In this video we share a Blender 3d VFX breakdown of adding this cg tanker into a live action shot. We've utilized HDRI lighting, dynamic paint for the wave simulation below the boat, as well as another dynamic paint to create the foam on the back and side of the ship. We've also utilized AI generative fill to create the digital matte paintings in the deep background of the shot. Notes: 3D CGI and visual effects compositing is about utilizing different visual data effectively to combine elements in the scene to create a seamless composite. This data often includes the live action shot, 2d stock elements such as smoke and fire, and any added or reconstructed 3d elements. When it comes to the 3d elements adding or recreating a scene we often render out multiple passes and layers to have more control in the final compositing process. These include data passes such as diffuse, glossy direct, Emission, mist passes, shadows, Ambient Occlusion, and more! We often render out these passes on a Multilayer OpenEXR file format so that we can access all of them individually without having to use multiple image sequences…streamlining our compositing process.

The color grading is overexposed, the overall lighting looks weird and also the ship is too big and fast. Hope it helps!

It just looks odd, as others have said about the bridge and buildings, I'm also confused about the big land mass in the middle of the river, where is this ship going cause at that speed its not going to stop? The strangest thing is that the work you put into the wave system, its simply not visible enough. I'm not a random person moaning, I'm a sub, but this is not your best work

Very bad integration. Ship is way too big, way too fast, the black levels are off and there is a lot of interaction with the water missing. Sorry, but this is not good.
