The Cammaster!

Cool rare car. I use to sell these (well we had them) at a long gone Buick dealership. All the old Buick owners had been complaining about the smaller size, "new" front wheel drive, V6 and "donut" spare on the prior year Park Aves. So Buick re-hashed the Road Master. It was HUGE even compared to the Park Ave and as you know V8, full size spare tire and RWD. We would have sold a ton of them, but the price was soooooo high." How high? in my two years at the dealership I sold countless Park Aves, Skylarks, Centurys and zero Roadmasters. I think the house only sold three or four a year. That's less than the amount of Gran Nationals (that were limited in production) we sold. And each dealer was only allowed three GN's a year somehow the owner said he was going to use the GN cars as demo models and got 6 or 7 one year. Needless to say I never even drove either the GN or RM the GN's sold for sticker price PLUS dealer add-ons like under coat and a cheap alarm that used a Radio Shack on/off switch. I never wanted someone looking at either car because as cool as they were EVERYONE would come in to see them then balk at the price.

96 roadmaster with the lt1 was my first car. Same engine the corvettes had, just in a heavy ass grandpa car

Got picks of a wagon yanking the front off the ground, ran a throttle body, headers, a 2800 conv, 373 gears and took a 150hp shot of dry nitrous. It would run 12:30 and still was a daily driven family car. The heads flow pretty good on these engines and since the distributor problems on the earlier ones was a overblown deal they get looked over. They respond well to mods and a good tune. I've owned a 95 ex cop version and even stock, worn out they're fun.

I've owned 3 , Limited, a dyna-ride and GTS...all 95 RM's ...all with differnet final drive ratios...the GTS was their trailer puller...but with 9C11 anti-sway suspension...very rare to find rear disc brakes... 22-25 mpg's, top speed limited to 105....but my GTS would out-drag the rest. Now I'm just dow to 2 96 Fleetwood Broughams....a little better interior upgrade...better leather...getting rare. thanx for the memories

I had a 88 T-Bird Turbo with a Manual Transmission but I Swapped and put a 5 Speed Automatic and a 351V8 Windsor. I bought it in 2010 and put that New Engine and Transmission a Year Later.

in late '95, I got a new '96 ROADMASTER COLLECTOR EDITION. FULLY EQUIPPED, ASTROROOF, TRAILER TOW PACKAGE, LIMITED SLIP. AFTER BREAK IN, I KINDA ENJOYED "MATTING THE GO PEDAL". ROOM FOR 6, A TRUNK TO CARRY ALL 6 passengers luggage. before I bought it, I test drove another w/o tow package. @ the cost of softer ride, the tow pack, was the 1 for me. I, topped out the speedometer a few times. highway cruising was it's forte. Passing, was effortless. I, maintained it, like nobody's biz. Last time G.M. made REALLY AUTHENTIC LUXURY CARS. ENJOY YOURS.

Just bought a '94 with a built LT1 !!........aluminum polished heads, Mild comp cam, MSD distributer and ignition, comp performance roller rockers, 3.73 locker rear end, 2500 stall converter with shift kit.

The B body cars especially those with the LT1 are amazing!

wow man never seen a Buick roadmaster doing donots like that its amazing and they said its your tipical grandma's car that thing its a beast and six speed transmission that a mod I know they came in automatic only that's a Sunday cruiser with potential.good video man .🚙🚙😃😃.

for the sedans, i don't care for the ones with any sort of vinyl top option - prefer the clean look of just solid metal roof... I don't know why so many horn mods are done the way this one was. I posted a video on my channel of the way I like it - although now I think i would reposition the buttons to the lower part of the wheel than the top where i put them.

Got a buddy who's on his third one found a one owner with 50k original miles. The best part is that it's aluminum block lt1 only in like the 92-94 models. With just headers and high flow exhaust that damn boat MOVES!

I had a 92 in high school. Liked the older interior much better. Could race the guys near 120 on Friday night and then pull the trailer to the flea market on weekends.

That Crazy switch a Automatic Transmission to a Manual Transmission that is Odd

Have you dynod this car? What Bolt ons do you need to get to 300whp? I know stock they have 260hp at the crank or probably only slightly more than 230whp.

I have a 92 buick roadmaster with a 350 small block stock it made 180hp and 300lbs torque smoken Honda's left n right i have plans in super chargering it its kinda heavy but hope it sticks to the ground n not just pill out plaing to do a complete rebuild

Buicks are Beasts! My 2014 Lacrosse with 304 hp can take on my 1995 Camaro Z28. A very nice sleeper. Im wondering which one would win in a drag race but i would not be surprised if the Buick is quicker.

how did you manage to crank 300hp out of it? from factory even with the LT1 those normally get 260hp. Not a whole lot less but you have to have made some modifications.

The buick roadmaster is actually 270 horsepower not 300 horsepower Corvette was 300 to 330 horsepower to LT1 and LT4

hey sg it wont beat mine i got the same one with road masters and a corvette engine and i put the subs in the back of mine but if i hit the gas it does a burn out and its way louder than yours so

The LT1s on the Fleetwood Roadmaster and impala were exactly the same LT1 used on the Corvette just slightly detuned and it had cast iron cylinder heads where the corvettes LT1 had aluminum heads and more horse power

Dangerous it is i dont know why buick put that fast engine in these cars but i have 2 buick roadmasters one is drivable the other one is not and its the same color maroon as yours i have anything you need for that car including the engine is a LT1 with 124k original miles
