Breakfast is vital. What is important is length of fasting window. Breakfast though remains very important because ifbits your only meal of the day you are almost guaranteeing going to bed with an empty stomach/ almost cleared gut. This brings you closer to autophagy.
My grandad calls me weird for eating roasted vegetables and chicken thighs for my first meal of the day. He has diabetes and says eat normal like cereal 😂
@themovingintosleepmethod thought I'd add some info others on here might find useful. I purchased Dr. Gundrys shake and Primal Plant. The later has some ingredients potential buyers should know: 1. Spinach, I'm allergic to this food 2. Tumeric: anyone on blood thinner as I am should avoid Tumeric. 3. Rhodiola: a serotonin producing product found in antidepressant Zoloft. The Merck Manual advises against its inclusion in any food because of negative drug interactions. There is a directive to check with your doctor before using product or to stop if it causes illness. So Gundry is covered for any problems but including the antidepressant herb has left me questioning how safe other Gundry recommendations are.
Question. I'm a hunter. I process my own deer meat and package it to put in my freezer. I do have some smoked deer sausage made. It's mixed typically some pork fat since deer meat is so lean. Even with the added fat, when I cook it, there's practically no oil left in the pan because it's such a low level. With that said, deer meat I know is better, but deer sausage has to be better, do you agree?
We have a lot of glyphosate in Finland (although told otherwise), moreover the cold climate and shallow earth mean that the amount stay in the ground and spread.
@@marianlundenius7272 So many in Scotland, Ireland and northern England survived remarkably well on Oats in the past. They were no doubt working physically harder, walking everywhere & “weed killer” (back then) meant hands and a garden fork!
@stevelanghorn1407 yes. I was born and raised in such a world, in Ireland. We grew oats, never even heard of pesticides. The oats was thrashed by a threshing machine that separated the grain from the stalks. If you want to see that machine in operation check out the movie Ladies in Lavender starring dear Maggie Smith RIP, and Judy Dench. Set in Cornwall England during WWII. The threshing machine is in middle of film.
love Bobby's look at ingredients in foods and personal lotions and cremes etc. Agree, WE still need to chek the label again. but he is helpful for a start!
Hi Dr Gundry I would like to know when was the last time you checked whether Bob’s Red Mill oatmeal containers glyphosate. I looked it up and the company is now saying their products contain no glyphosate.
Hmm, I’ve been eating pasture raised eggs cooked in cold pressed olive oil, a cooked tomato, avocado slices and a slice of Ezekiel bread. I eat around 11. So far so good. I don’t seem to have gluten sensitivity. At 71 I’m trim and out pacing women 30 years younger at my gym. Absolutely no one believes my age. Raised SDA and eat very little meat.
@@paulhailey2537 Interesting. I love my meat & fish…but I’m boring old-fashioned omnivore! I’m very skinny. Always was. How long have you only eaten fatty red meat for? Were you slim before you ate that way?
@@stevelanghorn1407 I was a 455 pound Vegetarian and now I'm a 210 pound CARNIVORE 2 years later. I could Never reach SATIETY and was Always STARVING TO DEATH ☠️ eating a Standard American Diet. With Carnivore you're NEVER HUNGRY
Great info! It's good to know I'll never afford to eat healthy! Good thing I got a big garden going. Question: is time restricted eating still beneficial with less than prime food, or is it only beneficial when paired with the foods like you suggested? I eat grocery store food, but I do limit sugar, and eat relatively healthy compared to people around me. I incidentally seem to eat a late breakfast, and then usually only dinner, so I'm basically following intermittent fasting not on purpose. Basically, I am trying to tighten my food quality but is there at least some benefits from intermittent fasting despite eating less than ideal food?
I've decide not to spend much energy on intermittent fasting. It's very challenging to try to avoid lectins because the majority of the plants I'm used to have lectins. I'd like to know what to eat for breakfast since I'm allergic to eggs and organic avocados are over $4.00 each at my local "healthy" store. I am on a fixed income and cannot afford to pay 4.00 a piece for avocados. So, what do you suggest. DR. GUNDRY?
@elikerr785 stomach upset. Gundry speaks about this in one of his YTs. It seems it's common. It is unfortunate as I have a limited allowable foods and if I can't have meat or chicken I'm in trouble choice wise.
Just a question to Dr Gundry, you said that wheat germ glutin binds to insulin receptors on fat cells & later you said it would opens the door to store in your fat cells.( 4.40 - 4.51 time line). If it binds to insulin receptors on fat cells, then how do they store fat on fat cell as well. Wouldn't that also raise sugar level in blood vessels?
I am trying 1 tablespoon of pj-Kabos family reserve every morning and I have to say it is nasty tasting but after 34 bucks a bottle I will gag it down until it is gone. My next try is the morrocan oil. If it tastes as bad as the other I will just give up taking it. I'm 76 and in fairly good health but is it worth it taking something that tastes that bad?
❤😊❤thank you Question???plse When can we best take some chocolat ..kefir ..fruits? Break ?? End of afternoon after last meal taken around 4.30 pm ? Hope find an answer i m belgian chocolate 85% freak..
It’s been years since I ate breakfast. My first meal of the day is at 3:00 p.m. and my 2nd and last meal of the day is between 5 and 6 p.m. Breakfast for me was 95 pounds ago, This quack even pushes snacks.
So many it every day so once’s the two days are up you will have some ready for each day! Just make sure the grain is submerged and add a teaspoon of sugar to kick start fermentation and need to add tablespoons of apple cider vinegar for stop bad bacteria
You can have it longer then two days but I find it’s the good balance there are still a bit of sugars untouched but stops your bowl of grains for breakfast being too vinegar after rinsing them off 😂
@@popcopone5172 i agree. There is this guy about an hour from here who has been cultivating kefir for 20 years, and I have been meaning to go there and buy some of his culture packs, but I keep forgetting/putting it off. I still like my yogurt though. LoL.
It surprised me he omitted fermented bread but pushes fermented veggies BTW. I just got Dr. .Gundry shakes and saw a recipe on the container for a smoothie that recommended spinach. Isn't spinach a lectin container vegetable,? I'm already allergic to spinach but surprised it is suggested in your program, Dr. Gundry.
@stevelanghorn1407 I know. I bought some of what I should eat but they're not very appetizing. Radicchio is bitter, but the large leaves allow for something to put in them and make like a taco. Read about how to make potatoes edible by freezing then reheating but it's a lot of work. Oh well, guess I should be glad to have food period.
Send a child to school without breakfast and see how he does. Go do hard labor without breakfast and see how you do. There are cookbooks going back centuries with recipes for BREAK FAST. These freaking doctors today have taken something as simple as diet and exercise and complicated it in order to make a buck.
Thank you for your comment. I taught school for many years and children who did not have breakfast usually fell asleep in class or could not focus. I think this fasting business is unsafe and should not be advocated by medical profession. Leave the fasting to Gwyneth Paltrow and her movie star pals to this practice.
Dr Gundry should STOP talking $ĥ*t about fruit, while he says he eats it during sumertime... It contradicts his content, but the rest of the info is helpfull, he just needs to stop the contradiction... BTW The planet 🌏 is broad... Not one specific diet works for all humans... I see why that other doctor attacked him during "that interview"... We cant all eat Italian food, he sounds biased... but thank you anyway Dr G... but you're not the only Dr.
