This is the rather ironic story behind one of the most popular board games in history. How it became a symbol of what it set out to destroy - and how the official story does not quite line up with reality. I created a little timeline of events that outlines how Monopoly was actually created and by whom. I hope you enjoy it!

Definitely going to start referring to Monopoly as D&D for Accountants, though it's unlikely I'll ever get the chance as everybody I know hates Monopoly due to it being the least enjoyable and wholesome family activity you can find outside of Alabama.

The funniest thing about monopoly, is that people associate it with capitalism, but no one seems to ever raise the question 'but.. who legally SUPPORTS and keeps the monopoly in power?' to which the obvious answer is... The government. Also what prevents people to boycott the monopolist and move to a different currency and not sell land to them... The answer to which is also the government. Woops, so much for free market capitalism eh?

I work at a ranch, and Marvin is also the name of my favorite horse. I bet he’s named after the street lol. He’s a big white horse, so in theory he’s very elegant. He’s very goofy though.
