FFXIV is one of those games where you get to have little dudes assist you with passive material gathering/selling and inventory upkeep! Just ding the summoning bell and a retainer will come to your aid... just... remember why you even summoned them on the first place!

I felt so bad for all the crap we put our retainers though I made an alt in our FC based on one of mine just to build a "relaxation room" for the retainers with their personal quarters.

This is why I hire Erenville as a retainer. Name was taken(before or after his appearance who knows) but at least I got Gleaner. Just need that gleaner outfit.

Honestly I can see myself doing that before remembering I shouldn't do that. After that I'd start making checklists or something and forget to fill them out, panic and then start apologizing to my retainer profusely. I've got my quirks, but I'm too nice to want to treat my employees badly.

I check everything on my retainer, stare into the void and don't talk to them for another day. It takes about a minute though

My retainers forgive me for doing this; I set those retainer-furnishing thingies outside and shoot a Dote heart at them at least once an hour while they're out on a Venture or anytime I come back home... They'd bring me Extreme/Savage rewards if the game let them...
