How can you have been playing it nonstop if you wrote this comment? Did you write this at the same time as playing? Also you should probably get some sleep, and food. Use the toilet too. Dangerous to play nonstop.
Learning indeed! I want to encourage them, so I'll be buying this, just like I bought Bound by Flame. But in the same breath, I dont want them to take it as "Oh we can make crap and people will buy it." So... half price buy it is *nodnod*
I really hope they receive a bigger budget. The world they created is great on paper, but it seems like they just didn't have the money transport to the game in the way they wanted without cutting edges.
Spiders keep making improvements with their games, they just haven't quite nailed it yet. They always show a lot of ambition and heart in their projects and I honestly think that they'll get there... Just not with this one.
"The RPG elements are the best part here" > Talks about stat crunching and crafting *sigh* Am I the only person who still classes "RPG elements" as player choice and consequence affecting the narrative?
Yes, that's what I vastly prefer. Borderlands is a big pain to me in that way. It's not a bad game, but the only "RP" elements are leveling and stat stuff.
When I hear rpg elements I think "What's that? You weren't able to beat that boss? Oh well. Go restart from your last save and get some levels you shit-bird. Oh what's that? You haven't saved in 9 hours? Sucks to be you."
Yeah the "R" in RPG isnt just a roll you play. By that definition, all games are RPG's. The "roll" implies you are a character and have choices that have consequences. I was raised on RPG's like final fantasy, but that is barely interactible by todays standards. I loved "Kingdom Come: Deliverance". I am also very much looking forward to Dying Light 2. To me, any type of game can be an RPG as long as you create some choice and consequence for the players. Dying light is an action zombie parkour game with a huge crafting system. The next one will be adding a massive interactable city with different factions you can fight, befriend or empower. No two players will have the same map by the end of the game because your choices will effect the citizens, zombies, and infrastructure. So the second one will be an rpg.
I love how 99% of the people that puke trash about the game everywhere they go didnt even played it or played like minutes max. What drives people to do such things? To hate something (without valid reason) and spent tons of time writing stupid hateful comments everywhere. If you dont like it then dont buy it and stop caring about it and do something else. It's so unfair how often much much worse AAA games have great reviews and people wont stop singing undeserved praises, yet very often very good mid budget title gets trashed as hell. Technomancer has reasonable story, very good atmosphere and locations, combat system is very fun, fluid, challenging and variable and it just feels good. Leveling up is rewarding in many ways, all in all it is a very good RPG and they put a lot of work and love into it you can clearly see that if you play it enough and you don't have glue all over your eyes. But no, these days, such devs and such games have to be trashed by almost everyone. Yeah, facial animations are not great and sometimes the voice acting is not top notch, but those are minor things. So yeah, keep wasting your time trashing games you hate on internet if it makes you happy. I am happy that Spiders did this game, i don't regret my pre-order and i am loving my time with this game.
Molda22 the writing is excrlent in my opnion, these people don't know what they're talking about, everyone has a diffrent and kind of a special personality, there are like cool little details, like the beggers with 1 arms, BEST OF ALL TOU CAN MAKE CHOICES AND THEY ACTUALLY MATTER!! in rpgs like witcher 3 and skyrim you have diffrent dialogs to choose fr, but they never actually matter and that drives me crazy...Here it actually means something, you can like finish 50% of the game without even engaging in combat, you can have more than 1 companion, you can romance with the companions...This game is just great
late to these comments here, but i agree i have noticed that too. the reason why facial animations aren't as good as other games has a lot to do with it being an RPG, rpgs run on different engines and are much more complex than that of a linear story game's engine. People wig out too much about graphics, its quite annoying. Give me a good story, and characters and i'll be content.
Everyone has thier own opinions. You can not like a game without "hating" on it. The fighting mechanics and rpg elements are very dull. This game could of been huge for a low budget game.
I bought this game just based on my interest in RPGs and Sci-fi themed everything. I had only started hearing about it shortly before its release date and it honestly seemed like a pass but out of boredom and lack of interest with the current lineup of available games,I purchased it and to my own surprise I am enjoying this game. The story is decent if you can get past the phoned home voice acting. Keep in mind that you are on Mars and if that appeals to you then the setting won't bore you too much. Heck, it might excite you to play a super powered cop on Mars. It's like being in Total Recall! The game looks great even though some character models are reused. The combat fun and can be tailored to your own personal style as you level up a corresponding skill tree. If these guys had put a demo out I think a lot of people who glossed over this title may have found something to smile about in the experience. I've personally been reminded that not ever game has to be perfect to be enjoyable and that even thought most of the reviews seem to dump on this game,I think they just emphasized the shortcomings a tad. Hopefully, Spider can stay motivated and make the next one their Witcher 3.
So true about being able to enjoy games that have quite a few shortcomings. I hope Spider can sell enough copies to keep on doing their thing because I thought this was their best entry yet, yet it's probably the one that's being shit on the most next to Mars: War logs :/
It's worng to compare the fighting system of The Technomancer and The Witcher 3, I leveled up high in both games in The Technomancer no matter how many skills and points you have you still need to dodge every couple of hits, but in the witcher you have many elements that can effect the fighting system armor sets, skill points, potions, oils etc, you can even turn Geralt into a tank using the right choices of those elements and skill point distribution
@@cyprianbednarski7468 right.... obviously armor, potions and oil aren't a fighting system. But, they can-and to great effect, directly/indirectly influence the "fighting system"
Hey Jake! i love this before you buy series. Maybe it doesn't get you the most views but i find it very helpful, and i always check this series before I get a new game!
same it been really helpful to know which games that are hyped up lived up to the hype or the game that are just full of hot air that disappoints the hype
I liked the storyline almost immediately, and seems to have some good RPG design with storyline and dialogue as well as a good/evil alignment system. The combat felt sluggish at first, but once you get used to it and learn a few abilities it gets nice and smooth.
Another example of why you can never trust reviewers. This story is great, the gameplay is fun and makes you feel bad ass. The world is big and had actually interesting side quest. This guy must have put no time into it. Nearly every quests has moral decisions.
Games can either be designed around their mechanics/gameplay or their story. When you decide to focus on one you have to do a good job or you'll get complaints. Technomancer is supposed to be a story driven RPG, but it's boring so it flopped. Same problem with the voice acting - when your game's most important aspect is the story but the characters are boring and aren't voiced well it falls flat. As for graphics... I agree with your point that graphics aren't as important as some make out - but he only made an off-hand mention of the graphics being not amazing but just fine - plus he said some of the world spaces look really good... So no one is judging this game on it's graphics, I'm sure some have/will but 99% of complaints are about the other parts of the game.
Played a couple of hours. It's better than I thought. Story and characters is quite dull. The combat in other hand suprised me, almost comparable to the witcher 3's combat at times. The hitboxes, enemy movements and cramped enviroments stops it from feeling fluid and rewardin tho' All-in-all an ok game. I give it some slack because of the low budget development, but part of the charm is seeing the developers improve imo.
combat in this game just dodge and hit or die. It's same as The Witcher 3 but weird input lag like mario bros movement with timing Moreover, 3 unique style combat and companion from technomancer was awesome. Generally, gameplay was so fun But story, voice acting, and soundtrack is bad. I agree that the publisher hasn't many budget.
+Joseph Zayas Well, it's not like TW3 combat was the best in it's genre (It is pretty solid and rewarding, but it's not in the top). I don't know how it feels to play The Technomancer (I haven't played the game and i don't really want to), but from what i've seen from videos, it takes a lot of insipiration from TW2-TW3 combat.
I am well aware that The Technomancer doesn't nail the same fluid combat as the Witcher 3, but it was the first game that came to mind when the tutorial started. The synergy between the enemy and the player isn't as polished, but there is fragments of resemblance. Then again as HideGaming mentioned, the witcher 3 combat isn't perfect neither. It can be fun and it shines on Death March, but there is room for improvements.
It's not about needing middle games. The thing is these small games are pretty fun. And you can't really grill them for not being triple A because they are from newcomer studios. They have great concepts. If you expect AAA games from everyone you aren't going to get them from anyone. Even big game Devs were small and made not that good games at start. You have to let good newcomer studios like Spiders room to grow. Even CDPR had come to TW 3 by the course of 9 years of game developing.
many reviews i watch have the reviewers playing with the staff and no one using the gun/dagger. i mean, that's how i play and i find the game so much more enjoyable
Nearly 10 hours into this game and quite enjoying it so far. It's not particularly gripping or innovative and you do lots of running back and forth but going to persevere as it has promise. As a side note it's better than Bound by Flame.
I feel the same and got it on the cheap recently too. Those devs either patched A LOT or it wasn’t bad to begin with, however he was reviewing it as a $60 release.
I think people are being way to hard on this game. It's not a big budget game, not made by big developers, and it may not be a great game, but hey. It doesn't seem that bad either. I shouldn't judge because I haven't played it, but show a little grace guys.
they arent judging it on its production cost, but the asking price. i could make a nes game that is actually awersome, but if i were to ask "fullprice", you can bet, the majority would bash it. this game is at best a 40 bucks game(on release), and yet, they wanted 60. so if they want the game to sell for that price, they need to accept the "requirements" people have for that cost. its as simple as that.
isnt that the same thing as saying, the game is not worth the price? besides, its not a matter of "or", by bashing the game for not being good enough, it doesnt exclude it from being bought later on, with a discount. many games arent worth 60, but are ok at 20-40.
It has great fighting mechanics with piss poor facial animations and incredibly stiff voice acting. The story is bland as can be and the environments are completely empty.
Just here to say damn.. played this game for 10 hours and i must say what has to be said. This is one of the best games i've played in a while. First game to ever come close to the KOTOR experience. Fucking love it.
@@bercor4948 yeah you're right! I said it, because I thought maybe the experience could be clouded by more actual games and their new more advanced image and gameplay, but you're right, I mean each game has its own experience and doesn't matter when it came out! Thanks for the comment, will buy it :)
I wouldn't say the devs don't give a shit. This is a straight up budget title and that is fine. Just call it what it is. Don't have to talk down to the guys who probably actually really cared about their project.
Pretentieux Jaloux they definately cared, great graphics, great story, combat is interesting and very fun and challenging, npcs have interesting information, lots of side quests, game did its job 100% better than the first one. This guy doesnt even know what hes talking about lol; he has footage from a few hours in the game (you can tell by how he fights and by the companions he has). This game is definately worth a purchase.
This game is much better than this review gives it credit for. Voice acting is not "awful" and the characters don't look that bad as the review says. Some concerns mentioned here are legit but it does kinda grab you slowly, and the further you go better it becomes. It reminds me of gothic, not as good as gothic 2 but later more mediokrish variants. IMO it's better than elix but not as good as mass effect 1. For the price I would say it's well worth it. 8/10 easy.
I actually pre ordered the Technomancer and I have been enjoying the game very much. Honestly though I did more research into it then watching trailers so I knew for the most part what I was getting for my money. The lip syncing could be better but honestly the only real bad voice acting comes from the main protaganist and antaganist. If you enjoyed KotOR, Dragon Age, and Mass Effect and are fine with it not being the most polished game out there then I would very much recommend the game. Also, the story is there but don't expect a sci-fi epic like Mass Effect.
If someone gave Spiders more money, they could make something really really good. They are always competent enough, but don't quite have the flair. I think a bit of money would take them to the next level.
There electromagnetic mancers. I was expecting more along the lines of "here summon some robots, or conjure up a bad ass turret." Instead i get a character who has 5 attacks that do shit damage until you level it WAAAAY up.
I personally thoroughly enjoyed everything about this game. I cleared it to almost 100% (didn't do any missions for the Vory except getting the weapons shipment... which I held on to and eventually gave to Mutant Valley). I thought the story was great and the post-ending monologue did a really good job of wrapping up my decisions in a way that made me feel like I'd accomplished my personal goals for Mars and it's citizens (as opposed to Dishonoured's lackluster 'good ending' monologue. Dishonoured is still one of my favourite games of all time though). I understood that many things about the gameplay were quite clunky and that could put many people off but I didn't think the story would be the offputting thing for anyone.
Hello everyone! Got this game on it's release date and i have already 9-10 hours into it, this game is not bad, not super good either. This game is ok, and it can help you to pass your time till some AAA title comes up like ff. Also i have never played any game from this developer (and i have played every mainstream rpg, wither 2 3, me trilogy, dragon age trilogy, ff 13 12 10 and the list goes on) This game gives me Mass Effect vibe with 'stolen' elements from other mainstream rpg's. If you like Bioware rpg's then you should try this at some point, it is not better than anything Bioware has created but it is an ok game! Cheers! (also sorry if i killed my English :P)
I'm having a lot of fun with this game, it's giving me a serious KOTOR vibe which is never a bad thing. The combat is definitely clunky, especially considering I just finished playing TW3 so it's made even worse in comparison. That said, it's not so bad that it ruins the game. My biggest gripe is that the voice acting for the protagonist is god awful, it's like the guy wasn't even trying. This is made even weirder, considering the voice acting for a lot of the NPCs are actually quite good. All in all, don't pay attention to the critics, they're being overly harsh on an imperfect yet still worthwhile game. If you're into action RPGs (TW3, KOTOR, Deus Ex: HR, etc), I think there's a lot to like in this unpolished gem.
Finally got this game for 6$ and I have to say totally worth it! Hell I'd go so far as to say it's worth 10$ or so, even now with mass effect out and other games that do this same stuff better. It's quickly become a guilty pleasure game for me.
The game is decent and fun if you are rpg fan.I have more fun with that game than Dragon age inquisition or Mass effect 3.The game have a few problems that are mentioned in the review but i would recommended it to any rpg fan.If you are starving for decent rpg then bay it,if you have a few rpgs that you play at the moment then wait for a sale and if you don't have a lot of money pirated to try it out and if you like it buy it.By the way the game is hard.I had died maybe 10-20 times on the first level against the boss on normal. The fight system is clunky but after 20-30 battles i got the hang of it and became more.... fun.
This is hopefully Spiders' Gateway game to becoming a AAA studio! PLEASE! I LOVE this game so far (24 hours into it atm) and this + an actual budget: THE dream :D If they took the game from me and gave me the money back just to raise the price to 60. I'd still buy it :D Will 100% do multiple playthroughs!
More than half of my library is games with gold. Old 360 and original Xbox games. Newer games are always online or have just been real ass lately. Thanks EA
3.99 on PS store this month. Despite all the negativity. The game was supported with a number of updates. So although the story and premise of the game may be subpar. I wonder if combat and bug fixes are better. They must be.
There are highs and lows to the game so far, but many more lows. I heard by some other reviewers that it get better later into the game, I hope I feel that way when get further in. Hopefully, they make another and improve on this, the idea of this world is great, just at the point I'm currently at it is boring the hell out of me.
V A P O R W A V E L O R D They actually just released update as wrote the last post don't know what it for, though. Edit: it was to fix a broken quest, that is fantastic the got update out so fast, more Devs should be this commented to their games.
So happy you realised this video, I was looking at it on steam but I really didn't know if I wanted to buy it or not because there was absolutely no gameplay video or images on the store page >.
I picked it up today, so i just played about 4 hours so far, but it feels quite nice. The combat is fluid, the charactersystem is interesting and i'm looking forward towards the new perks and spells i gonna get. I instantly fell in love with the rogue fighting style with its dagger and pistol, it's so much fun. I really like the environments and so far i'm interested in the world, i wonder where the conflict is leading, because the first thing you learn is that your skills might be caused by a mutation and it's developed that mutations are not what you wanna have in this world. So i think i know where it's gomma lead me, but i'm interested. The best thing so far is the Score...this mix of Blade Runner meets Escape from N.Y. kind of score sounds great, cyberpunky-gothic-like and it hit me straight. So i hope it will hold this Level So far i like the game, i doubt it will make any toplists, but if it stays on this level and the story stays interesting i think it's going towards a competent 7 out of 10 - a game for genrefans i'd say.
I usually like gameranx reviews like this, but I actually disagree with this one. I didn't find it boring at all, and I can't figure out why you think that. Maybe people who play a lot of games all the time for a living will find it boring because it's pretty same-old in some ways, but I loved the game. It's definitely not perfect; my biggest two problems are the voice acting and the lack of fast travel. In the light of something like Mass Effect, the story isn't anything truly groundbreaking. However if you like atmosphere, worldbuilding, diverse tech/skill trees, and story choices that affect how you can play (and to a lesser extent the ending), then you'll probably enjoy the game regardless.
after finishing this game, i was actually quite surprised by it. I bought it on sale, didn't do much research into it. i knew it was an rpg and i gotta say i was quite surprised. its fun and reminds me of a lot of different games i like, from deus ex to kotor/mass effect. its got these little mechanics from fallout new vegas from skill/speech checks to new vegas sort of reputation system. its like deus ex in style, and you get companions that you also sort of build relationships with though its not as deep as mass effect's companions, but i was surprised that they were even apart of the game. the soundtrack is pretty good too. this is quite a good rpg, i would definitely recommend. it was a fun surprise honestly.
I'm so glad you actually had something good to say about this game, most reviews I have seen have been a bloodbath for the most part. They where trying to compare this to some AAA titles when I don't feel that it's fair, cause they have a much higher budget and dev team working on them. Also they didn't really have anything good to say whereas although this review wasn't entirely positive you still gave it props here and there. This is why I'll keep coming back and watching your videos, thanks :D
glad you put this video out for this game. I usually wait for your videos before I buy a game and wasn't sure if this game would get a video since it wasn't major game
Jake, I always check to see if you have done a review on a game before purchasing. Your reviews are by far best I have come across on RU-vid. Keep up the solid work Gameranx!
Reviews for bound by flame were terrible, yet I wound up really loving the game. The combat is great, and since this one will have the same combat, I'll most likely end up liking it as well. Everyone trashed the story and dialogue of BBF also, called it lifeless, said all the same crap you just said about this one. Once again, I like it and I'm still enjoying it today. If reviews keep destroying lower tier game devs like this, we'll be left with nothing but triple-A bullshit shenanigans. Is that what we really want? Edit: And for me, BBF has more character than any of the big budget games I've tried lately. They did something really great with less bankroll and hype. Kudos to the devs.
Absolutely loved MWL and BBF, and I've been waiting for this game from the moment I finished MWL! Stringing rhythmical attacks combining different stances, electric powers and weapon-procs feels badass in a way that I sometimes miss in big-budget titles. For me this game was a pre-order, but I can see how most may pass it by.
This game is worth purchasing when it goes on sale. I feel that way with all spiders and focus home interactive games. They are good to keep you busy in between the few big releases you might be waiting for throughout the year. They wont blow you away good or bad but it will be something new to play. I wish they would release their games new at 25-30 instead of the normal 40-50 that they have.
I love this series I think videos like this are better than reviews with points. Thank you guys keep this videos coming. I don't know if you are the only one or first to do videos like this but I think that games should be judge base on the pros and cons and what the person that played it feels about it.
If there is one thing I hate about KOTOR, it has to be the walking. You have to walk everywhere and god forbid you get confused on where to go next or what you missed. I would say most of the game is spent walking, and I mean a lot. Other then that it's a great game.
Not only the graphics, but if you ever played some tps game on touchscreen, look at its HUD and you'll see. :/ Btw, I'd like buy, but I'll wait for discount.
0:28 MARS WAR LOGS I guess you are a victim of bad hearsay here. I know many folks who like MARS WARLOGS me included. I still play it from time to time but here I am afraid you have a point. The Concept became bigger but the story itself became less important regrettably. Still for Action Adventure Gamers just interesting in quick fights and lots of Upgrades it is worth a try. After all REMEMBER ME was not better and still became a hit.
I pre-ordered this one and I gotta say it's worth it to me. Combats fun, I love the crafting, I think the story is interesting enough to push me along, if only barely. I think it's graphicly appealing ( environment wise ) and hit/miss with most other things like charters and movement animation. All in all I'd give it a 7.5/10 a game worth your money and a studio that has a love for RPGs and is just trying to make there mark.
+raser abdel I second that, I've played it. it's not good, story is every story you've ever played from every other mediocre game, and the combat is ridiculously exploitable to the point where you could easily get through the game with only pressing one button
What do you suggest to someone who loved Mars: War Logs, but hated Bound By Flame? The lore and voice acting in MWL was mesmerizing, it was a pretty decent indie game. I checked a lot of gameplay videos in the last few month about Technomancer, I'm pretty excited to play a game in the same universe as MWL, but I still have some doubts. I'm not into AAA games, so please don't compare it to Mass Effect, Skyrim or such, but if you played Spiders' previous stuffs, let me know what are the improvements here and does it actually have the same interesting story, dialogs and atmosphere of MWL or not. Should I wait till it gets cheaper or does it worth the money and support?
EonHSD They are selling that 38Euros . If they are selling that for 60euro that would be not okay. Well my point still stands also that game has more content that polish. Not every Indie studio needs to make a strongly polished game sometimes trying to fuse multiple ideas is a good idea . I won't buy it because i want quality.. Low budget low sell price.
+Berukai They're selling it for 54,99€ in the German PSN Store. That's just waaaay too much for an experimental low budget game like this. I bet you're on PC which makes the pricing more affordable, but still.
I truly liked Mars: War Logs, tbh! One of those cozy game's that if you fall for the story, you'll eventually fall for everything else! The game-play wasn't that dull. Combat wasn't too common, it was more about thw story, so I can see why people dozed off during it. Give Mars" War Logs and this a chance! If you genuinely like sci-fi, there's something in these game's for you, I bet!
It will also have roughly ten times the budget and development resources available. I personally really enjoyed Bound by Flame for what it was; a 'B' game. Sounds like this is another one, with improved RPG and combat mechanics. I'll buy it to support the studio so they can continue to grow.
This game was made by a small developer dipshit, of course it can't compete with over hyped trash like cybershit 2077! Small developers like this who try at least deserve some respect!
This game is really underrated ! IGN gave it a 4.9 it’s not perfect game but it’s at least a 6.5 or 7 imo. The game is pleasant surprises, much fun to be had .
both technomancer and Mn9 arent shit, the first is just mediocre, and the second is just VERY disapointing, and yet both can be fun(Mn9 more then TM), however, they arent "worth" their current prices, mediocre, not shit.
Agree with pretty much everything he talked about. I am a HUGE fan of RPG's (character development, customization for weapons, questing, etc.) so those are the elements that are currently keeping me playing. From the very beginning when I heard the voice acting for the main character Zachariah and his master, I immediately knew that the story was going to 100% lifeless so I knew that I shouldn't invest myself at all into it because I would only grow more and more disappointed. If you are a big fan of RPG's and love to develop a character through skill trees, be challenged by a combat system to learn and master it, and customize your weapons' stats [Critical Hit Chance %, Damage, etc.] according to a play style (DPS, survivability, Damage over Time, etc.), then I think you can enjoy this game as long as you purchase it at a discounted price. I got it for the Xbox One while it was on sale on the Microsoft Store for $10.00, and I honestly don't regret it at all. I've put about 14 hours into it, and I'm just a couple missions away from finishing Chapter 1. Almost all of my playing time thus far has been completing side quests, which I recommend doing. Although they are pretty monotonous and boring, it is your main method of earning experience AND the in-game currency, along with some unique weapons/armor. I would probably rate this game a 5.5/10, so if you think that your love for RPG's will allow you to overlook the terrible voice acting and emotionless story, AND you are able to get it at a discounted price, I think that you will enjoy it.
You said something that convinced me to buy it. You mentioned this is similar to Bound By Flame. You know what? I loved Bound By Flame. Thanks buddy. Hope I like it. Its actually $9.99 on sale right now.
Jake Baldino.. AKA, The Great Baldino... I actually got Bound by Flame the day it released on pure coincidence as I was getting something else that day and they just put it on the shelves. If I remember, it was only$30/ $40 or something and my buddy and I beat the game. I thought it was a very good game, especially for an Indie game. Had a lot of fun on Bound by Flame
Thank you! you're videos always really help! by the way, you're voice spunds like the crazy dude from The Darkness 2 XD I forgot his name. Not a bad thing just noticed and thought that was funny.
The Surge and Technomancer are on sale this weekend... Which one is worthy enough to buy on sale ? And judging by what you said on Bound by Flame, I feel like Technomancer isn't the best of those 3 games...
Here's a whole package of late for you. I played Mars: War Logs only recently and found it to be an enjoyable little game. I just got the Technomancer on sale and I'm looking forward to playing it- Five Years after the fact.
After playing Vampire from those guys, and picking technomancer on sale, and after starting the game and i am still playing it, i can say that it's not bad game,i even enjoy playing this game, maybe some day they release sequels for their games.
Hey Jake which one's better The Technomancer or Bound by Flame cause I wanna get them both but I don't know how they are (I haven't seen the video yet)
I love Spiders and their games Something about their clunky, low budget gameplay with poor voice acting is so charming and fun. Hopefully more people get into it
11 hours in, just got to the second city, really enjoying it. don't regret paying full price at all. it's nice having an rpg that's more kotor/mass effect 1 and not all open world game like every other bloody game these days.
