Also, as i replied to someone else, that church location is the church of Piribebuy. Some war crimes was comited there in that war by the hand of the portuguese/brazilian side.

A bit of historic about this video They make allusion to a war between Paraguay vs Brasil Argentina and Uruguay in 1870 where the country was comoletely destroyed and masacrated by the Count d'Eau (portuguese-brazilian general in charge of the allied) Most historians says it was genocide, because as some argentinian general ordered all males over 12 years old should be excecuted. The siege of Piribebuy was one of the last holds before the paraguayan president fell. In this particular siege, a paraguayan sniper (more like a sharpshooter because they still used muskets back then... and machetes as swords) took some seargent who was the lover of this Count d'Eau... so he went mad of rage and the people sufered a big deal of bloodshed... not the soldiers (there wherent many by this time), just people, women and children... That church where this video is filmed is the church of Piribebuy, it was a field hospital. It has some particular dark story about war crimes comites by the brazilian/portuguese military... There was a battle where there was no adult soldier, only kids dressed as adults... you can imagine how that went... This song is brutal. Hope you like it more with this few historical background

I can't speak for Cosmic, but I've interpreted it to mean someone who sticks to the Metal Standards... Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, etc. Which are all fantastic. But the Metal Scene in the US has (with a few exceptions) run a bit dry over the last 20 years. So there are a lot of Metalheads who have been listening to the same albums on a loop for a while, and kinda wrote off a lot of the European (especially Scandanavian and German) bands. So a veteran of mainstream heavy and thrash metal, but new to folk-metal, symphonic metal, operatic metal, and often a lot of the newer prog-metal, etc... But also other non-metal genres that strike a similar chord. I may be wrong in that assumption, but I know a lot people who that describes, so that's how I interpret it.

I was stuck on only a few bands because I felt like they were the best the genre had to offer. Thats changed, and im trying to discover new music and get out of that limited mindset.
