The Three Legged Dogs of Slab City

Three legged dogs always make me tear up or cry. It's incredibly beautiful to me that dogs are still so happy and can live such great lives and not even really notice they're missing something. Thanks for sharing the video!

I am going through this right now. My dog was hit by a car today and her leg has to be amputated. It's very emotional and scary all at once. I am glad there are people out there who have been through this. Makes me feel better knowing my Bella will be okay and happy.

Thank you for submitting this video to youtube. We are awaiting the return of our 5 year old staffie girl from the vet following the removal of her left rear leg due to a vehicle accident. Not knowing anything about tri pawed dogs has been quite worrying to our family concerning how both we, and our girl would cope. After viewing your vid, we feel more in control and confident that, given time, love and patience we can give our pup a good life that she deserves . Once again thank you for your effort.

Hi searched slab city cause I use to live out there back in the 90's...lol....poor puppy but lucky puppy too:)

My dog shattered his femur just three days ago. Same leg as the dog in this video. Vet said, the damage is so severe it might have to be amputated. He's calling other vets to see if any can operate. So far none can help. If Goofy is about to become a "Tripawd" (never heard that term), this video made me realize he can still play and enjoy life. Thanks for that. :)

Damn it can run really really well for only having one back leg. At least the dog survived.

My little Jackie had to have her front leg off today because she had, had a lump removed from the and it hadn't healed. A very worrying time. B it nice to see that dogs can get by on three legs

My dog has cancer and this monday his leg is gonne be amputated.. i hope everything go's well

My dog has a huge tumor on his leg. We got it removed before which costs loads of money but it grew back. Now we have to take his leg off. If it's not so expensive. I'd rather have a three legged dog then a dead dog :( Wish us luck!

The same story just happened with my dog and a train, if his leg doesn't heal because of infect he will be the same as this poor dog.

All the dogs I've seen, losing a leg doesn't seem to bother them much.
