This was one of the most anticipated matchups in this championship and I never thought I would hear a 'and it was in this position Magnus Carlsen resigned the game'... wow!
Unbelievable!! Abdussatorov at 17 beating the world champion. At his age me and my friends used to fight over chess rules -"en passant is an illegal move" being one of them xD
Relax , Andrey Esipenko earlier this year beat Magnus and the whole world made a fuss out of it. What happened to him in the world cup tournament vs Magnus?ANNIHILATED.
This kid has nerves of steel. Peter Leko said that he was an endgame expert and then he proved it. Also Leko had to fight for a draw against him, and said he had the same body language against Magnus that showed he was going for the win. Leko is always right.
@@wolfgangwiesinger9502 using that logic magnus is also a snake, he keeps playing drawn position and waits for opponent to make a mistake like a snake, stop discrediting this kid you magnus fanboy
I'm sure and i believe everyone will agree... No one is as excited as Agad, who wants us to watch and experience what's going on in the chess world. Also the vibe which he wants us to feel. Thank you once again
What a game by my countryman, 🇺🇿 Nodirbek! The fact his opponent was the world champion made it even more exciting! 😎 He's been a bit underrated so far. But the world will see his true power soon, insha Allah! Edit: Yes, I wrote "soon". But I didn't expect things may happen this fast. 😄 Congratulations, Nodirbek, Youngest World Rapid Champion Ever!
Agad, you should really cover the Hikaru-Alireza game if you can possibly manage it. Even though it was a draw, it was one of the wildest most crazy draws I've seen in a long time! Alireza sacrificed a pawn and a knight right out of the opening, but the knight proved to be immortal and the pawn was completely poisonous. #suggestion
the end game was crazy, he defended his own pawn while simultaneously attacking the king AND the black pawn while forcing a position which carlsen wasnt too happy to end in. really phenomenal.
I feel like Magnus always allows people throughout the year to show their strengths against him so that he knows how prepare for them in World Championship. He played this game like he didn’t have a care in the world. Anyone who watches magnus knows when he’s playing serious and when he’s not. This guy is a reaper.
Lol...Give the kid his props and get Mags nuts out of your mouth.. He beat a world champion. What you're saying may not be untrue but to say that without acknowledging the kid is what people call "haterism"...lol
Magnus could have won the game at 10:20 by moving knight g5 instead of pawn f5. Bishop can't take knight because it's pinned. Black knight kicks the white queen off any white square that guards the pawn on h5, allowing Magnus to promptly take the h5 pawn with his queen, winning the game.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders - the most famous of which is, “Never get involved in an end game with Magnus” - but only slightly less well-known is this: “Never go against Nodirbek when sudden death is on the line”!
MVL wrote about this game that Nodirbek is like a bonus for Magnus and he claimed that Nodirbek did not win any GM till this match. Lemme help him remember!!! 3rd match: Fabiano 0-1 Nodirbek🇺🇿 7th match Levon Aronian 0-1 Nodirbek🇺🇿 By the way, Draws with Ian and Grischuk. And now, He won the game that was thought to be a bonus for Magnus.))) #Bye_MVL
There was a agadmator video after the game Magnus-Nodirbek in World Blitz 2019 with the title: "Magnus who?". Well it is seems, Abdusattorov's attitude is exactly that, "Magnus who?', " I don't care, I just play and win" 😂
wow !!! this is it ... another 15 minutes of glory prodigy , future multiple times world champion , potential GOAT etc. has arrived to entertain an iPhone generation
Poor sportmanship by Magnus with his complaining about the rules after he was out, he would never ever complained if he was one of the two in the tie-breaks. If you want to change the rules say it before the tournament starts. Sore loser. This kid beat him fair and square and deserves to be World Champion, Magnus can cry himself to sleep tonight.
He was in this position before (while he was 1st and there were 5 co-leaders), and he decided to refuse to play unless all 5 people have the same chances, and it resulted in there being 5 winners. Not to speculate on whether this is poor sportmanship or not, but it’s moronic to say he is bitter when just about every chess player not under the FIDE Banner saying that this is bad.
in 2018, Sinquefield cup, There were three players with the same points and Carlsen was the first by rules and at that time he asked to make a tie-break between all three equal players
I hate studying chess, so I always learn much more about chess by watching Antonio explain games than I have with years of studying chess books and chess engines.
I love watching blitz. It's not too fast like bullet where I have no idea what's going on (unless Jerry from the chess network is commentating) and it's not like classical where a single move can take an hour.
Rating maters more than a championship title. Plus, Alireza is much stronger in classical which is a closer reflection of your true chess ability than the faster time formats. So Alireza is still a stronger player. But that said, this kid has a lot of potential for the future. He's definitely got a long career ahead of him, and could maybe pass Alireza in the future, but will have to improve his classical abilities a lot more if he wants to have a serious claim to overthrow Magnus as world number 1.
@@eragon78 "rating matters more than a championship title" hell no it doesnt. the title is always preferred overrating. plus i think hes rated higher than alireza in rapid. were not talking about classical here
@@Mikesco10 Thats just wrong when it comes to how strong a player is. All the champion title means is that you played really well for a single tournament. Rating however is DESIGNED to evaluate how good a player is relative to other players. The higher rated you are the better you are compared to other players. And im not saying a world champion title isnt more desired by players, because its a very prestigious title. But rating is a much better indicator for who the stronger player it. Rating takes into account ALL of your games, where as the world champion only accounts for how you played during a few days. If you play like a 2850 for a few days days during the world champion title, you may be able to get some upsets and win to become WC. But if you play like a 2750 the rest of the time, then you are hardly the best player, you just had a good week. This is why the World Champ title for Rapid and Blitz get passed around all the time. Its not like the best player changes every year. Its always Magnus who is the consistently highest rated player with best overall results. Plus, Magnus has the most WC titles over the past 10 years for rapid and blitz. Like, if Magnus comes back and wins Rapid again next year, its not like he was the best player, then wasnt the best player, then was the best player again. Thats just silly. He was the best player the entire time as indicated by his rating. its just that Abdusattorov had a good tournament and played really really well and won the WC tournament. Also no, Abdusattorov is NOT higher rated than Alireza in classical OR rapid. In rapid, Abdusattorov is rated 2593 and Alireza is rated 2656. That said, Abdusattorov's rating is likely going to continue to increase quickly as he has clearly gotten a lot better since pre-covid when his rating was more accurate since he hasnt played many official events in a while due to lack of tournaments. But even then, its unlikely his rating will be as high as someone like Magnus who is 2842 in rapid. And dont get me wrong, obviously Abdusattorov is a very very strong player now. And winning the World Championship is a massive achievement that proves he is one of the best in the world. But that doesnt mean he is THE best in the world. People who arent hte best in the world win the championship all the time, ESPECIALLY for rapid and blitz largely due to their format, but also because people dont always play at exactly the same strength every time, sometimes people have a good day or an off day. All Im saying is that the WC title doesnt tell you who the best player is. But it does tell you the player who managed to beat all the best players in a tournament and earn the most prestigious title. But rating is the best indicator for overall true skill.
@@eragon78 bruh holy shit u wrote a proper essay its not that serious. All im saying is that if u ask the players they prefer the championship over rating. Rating will settle in eventually. And no chump is gonna win a tournament with that field of players. Abdusittoriv is clearly a future top player whos gaining rating points with tims hes on 17 hel continue to grow
@@Mikesco10 Players prefer the champ title because its more prestigious to the general audience, but that doesnt mean the person with the title is the best player, thats just factually wrong. If Abdusittoriv becomes rated #1 then yea, he's the best player. But until he becomes #1 rated, then he isnt the best. Its really just as simple as that. And again, I never said he was some chump. I literally said he cemented himself as a top player by winning the world champion. I just said that the WC is NOT the best player, the highest rated player is the best player. That was my only point. I wrote a lot to explain that point because I was just trying to explain it well. Its not an essay, its like 3 paragraphs, its not that much. if you dont wanna read it, nobody is forcing you to. And im not getting all serious about it either, I was just casually explaining my viewpoint. Im not going to clip it to 140 characters like its a twitter just because people dont like to read. If you dont wanna read it, then dont, I just wanted to say what I had to say. If you dont want to read what other people have to say, then dont comment responding to them, because that insinuates you want a discussion.
Live right now: Carlsen has been eliminated, and now it's going to be tie-breaks between Abdusattorov and Nepo for the World Rapid Title. Absolute madness.
#suggestion not a game recommendation but any possibility of adding Firouzja to the channel wallpaper with all the greats for being the youngest 2800 in history? Love the content Antonio keep it up!
I recall Magnus lost to Abdu back in the 2019 WR&B championship too. He seems to have a knack for getting under Magnus's skin with the right style of play. Well done to him!
