I am hyped for the Super Mario Bros movie, Bowser looks cool, Kamek looked cool, the koopa troop look awesome, and I love that Mario has that brooklyn italian accent again just like in the Super Mario Bros super show, and luigi looks tremendous.
Yeah I really do think I prefer a Brooklyn accent over the Italian one. Like I said it’s one thing for the games but for a full fledged movie, I think this was a smart move.
The movie looks amazing. The voices, even Mario’s, in my opinion sounds great. I can sort of tell he’s got a bit of a Brooklyn accent, it’s not too heavy though. But even if he doesn’t personally I think he sounds fine. Chris Pratt’s voice weirdly fits. I do wonder though how he’s going to play Garfield though now. Hopefully he nails that one, and hopefully Garfield’s lips don’t move.
This movie looks like a lot of fun Jack Black sound perfect as Bowser and I think if you hear more of Chris Pratt's voice instead of the small sample size we got in the trailer people will start getting on board.
Amazing trailer. I rarely ever watch movies (the second-to-last movie I watched in a theater was Dark Knight way back in the 2000s). I had zero interest in seeing this either until I saw this trailer. Think I'm gonna now. Hell, I'll probably watch the Sonic ones too...some of these video game movies look pretty cool I've just grown out of it lol.
I don't get bandwagon hate for Mario's voice. Yeah yeah, people are entitled to what they want to think, but damn, people need to calm down a bit over it. I didn't even think much of it since you barely heard anything from Mario in the trailer, so I can't even really say it is good or bad. It was honestly forgettable to me until everyone made a big deal about it (this is why again one of many reasons why I avoid fandoms and communities these days). I would not be surprised if Mario doesn't have much dialog in the movie in the first place, but I don't know for sure if that will be true. Again, I too never expected Mario to sound Italian funny enough since I'm used to him having a Brooklyn-type accent or something else even.
