackson defending himself definitely gave me the satisfaction I needed after seeing him being talked down by, by Vixy and Vivian. (Poor Jackson 😢) I can’t wait for to see how episode 5 will turn out 😁

This series deserves more love.

Its just heartbroking seeing Vivian and Jackson being so attached to eachother and Then,Vivian just goes to their father Side thinking the Thorns killed their own mother. I cant wait to see ep 5 too
