If you've followed this channel for a while you'll know I love the Goodnotes App and have used it and advocated for it since I was a student in my first year of university. With this in mind, I was so thrilled to get the opportunity to visit the Goodnotes team in London, earlier this year, and have a conversation with Goodnotes' CEO, Steven Chan, to hear the story of how Goodnotes came to be. Steven was an international student from Hong Kong Studying in Australia when he created the original Goodnotes app. And I was keen to hear from him what that story was and give you the chance to hear it for yourselves as well. I think what surprised me about Steven the most was how humble and down-to-earth he was and it’s something that’s expanded my view of what a CEO is and is also very inspiring.

Hello goodnote tm… it’s been 4 years am using GN…my request is please bring the page outline feature onto the toolbar somewhere near to lasso tool …so that while reading voluminous books we can reach the desired pages frequently ..

I have been a Goodnotes user since it was released. Throughout my journey of getting my degrees the app was my primary note taking platform. Thank you for interviewing Steven. I am finishing my doctoral degree and still using good notes. 📝

AWESOME BRO ❤👌.My request for goodnotes team - is to include the "infinite canvas" would be great to have freeform ideas . And i wish we too got your beautiful handwritten printed goodnotes as well. We could have paid for it anything happily to get it 🙏 😊

this man (steven chan) literally changed my life forever. I started using this app on the 2nd year at my job and immidiatly noticed a difference. I became the most productive employee, even noticing or reminding things to my BOSS. I've developed my own layout which works great for me. this app is amazing.

Samuel, really great video! I started to use gn inspired by you.And now I can even use gn to draw story and make zine for my son and my course! (And finally they got dotted lines, I almost give up gn half way for the lack of it.) Lets keep taking good notes!

Selling a product with a price for a “lifetime” access, then make a new version and charge people again. That’s pure dishonesty and greed.

I personally love and appreciate this business model because the other option that other apps like notability use is a monthly cost. I much prefer to buy the app 1 time and get bug updates for free. Then if I decide to I can just continue to use that version of the app forever, but if they do good work and add new features that I judge worth my money I'm glad to pay for that work they put in after I bought the app.

@DarrylRosete I paid a price for lifetime access for Goodnote 5. When Goodnote 6 came out, I lost access to Goodnote 5 and got asked to upgrade. How is this not dishonest and greedy. It is fraudulent. Someone needs to sue them.
