The master of assassin in the Third Grail War is actually from the Faldeus Family, meaning he is an ancestor of one of the organizers of Grail War of Strange/Fake
The thing with Fate's magic system is that everything is based on connections. There are servants we can summon that should not be possible at all, but because we have a certain connection to that version of the servant we can and will summon them in that form. Think of any of the Lostbelts kings in FGO (e.g., Arjuna alter, Qin Shi Huang). Additionally, we see a lot that you can use catalysts as a way to manipulate which servants can be summoned because these objects have some connection to that servant (e.g., a piece of the round table for Mordred, a piece of cloth for Iskandar). So based on its magic system, the rule that (initially) only western servants could be summoned makes sense as the holy grail also has great connections to Western civilization. Here, you can see the holy grail as a catalyst for Western servants but on a much larger scale. I agree though that this rule is unnecessary because there are some really cool servants that you normally would not see because of this limitation. Tldr: the rule of only western servants because the holy grail is Western makes sense based on the magic system, but that doesn't mean I want to keep the rule.
In a flash back in the manga a there is a bald man beside the caster class servant so I think Zouken summoned the caster class servant in the third holy grail war

I have a bit of a separate theory for the Edelfelt sisters Saber instead of Charlie and Karl. Given what LB6 reveals what if that Saber was the split between Morgan le Fay and Vivian?
2:00 my suspicion about the imperial master is that they tried to summon Oda Nobunaga in all the timelines but only succeeded in the Imperial grail wars because (2:50) you can't normally summon Japanese/Chinese Servants, only western servants. (Amakusa Shirou and Kojirou Sasaki not included) This rule is reversed in the imperial wars in Type Redline. My theory is that they accidently summoned the next option, a leader type of Servant, like a King or Queen 9:27 the servants we know are: Saber: Toyotomi Hideyoshi (Koha Ace Master: Rin/Sakura) Lancer: Nagao Kagetora (Koha Ace Master: Satsuki Yumizuka) Archer: Oda Nobunaga (Koha Ace Master: Artoria) ??? Unknown (Koha Ace Master: Illyasviel) 9:33 in the recent Type Redline chapters, 34 and 35, its shown Oda Nobunaga was summoned again for the Redline war, killed her master and formed a packed with Kaname. This means that Nobunaga most likely died during the events of the 3rd war of Redline, before being summoned again for the redline war, meaning Kaname was not her original master in the 3rd Redline war, as Kaname was used as a mana battery for the circle + the catalyst they already had. This means it was simply another solider 11:00 Apparently, somehow, 3rd war's Assassin's Master, a relative of Faldeus Dioland, put his memories of the war into a doll, which was discarded until they decided to use it, along with a stolen piece of the einzbern's greater grail to make their own grail war in America. My theories on the servants: Saber: I like the idea of it being Sir Kay (English and Welsh versions of Sir Kay are summoned, also Sir Kay shares a lot of abilities with Cu Chulainn I.E Weapon that can inflict unhealable wounds and a madness mode, like Cu's Warp Spasm) Lancer: Fionn Mac Cumhail Archer: I prefer the idea that Zouken summoned Archer over the imperial master because A) Zouken would see it as a disgrace to summon a mage stronger than him and they summon medusa rider in the 5th war. (Archer, Rider and Caster are the missing Servants) Id say he has a kind of servants who are at their lowest point by the end of their life I.E Hassan (giving his old self up to the sect of the Hashashin to become the new Hassan), Medusa (being the gorgon), Lancelot (causes the downfall of camelot), Nickola Tesla (poor while edison was rich), Hector (Corpse was humiliated by being dragged throughout the city of troy by achiles' chariot), or Robin Hood (lived and was killed as a nobody) Zouken being able to summon Hector is part of my personal headcanon for the 1st war. And Robin hood is my personal headcanon for Zouken's servant for the 3rd war. Rider: Unknown (most likely the imperial master because riders are more likely to be the types of leader Nobu was than casters are I.E Ozymandias, Marie Antionette, Medb, and Iskandar) Caster: Unknown (Tohsaka by elimination, could easily switch servants half way through the war. Kirei suggests it's been done "several" times before the 4th war) Assassin: Most likely Hassan of the shining star. Shining Star could be a metaphor for "Big ball of fire" AKA "EXPLOOOOSION!!", and Cyber Phantasy blows people's heads up in one touch. (Hundred face has a hundred face's, and cursed arm uses their arm in their delusional heartbeat NP) His Master is said to be a relative of Faldeus Dioland, the master of FSF's True Assassin. Berserker: Replaced by Angra Mainyu, Avenger, or Amakusa Shirou Tokisada, Ruler.
It was from an older interview with Nasu. As for these two, EMIYA is a Counter Guardian so he's not a normal Heroic Spirit. He made a contract with the World, so the restriction no longer applies to him because East or West is irrelevant to his origin, he is a servant of the World as a whole. And Kojirou is a product of Rule Breaker. He also breaks the restriction of Assassins, as they are only supposed to be the Hassan-i-Sabbah. So really, all restrictions are irrelevant to him thanks to Medea.

@@Takeru006 The "No Eastern Servants" should actually be more appropiately called "No Japanese/Chinese/maybe Korean as well Servants", originally for Zero Urobuchi wanted to use a Chinese Xian, but when he asked Nasu he told him about the rule, so yeah it's more like those specifically
