Man I don't get people who concede when cool shit happens. I'm the type of dude that if I can't stop the inevitable 1000/1000 or whatever hitting my face, I'll throw buffs on it so it hits harder.
The flavor the the Sword is even better when you consider you have to kill Elwyn boars to get it. In the episode, the boys were locked out of doing quests, so they just "stayed in the forrest, killing boars".
Warlock quest, play soul jailer into any draw cards like backfire so you can chain draw your deck while killing the opponent for free. Even if you dont get lucky and draw into more draw.. tons of free cards that directly hurt the enemy hero... gonna be fun.
lol paladin quest is batshit insane mate just fill the deck with draw ,1cost cards and guy buffers.People played deck destroyer warlock just to fill the board with 3/2 imps now imagine 2 3/3guys with divine shield
More like win the game very rarely in specific situations. The Paladin questline is going to be more useful in more games, especially with Chadilous Rome revlead.
Btw, only the last Elwynn Boar needs to activate the deathrattle. You can have 6 silenced boars die and still get Sword of a Thousand Truths, as long as the final boar still activates it's deathrattle
I actually think it's going to be based on the cheesery in Stormwind. Probably "Elling Trias, Master of Cheese". He also happens to be a member of Stormwind's spy organization, "SI:7", so expect him to be the rogue legendary for this set.
You go infinite with Bolner because the circus medics will also trigger the effect again, giving you even more medics and tanks. You literally only need to play one of each to OTK.
@@davidb.6790 thats why there is the dunk tank. U use one medic on your opponent and then every medic afterwards is used on the precious medic. All your damage is from the dunk tanks.
8:35 I think the text should read "4 more draws", not "6 more draws". It's 6 cards in total, if your opponent clears it on his second turn after Roame is played.
So you... - have to have no other 1 drops for Rally to work (and play no one drops you might steal) -have to only play boars (including cards stolen) for Raise Dead to be reliable -have to have no other minions in your deck for Idol of Y'sharaj to be reliable. - Can use Initiation to duplicate, but then you're paying 7 mana for no tempo. -Can use Psyche Split to duplicate, but that's 6 mana and 2 cards for two 2/3's. - Gift of Luminance is reliable, but terrible tempo on a one drop. - Call of the Grave has to hit exactly this minion. -Draw your boars. If that doesn't sound like meme deck territory, you're kidding yourself.
@@wavesofbabies ofc its meme deck (or super highroll). But you can play kindasorta controlish deck and run boars shenanigans for "plan b" wincondition.
Trump, I haven't watched your videos in a while, but I like to binge through them every few months as a catch up. Honestly, just seeing you again is like seeing an old friend!
Hello Trump, i did a Cardreview on this on my channel in German, and the Elwynn -Boar is easy to play on Hunter, with Dierbeast you got 3 copys with +3/+3 in your Deck, you just need so like 1 Boar, to do this and then just draw a bunch of cards. I willplay this deck as first play world wide to finish it!
Fun fact: Bolner continues the trend of Hearthstone never having gone a full cycle without a "double battlecry" card. We started with Brann in League of explorers, which rotated out at Journey to Un'goro. So Un'goro, KFT and KnC went by without a double battlecry card, but then the Spirit of the Shark happened in Witchwood so rogues at least had the double battlecry effect. This rotated when Ashes of Outland came out, but by that point the Shaman quest "Corrupt the Waters" had come out, meaning there was a double battlecry effect in Shaman until THAT rotated out with the last set, Forged in the Barrens. Now with this set there'll be another double battlecry type effect for at least another year or so.
Paladin's Quest reward is a Battlecry. If you will bounce Lightborn Cariel once your hero power would be "summon two 5/5" for those who would bounce her back and play her with Bran Bronzebeard in wild it can go to two 7/7 or two 9/9
I know people are currently thinking about priest with the boars, but if any neutral card or new rogue card that shuffles copies anything into the deck might make it great. Currently rogue has potion of illusion, grand empress (discover a card in your deck and draw all copies), and finally stowaway (draw two cards from your deck that didn’t start there).
So Shaman has OTK now? Fun. Also, when you get the Elewyn Boar trigger to summon the Sword of 1000 Truths, I really hope it plays the angelic chorus you hear in the South Park episode.
cornelius into the paladin quest deck since it requries a lot of 1 cost stuff, then also varian king of stormwind to draw 1 cost rush divine shield taunt stuff maybe there is a paladin accessible card that wants to empty the deck quickly? c'thun is the one that comes to mind quickly
I'll say the same thing I said on a Regis video. Call of the Grave would have been a good rogue card. Especially because Blizz keeps halfheartedly trying to make deathrattle rogue work in standard.
You know the issue with boar is that boars need to die, not death rattles need to activate. Meaning cards like nine lives and all the rouge death rattle cards don’t actually work. You need recursion. So togwagels scheme, dire frenzy, and old res priest cards. You know I hope they print at least one DH, Hunter, or rouge card that works well with this. Because it’s a combo that is genuinely cool and it shouldn’t be relighted to the same shelf as desert obelisk.
I can potentially see rogue use the meme boar, with the deathrattle dagger. Valeera does not stab you anymore with a mere shiv. She will hit you with a thousand truths
Paladin quest may look pretty weak but as a paladin main i'm quite sure its a rushable quest and kinda reminds me to ''The Caverns Below'' so it might be insanely strong.
I wonder how Varian works with cards that have multiple of the keywords e.g. if you have Tirion and another taunt but no other divine shield minion in your deck, would it go through in the listed order and do a fair roll between Tirion and the other taunt and if it hits Tirion fail to find on the divine shield?
You can't randomly equip weapons that don't have a collectible base card. Blingtron and duel passive will not be able to equip the sword of a thousand truth or quest weapons like sulfuras.
Hmm how does overdraft's damage work actually? I remember the overload clear stuff will unlock any mana crystals already unlocked and remove the upcoming locks for the next turn as well so does it only count of of the sets or both?
Cornelius Roam is gonna be fun in my questline, self fatigue, totally fair and fun warlock deck im planning. Im betting when drop it and it fills my hand with the first draws from it players will have a hard time deciding to kill it, or let me burn 3 more cards and get to fatigue faster... maybe good, but i think i might fatigue before i can finish quest sometimes.. risky, stupid, and meme. but funny.
I compare Varian Wrynn more to Curator then Siamat honestly. That card was ran in a lot of decks despite its weird requirements. I’m sure Varian will see play
I feel like Cornelius in face hunter is going to be ridiculous. Between him and Kodobane you are almost gaurenteed to finish off your opponent by turn 7 or 8
I see a hunter, (of course who dont get a bow, because WoW vanilla logic) who can pull it of the Sword of Thousand Truths. Deck can be done, can be a meme, I don't know how much playable or op its gonna be, but sure will be fun.
@@BushSage Im talking about hunters in vanilla, always getting some bullshit instead of bow. Mayby not now in classic version, but Huntards word were from vanilla.
@@Arrakiz666 interesting, good point. I wonder if it will even be in the pool then (or if they are even still updating DK rexars hero power anymore) I just meant to say I was curious to see the ridiculous amount of text on a card that is possible.
Need some clarifications on Elwynn Boar card's wording on "If you had ... die this game." Is it same as "If 7 friendly Elwynn Boars died this game?" If so, flavor score: 0/5. You get the sword even when your opponent kills them...
At first i thought priest quest line was gonna make the game really not fun at all, but thinking on it more and more it seems like its one of the weakest quests simply because it takes way to long. Good luck playing on curve every single turn and having a primordial elemental to draw the win card by turn 10. Think back, haw anyone ever seen that happen consistently? Unless you draw perfect, can ignore whats on the board, never need to heal with hero power, and the card on curve is even able to be played your gonna not have your win condition till several turns after 10. It really, really slow. Pally can finish a bit easier and faster, Though still can be kinda hard since each 1 cost has to be different than the others played for that step. You gonna need a ton in deck, which is going to make you have some weak turns, and again like with priest, you need to actually be able to play those weak cards instead of reacting to anything to finish it fast, making it a bit risky. Its most likely gonna be a pretty aggressive deck though, so thats not to bad to have lots of 1 cost in that kinda deck, and if you can get it early on with a Loraxian, the pressure goes way up. i still think its way better than priests chance to survive the quest line. Mage quest is meh.depends on what spells we have at options. Though im pretty sure its gonna be a big pain in the ass to play against. Freeze and direct damage is so not fun IMO Warlocks is broken, Gonna be nerfed like day 2.
You only draw 5 cards off of Cornelius if your opponent can't deal with it the first turn. One from your turn end. 2 more from your opponents turn, and then 2 more from your turn. I have no idea how you managed to get to 6 cards from a single opponents turn. You need your opponent to leave it on the board for 2 turns to get 6 cards. Even then you'll get 7 unless you kill it off for some reason.
@@AyundaRisuFan It's probably a bit faster and the combo seems to take some time especially if the opponent is on 30+ HP. This time saving might be important in the end. But otherwise you are right.
the questline to get cariel upgrades your hero power as part of it. I don’t think you will run both odd pally and cariel, since odd pally only really gives a few extra upgrades hero power presses before the quest activates.
