DANG!! Just Watched VH1’s Temptations Movie Again. Haven’t Watched This O Think Since It 1st Premiered Around 20-25 Years Ago When I Was a Kid. Not Too Long After Jackson’s An American Dream Mini Series 𝕊𝕡𝕖𝕔𝕚𝕒𝕝. Thought I’d Search For The Original My Girl Live Performance And To My Surprise I Found zit. I Kept Saying That Those Guys In The Movie Were Really Singing And This One Guy Kept Saying I Was Too Young To Know But They Were Lip Syncing. Looks Like I Was Right. Leon (The Actor Who Played David Ruffin In a The Movie Can Sing For Real) And You Can Tell By The Tone It Was Really Him Singing Thus Song Son The Movie And Not David Ruffin. I Was a Kid At The Time But Smart Enough To Know I Knew What I Was Talking About. Thanks For The Upload. 👍🏽
Philip Sims ...MY GIRL (Gordy 7038) was released on December 21st, 1964. My grandparents bought this classic 45 rpm single, the day after Christmas that same year. MY GIRL was written and produced by Smokey Robinson and Ronnie White. It topped Billboard's R & B and Pop charts in January 1965.

Funny thing is that for Many of us, We KNOW it Was So much better in those years than it is now; eventhough we've got ALL this technology it means absolutely NOTHING versus the longing one has in his or her heart for such beauty back then!!

@@brucescott4261Yeah nah, I just recently discovered that Leon did not use his vocals for any of the existing temptations songs. So that's a goddamn bummer...
@Phillip Brown The album, "The Temptations Sing Smokey " was released on March 22, 1965, whereas the sing, "My Girl" was released on December 21, 1964. So this may very well be debut of the song on television.
