did you show this to Batista and Kaynan? I see each of them use it and it's variations often

Been trying this for a long time and I have an issue. When I make them post on the ground and it's time to stand up (switching the hip to the left, etc.) I find my opponent to be right in the place I want to come up to. I find It hard to stand when the opponent doesn't retreat, they are too close to me and I can't move them back. Do you punch your pant grip to create this space maybe?
