This was beautiful. Foster really out did his self on this one, the little guy had so much talent. If one wasn't sure his voice could've been mistaken for Michael Jackson's. This family should've been bigger in the music industry than they were. I pray family groups can come back in the future.
yes they were just as great as the jackson but the only thing different was that was that they got caught up in the disco erra i dont think it was there doing see funk came in hard doing the 70s every body was down on it the sound music after 75 ,76 that when disco came in it kinda mess up some groups and singer the sound of disco had a flat beat even the group chic like chic but they got caught up in the disco lable did that but the sylivers all time great they even said that they hated boogie fever but it was for the radio i think disco came in too early doing that time it cheated out the funk

I learned from watching shows like " UnSong " some of best songs of Artists were either disliked or written under duress , that old wicked Industry is never going to change. Yes, I looked at this twice just to look the choreography. How many groups out there back in the 70’s had so many members doing the same moves one moment then a few moves just slightly different other. Wonderful family group. Very talented.

They would have if the producers hadn't kicked Leon out the group. Leon wrote and produced all of their songs before they kicked him out. After he left is when they started to fall off the charts.
I remember back in the 70's when a person said they preferred the Sylvers over the Jacksons they were accused of being "hung up on hair and color." In other words the person was accused of being colorstruck.

Back then everybody had a whole tribe of kids...! So many I grew up with had at least 5-6 kids and a lot had 10 or more... Childhood was so fun.. Ahhh memories... I used to love the song Misdemeanor!!! And their older brother, Leon wrote and produced so much for so many groups, he's UBER talented for real for real❤❤❤
the bad thing about this outstanding group is that they they started really getting reconized during the disco era....just bad timing....even tho there harmonies were better than other groups
that what i was saying disco kill them it kill a lot groups that were great it all goes back to boogie fever they were trying to fight what the jackson and osmonds bubble gum mujsic boogie fever was so water down bubble gum it over showed they style it was the biggest hit in the country and that what kill the sylvers
@@sidneygwaltney9931 It was bad, selfish management that destroyed the group not disco. Some of the members wanted to go solo, so there were many reasons. Leon went on to write and produce music for many other artists.

True story...The older siblings of the Sylvers were already performing on national talk shows and recording music way before the Jacksons ...as the Little Darlings...their parents signed a bad deal and it took a while for them to get a another deal...under the name The Sylvers ...J5 had that Motown promo machine behind them...they had alot of people thinking that the Sylvers were trying to be the Jacksons but everybody in their family could sing ...from the oldest to the youngest and Leon was a songwriter/producer who would make S.O.L.A.R. Records dominant in the early to mid 80's...Shalamar, The Whispers, Lakeside, and etc...they all had big hit singles thanks to him...alot of the Sylvers' music has been sampled by everybody from Dr Dre to Easy Moe Bee!

Cindy Jeter Stop that crap. I love the Sylvers but you cannot compare them to the Jacksons. Professionally the Jacksons were far more polished. Foster is no Michael Jackson.
They are better than the Jacksons for songwriting, vocal arrangements & complex harmony. There are videos of them singing acapella that would put the Jacksons to shame. Plus they all can sing lead well.
here in Goldsboro NC there is a i e cream desert called dipping dots I tried the cotton candy flavour all you see is these dots made office cream and hell it's super delicious.
I’m so agreeable that they should have a star on Hollywood Boulevard because they were successful and have been touring for many years because of my three major songs that I wrote and they had their own music as well and should be acknowledged
