But no, they have "greater idea" by making more season of children's card game instead of legit fantasy anime that could potentially draw more people globe and ultimately making a best anime
If YuGiOh ever sheds the For Kids rating. I think we can get it, cause we know that other shows are willing to do that somewhat. And tbh, even YuGiOh did that for the Dark Sides of Dimensions.
On today's episode of "Why did you show me this, RU-vid?" I listen to a guy tell me the story of a lizard, shown on several pieces of colored cardboard. It's a beautiful story and the cardboard made me cry.
Be proud! This was my go-to card when I was still a novice and though I've lost my physical deck, my GX game on PS2 will forever have this card in it.This was my card like how Black Magician was to Yugi.
What this tells me: the team that actually develops these cards and their stories really does care about this game. It’s Konami, specifically the people in charge, that are running it into the ground.
Konami is shitty when it comes to customer satisfaction and care. i.e. The cancellation Silent Hills, the firing of Hideo Kojima and making of Metal Gear Survive, and their refusal to do anything with their beloved series. The people making these cards care tons for the lore that they have set up.
One Dixie Cup Just For You yeah. Not to mention but think about this: for 20 years they’ve been designing unique cards where every card has unique art. The the quality of art has only skyrocketed in all these years. The amount of effort it takes just to do THAT much... my eyes have certainly been opened to the amount of love that goes into this game.
One Dixie Cup Just For You Fuck Kojima. He got himself fired by wasting the budget of MGSV on stupid personal shit. I have no sympathy for him. His team spent their whole careers walking step by step behind him making sure he didn’t fuck up Metal Gear. Glad he’s gone. Maybe they can take the series in a proper direction, meanwhile he’s working on that shitty Death Stranding game. Not showing any gameplay or giving any updates. Just an over complicated pretentious and over budgeted disaster waiting to happen.
I put this one together because i had the majority of the cards not the aria part ofc cus i didnt have the chamer cards. Another really good backstory would be the one for the six samurai
There's this funny looking card with some naked King, and I've been trying to collect the whole card sets (their effects are all unrelated to each other)
@@irfanburningowl sounds like the hugh revolution story. basicly that shirtless king "(as seen in "tyrant's temper")treats his people like shit and does whatever he wants until the "oppressed people" come together to form the "huge revolution". the last card in that story is "the huge revolution is over".
For some reason, I really wanted the risen gagagigo to travel back to Eria someday and meet her again. The interaction they would have. I would cry so bad. Yeah I got way invested in the story goddamnit
One thing I love about Oath of Companionship's artwork is Marauding Captain dropping his sword to the side when he tries to reason with Gogiga Gagagigo.
SEEEEIYAAAAAA!!!!!!, hey bud one question, in the series lore, how powerful are the gold's, like I know their strong and god like, but what's their max for their lore tier?
@@dillonfoster8342 I knew about his story and got the monster cards. Then I gave away mi whole card collection to a friend and I didn't play Yu-Gi-Oh! for like... 12 years. I played Duel Links 4 years ago but didn't keep up because of other games. I recently came back to play and when the trader showed "Gagagigo the Risen", I immediately went grinding water cards to obtain him. He's now my favorite monster in my deck and I'm trying to build a deck based on him.
konami needs to do two things. one, make stories like this animated. and two, make transforming/combining figures of the monsters in the anime. seriously, i needs to happen. you know how much money they'd make?
When demonking safes the live of a kid he trained. I watch it back since few weeks today. And I nearly cried in proud as Gohan wanted Piccolos clothes for fights*-* And even Piccolo smiled and sayd he have at least a good taste. Not seen Piccolo smile very often. Im 23 now and DB Z is one of the animes for 'kids' wich hides many aspects for older people wich kids never would understand. Great! Greetings from northern germany(:
me a magic player: well let's watch this shit, yugioh it's just a bunch of edgy student monster sketches turned into cards with no lore. 10 minutes later: gagagigo the best gecko in the game.
Is not that much of a Lore, but an actual story, but i'd like you to dig into the "Duel Terminal" stories, i love the spicyness that you add to the stories and i would love it hearing it from you! Keep up these videos, i love them!!!
I've never been into Yu-Gi-Oh, I'm more of an MtG guy. But my god, it's kind of astounding how much more compelling the tale of this one little lizard fella is than any of the garbage Magic has been spewing out and calling a story lately. This video is literally my first and only exposure to any YGO lore and I'm already more attached to Gagagigo than I am to any of Magic's characters despite having played that game for 20 years.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OSuoebFLSnE.html this is the history of the world of varios recents archetype, its a pretty long video but its a pretty Good one.
If you want more of a yugioh introduction you can play the mobile game duel links. Already have 3 copies of eria and her possessed form. Marauding captain is a good card as well. Its possible to also summon gagagigo and all his forms right off the bat using ancient rules so he can be a good card as well.
I know this comment is old, you probably already seen the other stories, but I had always figured that MtG had some sort of equivalent to reoccurring creatures in cards in their game tbh. BUt yeah, its definitely the older fans kinda keep track of when you see them alot xD
@@aercaux226 The concept of Magic makes it kind of difficult to have reoccurring creatures (each set takes place on a different world, unattached to previous ones). The exception are planeswalkers, people who can cross between all the different worlds. They are the main characters who do reoccur, and of course, they all suck. Most of them are little more than a face and a power suite, with little motivation, attachment, or development throughout. Sometimes it feels like they pick the main character for a given story by dunking a hand into a bag and pulling out a name at random.
I actually remember reading the card lore on these cards, and it was really fascinating, but I never got to find all of the cards or finish Gagagigo's story. I'm glad to see this video exists.
The saga of Gagagigo and Marauding Captain honestly deserves it's own cartoon or comic; if you could cover Marauding Captain next, that would be awesome!
You just made my day dude! I LOVE this video and really like the way you keep the OG Gunsblazing alive even when portraying a story like this! I would deffinitively want more of these kinds of videos. (Great to hear the project is going along well and that you are strict on concistancy in your working hours:) P.S. Coincidentally, it’s my 1 year subscription to your twitch TODAY! So thanks again for all the great content and the good laughs❤️
I remember discovering the connection between Gagagigo and other cards he was on(like 2 or 3 other cards where I spotted him), but I had no idea the story was so complex and deep or just how many cards this story took place across. Truly mind-blowing. Great video, please make more like this! I love videos about lore and backstories.
Next time: The multiverse story of Warrior Dai Grepher. Once a proud warrior who lead men in combat, he was given a choice of Destiny and somehow choose all of the above. Leading to him simultaneously becoming a Saint, Satan and Aquaman. He would try to both charm and kill the Warrior lady and as the multiverse intertwined various versions of him would meet inside the different dimension. Btw, that is the simplified version. Konami, making Kingdom Hearts seem like a coherent story in comparison.
There's such great lore hidden in the cards. A new series would have so much potential if they picked a few protagonist monsters and made it about them, not the angsty duelists and all their card game BS
I remember watching his many transformations as I got more and more of his cards that slowly told the story. When I saw him as the giant evil Gagagigo, I felt sad and heart broken, and for a time I thought this was his fate. But then I got that XYZ card of him being risen. Though no story was written I could tell that he had been redeemed. I felt so happy to see him taking on a better stance in life. Good on ya, Gagagigo. 🤟😎
I used to love Gagagigo just because he was an awesome lizard man, I didn't even know that there were stories to the yugioh cards until I saw a video by MrTopTens, and now that I know the real story of Gagagigo I love him even more.
I'm not gonna lie I clicked this expecting to roll my eyes by the end it was close to giving feels WTF not sure how anyone managed to piece it together but great job and great video
I love Gagagigo. Gogiga Gagagigo was my heavy hitter for a long while. I knew his art was on a few cards, I didn't know just how many though! This was friggen touching..
I always loved seeing card art that told the stories of the DD Warriors, the Marauding Captain, the Goblin Attack Forces, and eventually this strange friendship between With of the Black Forest and Sangan + the Skull Servant family, Delinquent Duo, and Graceful Charity.
Duel Terminal stories are as good if not better than this one here. Also, Inpachi has had a sad life too. It's amazing how well thought out the stories in the cards are
Thank you for making a video on him! I’ve always kept any card that featured him since I noticed after a few years and a few card sets he was a repeating character... he always stays in my deck.
I have a few of the Gagagigo's variants in my water deck and thought the story ended with Gogiga Gagagigo and was only contained in his cards. This is so cool! You've given me a few more cards I need to collect now. I would love to hear about the side story!
The first time i saw the card Gogiga Gagagigo, i really felt something special about the crad, and the description reinforces that. Then looking aroud the web, i could saw the previous versions of him and it turns into one of the my favorite cards without any reason else. Now with this video, you made stronger that favoritism. Thank you.
Wow. I loved this. Gagagigo (I always thought it was gaga-gig-go) is one of my favorite cards, but I had no idea he had such a complex development. This makes my heart feel nice. I wish there was a comic about him, even if it was fan-made. I would download and save that shiz.
The Bible is truth. Please read Genesis Mathew and one you chose yourself. It’s an important milestone to hit. As well as the inner work of forgiveness as an adult. Start with your parents, they’ve loved you. To be forgiven we must forgive. It’s an important show of faith to God. Forgiveness shows love is in your heart. Faith isn’t belief alone, it’s actions based on belief. Genuinely putting Jesus Christ’s lessons into practice in your life. Please trust me. Break down before Jesus Christ and ask for forgiveness. Jesus Christ is the way truth and life.
Serious props for putting in the effort for these videos. I had no idea the artwork was based around so much actual lore. Been having a blast reuniting with this series through Duel Links, and these videos are perfect content for making me want to collect more cards and piece together more stories! I’d love seeing some stories from the Spellbook archetype and Gravekeeper archetype. Darklords too!
Wow! I always knew Gagagigo was somekind of special creature and I've seen him on several cards but now with his lore explained, this little fellah has a great story. Thanks a ton Gunblazing :)
I’ve heard many Gagagigo stories on RU-vid but this by far my favorite interpretation of it’s origin. Fantastic job! I look forward to hear some more Yu-Gi-Oh! stories. Maybe Dark Magician? Whatever it may be I’m just that you’re back and doing well 😊
Gogiga Gagagigo was one of my first yugioh cards so I was really happy when I packed Gagagigo the risen in the first pack I'd bought in years when I was getting back into yugioh. Thanks for compiling their story
Yeayuhhhhhh!!! I'm so happy for this lizard guy! While I do not play Yu-Gi-Oh anymore, I still really appreciate some of the art and characters that get made along the way. Gagagigo is now a favorite example of this. Thank you for showing us this man.
I stopped playing many moons ago. But this drew me in and I'm glad I watched it. Neat production. Point got across easily and the story was definitely interesting.
TheAncientmachine I made a story about the warrior of zera, you should go check it out. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-q57A0cEyZTo.html
The Charmers are my favorite archetype to play in Yu-Gi-Oh, and Eria was always one of my favorites. I'm so glad to see them as part of this amazing story!
@@andreasabatini9070 and now from another youtuber I heard it's actually "different Dimension" ..which also makes sense. so I make sure on a wiki page translating the japanese name..and sure enough. It's different dimension x_x man. confusing.
I forgot how I acquired mine, but when I was younger(maybe prior to 2010), Gagagigo became one of my favorite Yu-Gi-Oh monster cards. The reptoid, or reptilian humanoid, is a neat design for a warrior. I had no idea that this monster card had such a deep backstory. I also didn't know that there was an XYZ monster called Gagagigo the Risen. Hopefully, I can find one. Anyways, thank you for making a video about Gagagigo.
