This season been a bit rough on my end I think the last season was one of the better ones, I am not sold on this one And for 4th edition I do hope they keep Battle Regiment and instead keep doing what they have been doing each season here --- realize what it takes for other battalions to compete with 1 drop -- it's about incentive structure Btw, did y'all see all the new Iron Jawz models? Even new 'Ardboys, alongside some new units. I did not have Iron Jawz Wave 2 on my NOVA Bingo Card! (I did have every new SM release though minus Termie-Chaplain -- who looks really dopey and I think I will keep my previous ones, scale be damned) And I agree --- RIP Ghur Battlemage
I am perplexed a bit by Lauchon. From my personal reading of the rule, it wouldn't be able to take a unit of more than 1 with it and you could only do it once before each time you move Lauchon. I accept on the face that I am wrong as that's not how it is discussed in the video but may I ask how it is possible to transport 2x5 Evocators with it? I ask mostly so I can explain it to anyone who I may be playing against with it who is as confused as I am.
You can only transport 1 WIZARD, but that unit can have any number of models (as long as the unit can fit wholly within 3" of Lauchon). You can't transport 2x5 Evocators at the same time. The list in this video is going to charge 5 Evocators up the board at a time, so it can preserve resources for future turns. You could send 1x10 Evocators but I think that is an over-commitment.
In the beginner's list, how about dropping the Aetherwings and Relictor to be able to take a Lord Arcanum on Gryph-Charger as the general and Lauchon? You could then take the Grand strategy Spellcasting savant, taking the Lord-Arcanum as the general with Shaman. As for the Relictor, do you need a translocate with 3 self-teleporting units, Scions and having Lauchon for the Evocators?
Hello, thanks for the video! Any suggestions on how to adapt the begginer list to face Seraphons? I feel like it will be impossible to cast spells against them, most importantly Mercieless Blizzard. Thanks!
Against Starborne I generally don't even bother casting spells because unbinding can give them summoning points, and I save my primal dice for unbinding their spells. Seraphon is a tough matchup if you are unprepared. You need to know the range of their spells (including the bonus +6" from the Astrolith Bearer) and play around them carefully, and consider that they can teleport before casting any spells. Without knowing the Seraphon list or the battleplan, it's hard to give any more specific advice! You can try asking on our discord server - there are lots of friendly players on willing to get into in-depth discussions!
Hey, great podcast, inspired me heavily and made me think about builds. Thanks! I have one question. What do you play on evocators? I have 10 on foot and I don't know whether to give them swords or grandstaves. EDIT: I saw after a build with them equipped with grandstave so problem solved i guess :D

Looks like a solid mix of melee and ranged, infantry and cavalry This season we strongly favour using Tempestors over Judicators because they can help score a battle tactic, but you've got that covered with Fulminators If you have a Lord-Relictor with Translocation then I dont think you need a Knight with Translocation... Can't try to chant the same prayer twice in a turn Maybe try Overshadow as your grand strategy? There aren't any really good ones right now, unfortunately...
What do you guys think of bringing a dais arcanum with spare points from battleline points drops on a knight incantor for a potential 3 unbinds with eater of magic ?
@@alanwhite8870 Dais Arcanum is finding its way into many lists now that it only costs 20 points and we have an Incantor in every list Not sure about Eater of Magic since it is straight up useless in some matchups (Kharadron, Khorne, etc.) while the utility of Shaman of the Chilled Lands is always useful It sure is fun to unbind Kroak and make him forget Celestial Deliverance!
Chariots are great! Very solid pinning unit... Will be trying a 3x Chariot list very soon! There are other more versatile or cheaper units to help score battle tactics, like Vanguard Hunters and Questor Soulsworn.

I think your list is trying to do too many things! Check out the Krondcast list we talked about in this video to get an idea of which units to use to capitalize on the strengths of Krondys and complement his weaknesses If you want more specific advice, post your list in the List Workshop on the discord server! We have loads of friendly people that are eager to talk about list construction
Yeah I saw that list, I just don’t have like any of those models. I have dominion, redemption brother hood. a box of Judicators 10 right now modelled with with bow 5 with x bow, 2 longstrike boxes modelled with longstrikes, krondys box of stormdrake guard, 2 fulminators, and a ballista. As a cool aside I get why yndrasta is now 260: it is so Dominion is now 1k all together. So i would prefer she get the ability to translocate herself + bodyguard (praetors) to another part of the battlefield once per game. That way you could heal annhilators.
@@scubadiver6895 Given the units you are working with, your list looks fine! Take it out to the store and get some games in with it. I think you'll learn a lot through playing that list :)
