Season 22, Season of the Witch is wrapping up and with Season 23 on the horizon, I thought it was time to bring one of the best Arc Hunter Builds around. This build uses Liar's Handshake to take advantage of its powerful cross-counter ability and health regen. Pairing this with Combination blow and gamblers dodge leads to a very strong melee build that will help you complete anything from easy content to master and grand master level content
P.s. Blade barrage is still better than Gathering Storm

I was running a nightfall the other day and someone on my team threw a wall of ice that blocked my blade barrage. Completed wasted my super. Really annoying.

So after playing with the build a bit I found that one two punch actually lowers the cross counter dmg. 217k on Carl with out 1-2 and 204k with 1-2 punch

This build works like a dream on the Throne World and I don't even have the chest, leg and cloak mods applied yet. You constantly have either your Melee or Dodge up, and those punches do crazy damage.

What stat distribution did you go with? I bought the roll from Xur & master worked it, but dunno what Stat distribution I should focus on.

Resilience and discipline should be your top 2. You get health back so recovery isn’t super important, and you melee refreshes you dodge an vice versa so you don’t really need strength and mobility

I like this build! This is one of the few exotics I own (thx XUR) and even though I'm new to the game and I can hang with the veterans. Also, the game flashing is crazy (the blind well chaos lol) and melee build helps with that a LOT.

Could this build work with acrius or fourth horseman? Sounds kind of fun with one of those exotics to destroy champs.

@@luckymecI thought one two punch brought down the buff from cross counter to 80% (instead of 200)? Has that been changed?

@@supremenugget212 To clear it up, the total buff with cross counter and 1-2 punch is 320% instead of it normally being like 700% So yes cross counter does get brought down from 200% to 80%, but still does benefit from 1-2 punch.

Using this in Onslaught with the Pulse Grenades.. but the Melee sooo powerful i’ll probably switch to blinding grenades. Oh and Risk Runner makes you damn near INVINCIBLE!

as of this comment, bastion now has an added passive of increased melee damage after hitting a majority of pellets from a shot and gains bonus damage after you melee

unless this is a new change and it wasn't this way when you posted. if you look up the specifics behind liars handshake you will see that you are loosing the 200% increase for only a 80% increase when using one-two punch. just gives more choices for special.

I'm running this build with assassins cowl but my combination blow won't stack, is that the reason? Not sure why but it stays at the first stack, won't go to 2x or 3x. Any thoughts?

What does the exo do exactly ? Cuz I get heal and the combo punch without the exo too

TLDR - more melee damage and more health. Cross counter give an extra 200% melee damage after you melee or get melee’d, you gain cross counter which will stack will all other buffs. So your first hit will deal the normal combination blow (60% per stack) then the next hit (when you stab them) does an multiplicative extra 200%. That’s what gives it the power to 1 shot most enemies with the second melee, super useful on champs in higher end activities

The modifier on that master list sector was the one where you basically don’t gain back health, but if you kill an enemy they have a chance to drop a restoration thing

I'm still new to D2, and almost all builds I've seen they tell you to get 100 on resilience 100 on recovery, etc, etc, and the way I go about it is add armor mods into my gear but here to play this build I don't have to add these armor mods. Like how are ppl getting 100 without adding armor mods?

I got that same question. Highest Armor roll Iver seen was 69 so Idk how they get double 100s with mods 🤷🏽‍♂️

So why not use like trinity ghoul with catalyst and one two punch or trench barrel shotgun in kinetic?

Trinity Ghoul is a very good weapon, it doesn't necessarily synergize like voltshot does but still very strong. As for One-Two punch or Trench, both are good, One-Two is nerf a bit with this specific interaction but still does amp up damage further. Trench is good if you want to use your weapons more since you will be meleeing like crazy. It mostly depends on playstyle so all of those can be good options too!

Can someone explain to me why, at 12min59, he is running towards ennemies, receiving damage, is he getting healed ???

Attrition, it was a modifier for that lost sector. You basically can’t heal unless you pick up that light spot on the ground then if heals you for a few seconds

Liars handshake is terrifyingly good in PvP. you will win 100% of melee situations

non.. not if you are too fast and hit them first !! LOL you gotta take a punch first then, you do 450 dmg ... so be patient and wait to get punch before punching ! :)

If the jolt part of the melee gets the kill then it doesn’t refresh, you also have to make sure you get the kill with a powered melee not a regular melee

To add to this, miniboss and boss enemies killed by your powered melee charge, not the jolt, do not consume your melee charge anymore, so it doesn't stack or refresh comb blow buff. You can see that in points in this video where they definitely died to the melee and not the jolt. Minor thing, but important to be aware of. You can test this out yourself in edz lost sector

They need to buff Elemntal Charge, it’s just a terrible mod, make it to where when picking up a subclass collectible or destroying a tangle, you will always get a armor charge

I have been using a melee hunter since Shadowkeep. When they nerfed it into oblivion i started losing interest in D2. This video would have been better if you didn't talk like a tiktokker.
