@Some FellaThe fact that his comment was 3 years prior to yours, and I think you're being satirical, made me spit out my coffee, laughing. Thanks for the laugh during an intense work session. Thoroughly appreciated. P.S. Ethan, is a stupid name, not at all cool like some names, such as Ethen.

MrsTruthTeller the soundtrack of the grand budapest hotel was hard to compose whether you like it or not. its an awesome soundtrack and sure deserved the oscar.
This music helped me get through my Time of BIG Change. I felt fear, excitement, impatience, warmth from (international) friends and familiy, Inner Rest during a self-reflection period in Peace and Freedom. A colourful Time where Rain and Sunshine are at the same time together. I experienced that everything is connected when you look throught the eyes of Love and have faith in Life itself. A new Time unfolds right now. It is exciting. It is a Journey. All those feelings are translated in this music. I love it and brings my busy mind at ease. Wish you all excitement in Life itself - it can test you and trick you. You will experience the insightful moment WHY you exist and what your personal purpose is in Life. Don't fear the bears on the road, but N-joy it 2 Live Life with Love!
I don't even remeber how many times I have listened to this soundtrack (and I recommend to do math homework while listening to it! It helps to concentrate!). It's incredible!! Also it's sad that it didn't win an oscar...
The music is very calm. The instruments that are used, and the music itself...there is nothing bombastic to it. He doesn't demand of you to feel the emotions, he gently whispers in your ear. It is all very minimal and yet so effective. Rest in Peace.
I am so upset that he passed away. My mother was about to write to him. Brilliant music. I listen to this track when I do all of my homework, drive, sleep, relax, write. Forever changed my life.
Picture Dialogue: Jane: "Come on, Stephen!" Stephen: "Uh, I'm not too sure," Jane: "Come on! Just do it! It'll be fun!" Stephen: "Okay, fine. I'll do it."
+DavidTejeda078 I recently started listening to this kind of music. My other favorite soundtracks are from the films The Danish Girl, Carol, Mr.Holmes, etc...
Uma das trilhas mais comoventes! Tocante, vai no fundo da alma! Eu fico pensando como alguém pode criar uma coisa tão linda assim! Só posso ser profundamente agradecida por poder ouvir isso....
Suddenly missed his music, then I remember I was shocked to see "in the memory of Johann Johannsson" after the movie credit of Sicario 2 rolls. I never felt so shocked and confused. :( He was one of my favourite and great composer in our times, and now he has left us. RIP, to a brilliant mind; Johann Johannsson.
A brilliant piece of work from a brilliant composer. I think anyone who loves this should find the Fordlandia album and listen to that, because it's yet another example of the genius of Jóhann Jóhannsson.
Suddenly studying anything becomes a pleasure! What a gift from this wonderful composer - or was he 'just' a conduit for our loving God to bring this music to us?
Of course he was (whether he even knew it or not), but that takes nothing away from him. When the Holy Spirit comes to us, he loves us, heals us, blesses us for what we are; cleanses and offers inspiration. It happened to me. Now I am me-plus, but still me. Far from perfect, but better, richer in what I can do in some special ways. When I write such posts, I dream of being a conduit. It is what I long for as I feel the joy and satisfaction at the possibility that I might be giving something back to the Paraclete who has changed me, offered me a new way. I am the last person ever to expect to call himself "Born Again". But it happened - in a clear and tangible and measurable way. I am a scientist, and needed proof - I got it, and as ever with God it came not just in tiny amounts, but in ABUNDANCE.
Listening to this while writing code makes me feel so smart! It's crazy how music can make you feel, because I usually feel really dumb when I'm coding.
All the music are extremely beautiful, especially The Game Of Croquet, Cambridge, 1963 A Model Of The Universe and The Wedding. I'm really listening to this CD because it will inspire me a lot in my compositions, it has inspired me in my latest!

I've been listening to this score a lot lately. Even though I loved the "Grand Budapest Hotel" score aswell, it makes me kinda sad that Johansson's work hadn't got the Oscar.
Listening to this exquisite music reminds me that magic really is all around us, all the time, we just need to connect to it, and allow it to transport us to beautiful places deep within the soul.
Eddie Redmayne was perfect in this role. It's great that Stephen Hawking could see his biopic. Doctors said he was going to die young but he lived 76 years! (sorry for my bad english)
Are we really who we think we are ? Have we really traveled far ? Maybe just in our mind As life moves quickly we sometimes fall behind The older we get the more we realize how small we are Mother Earth is just a minnow in the ocean of this vast and expanding universe Sometimes I cry when I think - WHO really am - I
I like the poem, and thank you for it. However, we are no minnows, because the place for us in the universe as beloved and important is clear. God loves us and wants us to be what we can be, hence the operations of the Holy Spirit/Paraclete, including in outstanding, transcending music.
Not seen the movie but absolutely love listening to the soundtrack. Domestic Pressures one of the most brilliant songs I've heard in the last few years. People here talking about doing their homework and essays while listening to it, never tried it (probably because I don't associate as much with studying having not seen the movie). Maybe I'll give it a go. RIP Jóhann, a genius who was in the uppermost class of cinema music writing, not to mention his great solo works.
