One of the many good references for understanding where the #artmarket stands is the Surver for Global Collecting Report by Dr. Clare McAndrew and her team in partnership with @artbasel x @ubsglobalart. It always contains key information that I use when teaching or working. It gives a good overview of key points of measurement in the art world.
It’s really exciting to see how it all changes over the years. While we can’t say these are hard stats (it’s just a survey), I like to think this report is the closest to being a mirror. What do you think about the report? How does data help you see the art market better?
