Tacti, pro tip: if you wanna reload your mosin, if you dont wanna throw ammo you need to select your knife (or another weapon) then open your inventory and finally drag the ammo so the bolt doesnt eject your current round in the chamber

Sound is accurate and connections seem stable. That already is a massive leg up. The lack of an arbitrary grind just makes it better.

Its for people that can't or don't want to spend 8-12 hours per day playing a game and trying to learn it. The game doesn't look like a mobile game I've seen the mobile game.

I still don't really consider the game casual it's still a hardcore shooter compared to other popular aaa fps titles. No hit markers,kill feed, mag/ ammo counter, no passive healing. Tarkov is hardcore because you're inconvenieced having to use 3rd party sites to play the game correctly (maps,quests,ammo).

For monetization, as a mobile player since season 1, it's mostly just cosmetics like apparels and gun skins (via gacha as usual). Apart from the subscription for secure container, there's a premium (they called it plus or something) which are perks like extra storage, extra listing in flea market, stuff like that. Battle Pass is another thing. I think it's not cod level of worth it yet but with weekly mission basically gives you like 15-20 levels if you completed it all it's pretty much a blind buy (it takes like 5 weeks or so to complete it). Every a couple of pass leveled up, you got a box of full kits from guns to gears (nothing P2W as all of them can be found in raid). Every 25 levels (or so) you get a premium apparel from hats to hood to pants to boots (only for premium battle pass). Apparels aren't all behind the paywall. There's a seasonal apparels that you have to grind from ranking points. You gain ranking points from deploying in lockdown mode which is basically a hard mode. Bots are equipped with like T3-T4 gears and ammo and you have a minimum value of gears that you have to bring in (basically you can't go zero to hero in lockdown mode). However, during the end of season (like the last 2-3 weeks), there'll be some special modes that you can get like a ton of points so most people will just grind for apparels during that time. So at the present, monetization is not that aggressive as usual mobile games, surprisingly. I mean the only thing I paid is just that battle pass. You actually don't have to play and grind that much (tarkov for dad is quite a perfect name,ngl) just complete the weekly quests (most of them are quite easy like 100k income from flea market listing, 50k worth of loots, going in the raid 10 times, 5 times successful extraction), barter with contractors and stuff.

Bingo... if you wanna play Tarkov, play it. If you have jobs, a life, a family, play Arena Breakout.

As a Dad what I don't have time for is online games. I don't mind and rather prefer indepth hardcore gameplay elements I just need to be able to pause the game and or save it relatively when I need to.

I am not a casual gamer but I can't play one game and one game only. there are too many interesting games for me to just sink my time into just one. What I don't like about tarkov is not the fact that there's a lot to learn, because you can learn most of the stuff you need within the time. But what is stopping me mainly is the sweats. They play the game religiously. They live and breathe this game. They know every corner, every player spawn, the fastest route to an objective. Even wipes don't faze them anymore. A game that was supposed to be slow and tactical turned out to be a knowledge game. If I am trying to do an objective with a somewhat decent gear, I'll get stomped by a sweat with one of the top tier armour and a decked out AR. There is no pleasure in learning the game if you lose everything. You can't even learn the game if you die constantly. So I started playing SPT and I had a lot of fun. I actually learned a lot of things. On the Arena Breakout matter. I can see how BSG has an issue with it. A lot and I mean A LOT of the weapon models and animations look almost identical to Tarkov's. 4:47 literally looks like Tarkov to me. UI elements also look identical, like the weapons smith boxes and a few other things. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they actually lifted shit from Tarkov. I get the "mobile" feel of the game. It noticed it too. But to me it feels like one of those mobile knockoff games. I am not a diehard fan of Tarkov and I think Nikita has an ego bigger than a moon. Especially after putting the co-op gamemode as a $200 purchase. But ABI does look suspicious for sure

I 100% agree on the mobile game look, if it feels like it was made to play well on pc i have yet to see myself. Im glad to see a more approachable title for a more casual yet challenging time

I don't think they "stole" anyhting per se, but the recoil is quite literally Tarkov's old recoil system...flip and all.

You got the mail on the head with this video. I bought the base version of Tarkov about a year ago to try getting into it. And I liked it a lot but didn’t have the time to learn the dearth of it. I love Arena Breakout for being more casual. And love the gameplay so far in the beta

Might give this game a serious try. I love the concept of tarkov but I am way too casual to be competitive, let alone deal with hackers

I'm just glad there's a game out there that respects it's players enough not to make old versions obsolete and create new versions for $100 more than the already obscene $150.

So to clarify about the t6 armour situation tho yes it does help in most cases it can be counterd by leg meta which is just picking ammo with 0 armour pen but high base damage mostly combo with shut guns it helps you breach the gap and if you manage to kill them you get a huge cash out also mind you that the loot you get in a raid is proportional to the total cost of gear of every player in the lobby so you are indirectly helping everyone by taking a huge risk of using expensive armour and guns if you die some lucky mf cashes out he could be f2p and even if you live the quality of loot in the lobby will be higher so it's a win win situation I'm speaking of this based on the mobile version btw don't know if it's the same for pc but that didnt say otherwise soo

This is exactly what I've been waiting for! The lack of a map/compass on Tarkov is what stopped me ever getting going. I also always into free to play games as free to try. Then if i like it I'll pay, like any other game - so not overly worried there.

I recommend this game for middle aged guy who is working 7am-9pm and then relax while playing some game.

My buddies kept telling me that Tarkov is hardcore and realistic. In reality I would bring a map and look at it, and it doesn't take me 4 seconds to open a bag and instantly recognize a battery and a can of pop, but apparently in Tarkov's "reality" my mind would need to load what I'm looking at, I would also starve within 30 minutes without food or a drink in Tarkov's magical reality. I'll give this a try when its out.

I've read it's hard to get the keys for this beta as they can go through 50,000 in less than 3 hours during their Twitch drop streams. I can't wait till it finally gets released on Steam.

About the monetisation: You can buy koen with real money, however, in my experience i havent encountered much trouble with t6 chads running around, most people are very mindful of their money (im talking about ab mobile)

its Tarkov with QoL additions we've been screaming for as a casual "newbie" in EFT ... I don't mind EFT being this hardcore version of extraction shooters but bizarre concepts like excluding player nameplates over teammates or a compass that you or others can ping are seriously THAT much of a friendlier barrier of entry.

You should put your keys in the keychain before going into the game. You can put any loot in the keychain while in the game. Your keys are safe and cannot be looted while it's in the keychain and don't waste your keys in normal mode

Lets talk about microtransaction. I play on mobile version and most of player who spend their money buying secure container and battlepass. As f2p player most of time you can get those free stuff by daily login and weekend event. Yes i know not as much from battle pass but i still manage it if you smart at saving koen.

Most of "casual" stuff in ABI boils down to having tags on teammates and map with gps and marked extracts. Other things are just polish that should be in Tarkov to begin with, (like wheel menu for medkits under dedicated keybind or having map IN GAME, from get go), smoother movement and more responsive player character. I wouldnt call it "casual tarkov" cause i think "polished tarkov" fits way better

In my opinion making money is not that hard, even if your are f2p player because i'm a f2p player myself. One time I got broke I only have less than 120k koen, and when I'm done grind 2 days later I have 400k+ (and yes I have a job too, so I only playing ab in my free time). Tips: If you want to get a better loot you have to play on lockdown zone game mode. Also armory is the best map if you looking for high tier expensive loot, and lastly the stuff you got depends on what ammo and armor you and your squad wear. If all of your squad wear T5-6 armour with lvl5-6 ammo you and your squad had a higher chance to get a high tier stuff.)

The AI behaviour is copy pasted scav AI. Literally exactly how one expects a scav to behave. I`ve also noticed a lot of people having PMCs that behave exactly the same. It makes me wonder if they have AI PMCs to make the raids feel more full.

"the AI, they're not to hard, not to difficult". you don't know the AI in Armory Map yet. they hit hard, and much smarter.

funny coming from a Russian dev, who took heavy inspiration from stalker, a Ukrainian Game, --who would then claim it was his and his Russians friends idea, sounds like a russian for sure to me.

A lot of Tarkov's learning curve is artificial, and contrary to reality they are going for. Imagine being a trained operator going into a hostile zone without a basic map or compass? That shit isn't realistic. The need to eat and drink on a mission lasting 40 minutes. Huh? It's crap game mechanic added to artificially increase difficulty without regard to reality. A trained operator can't go 40 minutes without eating or drinking? Really? There are some good things in Tarkov like the variable crouch and walking speeds, but the mechanics that are there just to make more difficult ruin the experience.

Naaa, SPT is the Tarkov for dads. There's a Pause Mod, infinite raid timer, not to mention the Dad mod that gives you an easier time on heals.

Well, I really wanted and to some degree I learned majority of maps, weapons and all that shit in Tarkov. But cheaters ruined the whole experience for me. I sucked, but it hurts even more, when you loose everything not because of your mistake. I hope, this game will have some proper anti-cheat or something. Can't wait to try this. Just hop in, get my ass handed to me, and hop out. Not a month of learning. :-D Also...Tarkov looks nice, but especially in urban areas. Nature looks like shit. Really ugly IMHO. Nice video btw.

hope they add VoIP to this game as soon as they can, as and for someone who can never find the time to no-life exfil shooters, VoIP interactions are like the diamond in the rough, the true moment to seek for, the real reason to play games like these. But I do agree that the game has that overall off-look that makes it still look mobile despite how realistic and nice it objectively looks, I really cannot describe it, it's like looking at a very well generated AI image, there's something off but I can't quite tell what. I haven't played this yet but ig in a way it looks like it doesn't feel like everything you do corresponds to an individual item/thing such as in tarkov? it's very weird to try and articulate...

3:30 what do you mean "unbalanced"? 😂 I always welcome a whale the wears lvl 6 amor he is simply giving me chance to get good loot Dude don't you know of dum-dum rounds ( they are basically cheap bullets that are bad at penetrating amor but have a stupid high damage to exposed body parts) they are currently no amor for legs and arms in the game which means all you have to do as a broke player is use dumdum bullets and always shoot the legs or arms If you think bots are easy wait till you're fighting the boss on TV station map i swear its like the boss has an infinite source of grenades and poison gass
